I comment on this beautiful line that I saw again this summer, but then I was no longer able to comment for various reasons. We can see how Croatia is strengthening its rolling stock, from the new Koncar class electric trains or EMUs, and from the new stations and new tracks built, following European standards. There has been talk for years about building a new high-speed Zagreb-Budapest and Zagreb-Rijeka line or in any case following European parameters. On the Hungarian side, as you highlighted in another video, you can already see the renovations of the tracks and stations. There are also several upgrades on the Zagreb Koprivnica Line: it seems that the Government is taking this seriously! I remember that years ago the lines were in a decadent state still typical of the old Yugoslavian railways. Air of change? We hope! The line from Krizevci to Virovitica, passing through Bjelovar is a typical regional line of Slavonia, or the upper part of Croatia: diesel trains, curves in the first section, straights in the second, with a local atmosphere far from the big international railway. In the first section there is an air of renewal, in the second you can still see the local atmosphere of the small genuine things of the past. That is why we like Rail Relaxation, because there is the union between the environment and railways, international and local lines, Europe and outside of Europe! Good boy!
@wladislaw79 Thank you very much for all your very interesting comments. I will keep doing my best to present more of those very beautiful lines, from Europe, and from ather parts of the world...

Tamo od Sesveta do Dugog Sela nakratko dođe do 110-115km/h no ne baš i dalje.
They were license built in early 1980s in Croatia/Yugoslavia by Đuro Đaković factory in Slavonski Brod. Their previous (JŽ) class is 645, they were made with 4 powered axles to reduce weight as they are (A1A)(A1A).

@@RailRelaxationThank you. I thought that might be the case but the fences seem to extend a long way into the countryside. Perhaps the faster trains will be noisier.
Where's it getting the hydrogen? Don't say wind turbines for it is not a windy country. Batteries? Hydro? Didn't see many mountains. It is a poor country not blessed with resources.
@@wilsonflood4393 Electric Hydrogen or fuel cells, there are local producers... As to not being a windy country, about 15-20% of all of its energy comes from wind, country has over 1000 wind turbines, between 1-5Mw in size and another 500 are planned in next 2-3 years. Solar is also growing fast, Croatia generates about 30% of all of its electricity from renewables, if you include Hydro potential then it is well over 50%. You need to google images of Croatia, to get some idea of what the landscape is like, but there are loads of mountains in Croatia, and rivers/lakes and even a sea. It is a top 10 tourist destination in Europe, top 20 in the world, over 20 million foreign visitors visit Croatia each year. And the country is in the EU, NATO. Schengen and Eurozone. So it is doing ok, but its railway infrastructure is bit old and dated. As I type this, Croatian Railways plan to purchase 50-70 new bi-mode/battery trains to replace existing fleet of 60 or so diesel trains that will be retired by the end of this decade. However, rail tracks and signalization needs to be modernized across all lines, not just the mainlines. Something that will take decades.
