Magnifico vídeo con muy buena información sobre modernización y extensión de esta vía. El ferrocarril en muchas sociedades está renaciendo y los estados apuestan por ello.
It is very interesting to watch the stages of such construction work, as the individual built and repaired pieces are joined together. However, such work can be inconvenient, so I wish the locals patience and patience. Очень интересно смотреть за этапами таких строительных работ, как отдельные построенные и отремонтированные кусочки соединяются воедино. Однако, такие работы могут доставлять неудобства, поэтому местным жителям желаю выдержки и терпения.
We hope that it will be finished by end of 2025. Actually there are two separate projects - first one is Dugo Selo - Križevci which is horribly late and was supposed to be finished years ago but construction company went bankrupt and it took a while to re-start the project, and Križevci-Koprivnica-border which started later but is progressing much better and more-or-less on-time (some acceptable delay). Currently, plan is that BOTH would be finished by end of 2025 so we'd have full 160km/h double-track from Dugo Selo to border with Hungary, then the trip (with fast train) from Zagreb to Koprivnica should take about 45 minutes (so half of this time).
@@berkhofduvedec What can be seen in TEN-T maps is that there is a plan to (re)build Gyekenyes triangle, which would allow trains to either go right (41/40 Gyekenyes->Dombovar) or left (30 Nagykanizsa then to Balaton) so there are two mainlines on Hungarian side that can take the traffic. Also, if Nagykanizsa-Zalszentivan gets electrified (it is in plans for years now) then there will be a nice route towards GySEV network and north (Austria/Slovakia and consequently Czech Republic and Poland). So it should be OK on the Hungarian side even without major reconstructions, though EU might release funding for Hungary on these international connections).
Here is another international line from Koprivnica to Zagreb.... here you can see how the work has been done to a large extent... let's hope they continue to adapt to European standards. The vibration when the locomotive is started is thrilling? What kind of locomotive is it? The route is relatively short. It would be nice to make a cabride from Maribor to Pecs, passing through the Drava via Ormoz, Cakovec, Gyekenes and Barcs but I know it is not easy. I wonder if the route to Siofok has been improved on the Hungarian side. However, there is a chasm between the Slovenian and Croatian railways! The station in Krizevci is now modern.... I hope that in the future they will also upgrade the lines to Osijek and Varazdin! Nice work!
10:40 - oh wow, i cant believe that they made Animal Crossing real. and there i was thinking it'd just be a game forever... :P i have to admit i do like seeing cabviews where tracks are being rebuilt, its usually best if they're taken once every 1-3 months to see the progress of the works. i think other channels do it tho.
@CFRTrainSpotter It is always good to see the progress of the works..if it is filmed too many times could be boring to some people though. Thank you for your comment.
Section between Vrbovec and Dugo selo are stuck cause company behind it DIV went bust and pulled other contractors down, however works restarted as seen by this video, but still nowhere near as active as section between Krizevci and Koprivnica. Section between Krizevci and Vrbovec is complete, but has few touches that need to added here and there. Entire section once complete will be main trunk line between Budapest and Rijeka. Entire 80;.8km section will be completed in mid 2027, then trains will be allowed speeds of 160kmph, there'll be cargo train depo at Krizevci and Koprivnica, with old track still used when there's a heavy usage of the mainline but only for cargo. Between 7am and 12pm, passenger trains will have precedence and line is being built with that in mind. Section between Dugo Selo and Glavni Kolodvor will be modernized, and plan is to add 2 additional tracks along entire stretch, 21km, it is called Zagreb Node, which also includes Zagreb by-pass, currently only in design phase. However work on this section should start before 2028 and last 3 years. Eventually speeds on entire section from Rijeka to Koprivnica will be increased if demand is there. It is designed for speeds up to 250kmph, with current speed limited to 160kmph. The cost of entire line from Rijeka to Koprivnica will cost around €4,2 billion. Line is also financed by the EU structural funds in tune of 85%, with Croatian Government setting aside around €1.0 billion, due to delays in some sections being completed.
@@RailRelaxation Yep, in spring of 2026 perhaps. Depends on section between Vrbovec and Dugo Selo being completed. Company that caused original delay in construction works, DIV has recently logged a complaint with the HZI, Croatian Rail Infrastructure company which is responsible for the project, so they're complaining for being excluded from this project, very same company DIV has a troubled history and has bankruptcy proceedings against it. So this process is likely to delay stuff on the line by at least 4-5 months. Croatian government increased funding for Vrbovec - Dugo Selo section to be completed by two companies DALEKOVOD and ZAGREB-MONTAŽA, both are also facing financial problems as a result of DIV group going bankrupt. Suffice to say, line will be built due to new funding, but there might be delays. Just to ad, it is highly likely, Croatian government from now on will be reluctant to give such massive projects to a local firms without extensive experience in building rail infrastructure. In Croatia very few companies can complete such projects, so it is very likely future projects of such nature will be built mostly by a foreign contractors. Example of how messy things really are, Rijeka €370 million rail modernization and work on 2nd track through the city have been delayed cause company that did original design work only completed 40% of the actual design project due to lack of staff to actually go out on the terrain and do thee actual work. So another company will do it now, but this delays whole nizinska pruga from Rijeka to Zagreb, again this will be line built for 160kmph but allowing future upgrade up to 250lkmph, so it needs to be built with that in mind. Anyway, the whole thing is delays cause Croatia lacks companies that can do some of the work. Chinese firms are now excluded from Croatia's public tenders due to EU policy and EU funding must first go to EU based contractors that do such projects across the EU for over 2 decades. So there's loads of issues ahead for such mega projects. No idea how Slovenian Rail company is doing that Divaca - Koper line, but they're doing it very fast and very successfully from looks of it, perhaps this should be a guide for Croatian Rail infrastructure projects in the future, look how your neighbours did it.
