This is the prettiest bird and rose painting & just love all of the many different colors in the caffinch. I have been working on a goldfinch painting and now Mike wants to start birdwatching! Thanks for your demonstration & potential new hobby.
I really like when you talk. I learn so much history, to which I find endlessly fascinating! I love how you don't blend and use your finger. I love how the colors layer to give such life to your subjects. This is a whole new way for me to paint but, I love the look and energy of it all. I really appreciate you and all the knowledge you share. Now I need to watch it again 😉. 😁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁
Can't keep up. You are so much fun to watch even if I can't paint as fast as you. I learn something new every time I watch you. I'm here in God's country now where all these beautiful birds come to visit every morning. I need to spend more time painting and less time on the porch watching the birds play. Thanks David for all you do for us wanna be painters....wanna be as good as you painters.😃
Thank you Kelly, at our house in Pennsylvania one of the rooms in my studio has a HUGE picture window where I put out bird feeders. Just love painting in that room and watching the birds. They are so inspirational. 😀
Beautiful painting of the sketch done 160 years ago! My hubby was in the USAF, and we were blessed to go to Paris and toured the Louvre way back in 1975. And that WONDERFUL painting that hangs in the living room at the studio! So beautiful! I am trying to get out of a slump. ❤️😊
Painting and creating can get you out of that slump. If your on facebook Diane, join the group "Academies of Decorative Art". It is a large group of my students sharing, talking and working through the processes of creating. Lots of fun help and great people in the group. 😀
Oh, how beautiful, and the colors. Your birds give me a whole new appreciation of their beauty. Thank you mr. David Jansen it is an honor and a privilege to witness your artistic mastery. Respectively Speaking.
David, I love your work! I also appreciate your videos. I have been using your paint for yrs, back when it was JoSonya. Great paint. I still have some of the original paints, and while they are a little thick now from their age, I still use them.
Hi Heather, This is not JoSonja paint or anything like it. This is a new formula I created in 2008 for new generation painting techniques. Completely different. Thank you !
This bird is so real!!! I have the filing that I can touch it! Amasing I am inspired from this video to go deeper in paintings. I wanted to do flowers, but flowers and birds are so powerful and asome combination!!!
Just finished your American goldfinch painting today...inside my garden shed. I'm happy with how it came out and thank you for your wonderful tutelage! Will be ordering some new paints soon too.
Wow I absolutely love the colours in this painting I was waiting for the bird to fly away So perfect. I came in contact with my ex art teacher from 20 yrs ago I asked her if she had heard of you She said she had met you in Melbourne in 2002 Showed me pictures of you and Martha You had very dark hair then 😊. She thought you were both really lovely Thanks for the lesson David Hope your paints will soon be available in oz
Sou brasileira e nem entendo muito a língua inglesa, mas este homem possui uma forma de ensinar tão agradável, uma voz tão querida e pinta tão maravilhosamente, que assisto às aulas e me encanto com os ensinamentos dele. Wonderful!!!
@@JansenArtEducation I save all of the utubes that you have done but on the last few bird challenge it won't let me save them do you know why because I try to go back and study them. Help!
David, I been watching your Dutch Masters Painting on website. That is a tremendous amount of work. Don't think I would have ever painted any thing if I had to do all that. Doing a flora and thought perhaps do a little Grisaille on the flowers each a different value ( but no detail) just to let the light colors shine through like your yellow rose with the white under tone
I let my acrylics dry. That is why I do it. I do not blend colors. Paint does not have to be wet to paint. I developed these techniques because I could not use oils any more because of my health. Watch my other videos, you will see I let paint dry. It doesn't have to be wet to make a beautiful painting. Thank you!!!
I have done that many times. I will here in the challenge. To be honest though, when I put them in branches etc, they do not sell as well for me. Something about adding the second element of flowers makes them sell for more and faster. I will do it. 😀
Hi Dave I have put some stuff in my gallery in your Jansenartonline.com how do I get you to see them? By now I have done more and sometimes get one flower nearly there haha
David you said you don’t know the black collared barbet. Google it is a southern African bird very popular should sell well with all the South Africans that have settled in USA.
Superb,la superlativ!
Va urmaresc cu mare drag!❤❤❤
Picturile dumneavoastra,sunt,deosebit de frumoase!❤❤❤

Hi Joanne, We have nothing to do with that. We are using the same settings. It is something with RUclips. Sorry.
You can always go to JansenArtOnline.com and download the videos there.

It is a lot of work, but they did it that way in the old days because pigments were so expensive, black and white were not. 😊
Ok... I'm gonna try to paint this out, smaller but I'll try... no more fear.
Awesome. You got this!
Gorgeous
Thank you Sherry.
How beautiful !
Thank you! Cheers!

LOL.. Me too sometimes.

Sorry to hear about toxic oil paint , like perhaps cadmium red, yellow or green? Guess I was exposed to it too only for about a year.
Yes, just have to be careful. My problem is we weren't as artists in the 70's and 80's.
Buonasera. Per favore, mi può dire che tipo di pennelli utilizza? Grazie. Cari saluti
I use Fusion Brushes from Global Art Supply. The link is in this video description. Thank you.
Sir I'm just a mad fan of ur art sir can u teach us hydrangeas please
Yes. I can do that. I will try to do soon. Thank you!
Stunning, could I ask you to put one on a branch please and also paid a Robin. Thank you.

You have to make sure everyone can see it. Only people you friend can see them. Best way is to just make a normal post. Then everyone can see it.
David you said you don’t know the black collared barbet. Google it is a southern African bird very popular should sell well with all the South Africans that have settled in USA.
Yes, I immediately googled it when you mentioned in your last comment. Beautiful bird.
Hi, what kind of board do you use for your small painting?
MDF or hardboard.
Good video,
Glad you enjoyed it Neena.
Una favola
Thank you.
