I’m so pleased with the result of my Kookaburra painting! Thank you David. I have also been to Australia and heard these birds. We were just east of Cannes at the waterfalls and around dusk we began hearing what I thought was a frog. A ranger let us know that we were hearing the Kookaburra bird! Such an amazing sound from a bird - very memorable.
The kookaburra is exotic looking and like his fluffy head and he does look as though he is almost smiling. All the details especially in his feathers make him a striking bird. Wow, another great painting completed!
Oh Dave that was funny, first the dogs barking, love it, love dogs; and then the word drop; I do it all the time. Good laugh and those birds are so adorable! Thanks for not editing it out, real is great. Mary in NC.
@@JansenArtEducation My little Shihtzu always wanted to paint with me. I put the brush in her paw, dip it in paint and put it on paper. Then I praised her and she was so proud of herself....but she was only 12 lbs. She is in heaven now but eventually I will find her again. See you in the next video, thank you.
Thank you so much for your videos. I do wish it was a little brighter when you do the actual painting brush work. It's just a little dim to me. But I love to watch your beautiful painting techniques.
Filming is set to normal Jeri. You may need to turn up the brightness on your monitor or it is using the wrong color profile which makes all the colors look darker. In over 2 million views this year no one has said it looks too dark. Check your settings.
T!otal beginner here. I love Kookaburras, they are my favourite bird! I thoroughly enjoyed your tutorial and learnt so much. I can't wait to get started on my kookaburra.
I’m so happy to have watched this video. Normally I watch you do flowers but your descriptions and explanations are spot on. I’m sure my next bird will be spectacular! Thank you so much for helping all of us, artists. Joanne
Thank you for showing how to build the tones from dark to light, I never really thought about the tones to take a lot of layers that is why my paintings became stiff and lifeless I didn't build my color up.
Hello. My 1st oil picture was with your video. It was some years ago and my English was worst then now. But your words was clear and understandable. Thank you very much for your works, for your videos and for you. Don’t lose your muse! Hello from Ukraine.
Another wonderful painting. I like this very much. The description during painting is so informative for me.Thank you so much for sharing. Some artists don’t give much description. So thanks a lot dear David 🙏🏻🙏🏻😍😍😍

Yes. They all work different. Find a teacher on the internet that uses what you like to use and follow them. I use Heritage acrylics only for everything I paint. Many of the techniques I use I design for that media. Find a teacher that uses your choice. Thanks so much 😊
Hi #DavidJansen, I have been a follower of your channel for quite sometime now. I love your work and the abstract effects. In the same video description, I have given a shoutout to your name and the channel for your type of painting with flowers. If you get a chance, please have a look.
