I totally agree with your point. MJX should not have used phillips head screws on the bottom of the chsssis. I dont understand why some RC manufacturers continue doing that.
It’s easier to machine an “x” than a hexagon. Probably also let’s them get away with using softer metal too. Saves them 1/1000 of a penny on every sale. 😂😂😂
Because MJX designed their cars for a certain budget, and started with 16th scale trucks at $99 so they had to cut every corner, and they bought one million Philips head screws in bulk so they're not gonna change to hex screws until they use up their whole supply of Philips screws. People always get this super puzzled question like yours, and the answer is obvious: they're selling the cheapest hobby grade RCs and they have to cut every corner possible, especially since their first trucks were SO budget, they cut the corner with Philips instead of hex, and they buy in bulk to save the most $. So it comes off as really stupid when people like you ask that question about Philips screws. It's not like they can justify paying more for hexes, when they can't advertise it on the effing box. Get what you want. The infraction is brushed but you can upgrade over time. I like them both. Arrma does have a 2 year warranty on the stock parts. The MJX will be a lot faster out of the box.
@@hyperc5249 Well, I got a 14302 for Christmas and love it! Had to toe in the fronts as well.. I'm not sure why they are set so far out.
Great. It's better than any 10th scale I have. The replacement set is cheap as well. So when you finally need a new set, it's not costly to replace them.

They sell the OE wheels on AliE but their expensive
I got one of these recently. Is it normal to have lag on the throttle response. When you pull the trigger. Like from a dead stop. Or does it take right off. I don’t hear anyone mentioning this in their videos. Or do I need to adjust something?. Like recalibrate? Great video too. Very informative!!!
Yes. There is a small amount in the V1 models. The H14MK ESC seems to have different programming. The throttle response and punch are more responsive. For $150 RTR it is still amazing. The fact that it has separate hobby grade electronis make it easy to change them out. I am going to change out the 14302 RX/TX for more responsive control.
With gentle throttle, it does cog slightly. This would explain a little throttle hesitation. Relatively high kv motors and budget ESCs do this. A better ESC or even further, a sensored set up would solve it. But, for the money it's great.
Yes. Move the rear body post up a screw notch. Then, use some small washers underneath the front posts. You picked a great 1st RC car. It's one of my personal favorites.
Ok. So, remove the rear mount and cut the 2 top screw mount posts off with a pair of side cuts. This is so you can raise it up on the rear mounting by 1 set of holes. Next, get 6 washers and use 3 underneath each side on the front post mounts. This method worked perfectly on mine. Dont forget to like and subscribe.

@hyperc5249 thanks for the fast reply bro u earned my sub! 💯🏎
was there a speed test for Lance? imagine it would be more or less the same as the others but curious to know.
@naptime43x Yes, he runs in the mid 40s as well. He doesn't see pavement very often. He is a dirt dog.
@@hyperc5249 right on, that is probably what i would be doing the most.
i was looking at these and saw there is a new hatchback style, makes it even harder to decide which one is best haha
@naptime43x I have a review on that one to.
nice, i will have to watch that one.
is there really any noticeable difference in performance in the 4 models? they look about identical from what i can tell aside from maybe a couple difference accessories like battery and wheels.
@naptime43x no not really
Was wondering how you raised the body up on the rally car?
Raise the rear body post up a notch on the shock tower. Put a few washers as spacers underneath the front body post mount.
Thanks so much!!!!@@hyperc5249
Can the 14302 body fit on the 14301? Thank you!
Yes
What is the biggest/best 3s battery for the v2 truck?
Inise the iconic 3S in mine.
Hye. How to put the esc fan on v1 ? It seems no screw hole on the esc to put the esc fan . 😅
It screws into the heatsink fins. Most esc fans mount up like in this way.
@@hyperc5249 oo i see. I thought it should be a hole on the esc. Thanks for your answer 😁
@haizulzikri789 you're welcome
PLEASE PLEASE Tell me the name of the song plaing in this video. around 12 min 42s.
Thank you
I'll take a look and get back to you.
Fully agree, love them 👍🏻😃
Absolutely some of the best RCs out there. Bash, Crawl, Repeat!
Do you know if the lancia body fits on the truck chassis?
Yes with different body posts.
I want to get one of these, but a local shop in my area has the Aarma Infraction for $160. It looks identical to these but maybe the radio is better quality. Which would you choose?
Both! LOL..... That's a tough one. These are brushless with a gyro. That is a 1/10, tho. That's is too close to call. I like both MJX and Arrma. So it will come down to a scale size vs. electronics decision. Let me know what you choose. Bash, Crawl, Repeat!
@@hyperc5249 Thanks for your input. I'm getting back into the hobby and appreciate the breakdown. Way better than the stuff we had as kids. They look like a lot of fun!
Those are inspired by the Infraction models (6S, 3S)
If you can get a Arrma Infraction 3S for $160, do it. But I believe it will be the brushed Infraction 1/8 Mega model
Get what you want. The infraction is brushed but you can upgrade over time. I like them both. Arrma does have a 2 year warranty on the stock parts. The MJX will be a lot faster out of the box.
@@hyperc5249 Well, I got a 14302 for Christmas and love it! Only issues are the servo getting stuck with dirt so I have to use a screen for rally, and the diffs are way too loose for my liking so I'll have to thicken them up some. Had to toe in the fronts as well.. I'm not sure why they are set so far out.
Can you give a link to buy a new set tyres for Lancia Delta ?? Thank you

