Kuroiwa is a solid number 1 for me too, honestly maybe my favorite RGG boss fight full stop. The atmosphere, the music, the story leading up to it, the fight itself across multiple locations, I've never wanted to beat a boss as badly as I wanted to beat Kuroiwa, Judgment is peak RGG for me, and that's saying a lot.

I wholly respect his opinion though, and Ibuchi deserves to be as high as it is here. Say whatever about the boss fight itself, the intro is amazing. The fact that people have so different takes on these and how it's difficult for them not to choose a determined intro spot for, not a top 10 or 5, but a top 25...? Says a lot about how amazing they are.
Besides the fight itself, for me the coolest intro of them are Kiryu vs Kuze on the Sewers and later against Shibusawa, none of the other games gave me the same goosebumps than those 2 damn fights (and i thought the first time we fight Kuze was cool af already)
