I just love your artwork David, plus your videos are done so well, no music and soft even voice. There are a lot of YT painters I like but what drives me away is loud irritating music or their voices start screeching, and I go running for the remote..haha. Your teaching and explanation skills are encouraging too. Thank you.
So surprised that I’m able to do a good representation of these birds! It’s all due to David’s excellent teaching of color. I plan to take his color theory class. BUT breakthrough for me are the flowers! I took the Roses and Wildflower challenges but today I was able to let go and let it happen. My flowers are beautiful! Thanks again, David!❤
I have been painting butterflies.Met and watched William H Howe paint. I am learning alot and trying birds. You are so good at teaching. You have the gift. Thanks for all you do.Steve
Love your way of painting so much! I purchased your “starting kit” last week and already arrived in the Netherlands. Thank you for the fast sending! Tomorrow I will get started..... Your new fan, Angelique

thankyou so much for your clear instruction David. I love to paint the lovely little red winged fairy wren that we have in western Australia I usually paint with coloured pencil or watercolour and have wanted to paint them in acrylic but haven't tried until now. I have been following your videos and practising, now I feel as if I am succeeding. I still need to loosen up a bit more with the blossoms and background but I have finished a painting and am happy with it. Roses are a bit beyond me just yet but I will keep practising. once again thankyou.
I started watching you a few months ago. I am a new painter. I love learning color theory. I Thank you I did not understand before why my colors would turn grey or a color I did not want, when mixing blending Also love how you tell us why we are bringing the color of the subject into the background. And showing us how to make the subject pop Now I see that in other paintings. Thank you for this sharing your understanding of color.
Another brilliant painting. Am fascinated with the way you build your picture. Am learning a lot from watching you paint thank you so much for sharing.😃💜
This little wren is so pretty. I love the more casual flowers with the realist bird. I have painted wrens in oil hope I can do it with acrylics. I am trying to paint small paintings for my great grandbabies mothers to thank them for my wonderful babies for Mothers Day. This is beautiful. Thank you.
Hello Dave, Beautiful kind of bird I love it, your technique how to paint that wonderful bird with amazing colour makes it more beautiful. Thank you Dave 💐
Beautiful painting! This lesson video is awesome. It clearly explains the difference in how to paint the main bird and the supporting flower. The last piece of advice especially touched my heart. Thank you very much,David. You are awesome! Yes,we like light purple blue like Sapphire. Sapphire can be made from other pure 4 colors and I many times mix some colors to create movement, so no problem! 😁✌️
Thank you so much David for the wonderful master class! This is the best thing I've seen! I painted this picture. Ive done it well😊. I didn't have a pine green color, I used green veridone. Basically, it looks the same as yours. You're an amazing artist! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Best wishes in New Year!🌞
Love the building of the colors in the bird and how to use the little round fusion to make details. I've been using the flat only so I'm eager to try detailing with the round. :)
Hi David. I painted this yesterday but couldn't find the comments section . I didn't have any small brushes when I painted the bluebird but I got some before I did this wren. Thank you for this series. I have been painting since sometime in March. I Wanted to send you a picture but can't find the button to add it.
Hi Miriam, Can't add anything on RUclips. If your on facebook we have a group call the "Academies of Decorative Art" . Everyone is posting there. Thanks! 😊
Hi Helena, We are adding them to our websites. Give us just a couple days. You will be able to find photos of all the challenges at JansenArtOnline.com or in the future at JansenArtStudio.com in the free videos section.
You can try it. It will be different because I let some areas dry before applying the next layer. I don't like layers of colors to blend with my techniques. This is why I prefer acrylics. Thank you.
Very long and detailed subject. I discuss pigments, how they work and all about how they make colors in my color theory classes. Not a simple subject to give a fast answer to. Thank you.
We have no way to translate. We don't speak Spanish. It costs $300 to $400 for us to translate videos into other languages. Too expensive for free videos.

Thank you , a beautiful Wren . Would you like to paint a beautiful Peacock for us???
That is a beautiful bird. Our neighbors in California had some. They called out each evening. I will do it in the future!
Love it
Thank you Barbara
So beautiful! I would like to paint this in oils, but I dont know if its posible to get the same effects kinda following the same steps, is it?
You can try it. It will be different because I let some areas dry before applying the next layer. I don't like layers of colors to blend with my techniques. This is why I prefer acrylics. Thank you.
Dear David, I read your lesson about Pigment. Where are the Pigment from?? What is the Chemische Formel of Pigment??