@@hyperc5249 thank you
Is the wheel base the same on the 14301, and 14302?
Yes
How do the tires hold up on these on pavement? Thanks
Great. It's better than any 10th scale I have. The replacement set is cheap as well. So when you finally need a new set, it's not costly to replace them.
These are actually the V2 and V3. V1 did not come with the gyro. I got sub zero and lance off AliE then a month later they added the gyro. Figures lol.
Wow. I didn't know that. Good info. Thanks.
@@hyperc5249 ya no problem. great video! I like how you compared all 3 side by side.
I bought 14301 the beginning of the year and liked it so much I bought the 302. With or without gyro it’s an amazing little truck.
Have you had to replace the wheels yet? They don’t last long on 3s 😂.
Finding wheels and tires that fit is tough.
@bs0u0155 💯
Those things are rippers!
Right! MJX is setting the bar very high. I hope the come out with a 10th scale soon.
The clear plastic covers are worthless tho. I just use the extra hood clips because YOU WILL lose them alot.
If you watch my 14210 video. I highly recommend the body clip retainers. I like the dust cover, but It does allow some rocks to get in.
How can you adjust the toe in and out?
The suspension links are threaded together. By turning them, you can adjust the length, which will adjust the toe in and out.
I’m new to the RC hobby and bought a 14302, how did you raise the body 1/4”? Can the stock posts used to achieve this?
Yes. Move the rear body post up a screw notch. Then, use some small washers underneath the front posts. You picked a great 1st RC car. It's one of my personal favorites.
Awesome! I’ll mod tonight! Was worried about tearing up my body, I know I’ll be ripping up the tires though 😂
glad I found this as I'm also getting this to get me started and was just about to ask, so thanks 👍
There's an option for a extra battery which is the same, would you recommend getting it?
No problem.
Is it still worth it to buy them? Love your content btw
@Subtle_Outfiting Absolutely. My 2 boys and I run these more than any of my other RCs.
is there a lancia in the V2?
Yes. I haven't seen it for sale yet.
Hey man I need help, how do I raise the body on the rally car mine sits a little funky and I need to raise it up
@@hyperc5249 woo hoo thanks for the fast response, while it’s still sitting out I need to get some washers thanks
@prob6999 No problem.... problem. Pun intended. That's why I do this. That little rig is awesome. BCR!
Great review!!
Thanks. Awesome rig. Sub and like.
Are the trucks and car the same length
Yes. They are all the same chassis. They have the same width and length wheelbase. They body is the only big difference.
@@hyperc5249 cool I kinda like the truck a little more but right now the car is cheaper so was thinking I could get the truck body down the road if they were the same. Nice video and thanks
@nickhathaway4617 Your welcome. That's why I do this. To help people make informed decisions with their hard earned money.
Where did you get the 3s battery?
Some came with the car from aliexpress. The others I purchased ff of Amazon.

@@hyperc5249I just bought the AliExpress 14301 with the 2 3s lipos from the link you gave. Do the included batteries perform speed and run time wise? Great video btw
@currynuts8843 yes. The 3S batteries I received with my 14302 are actually some.of the best 3S batteries I own.
@@hyperc5249 do you charge them using a balance charger or is it ok to usb charge, sorry for the dumb question, very new to Rc.
I just got mine, the CITROEN....
Awesome. It's definitely one of my favorite RCs.
I have owned these RC on 3S.
There uncontrollable on 3S.
I don't understand you are saying there best RC for $145.
Not to be rude, but maybe it's your driving skills. You can see that I am more than capable of ripping them on 3S. My 10 year old boys bash these around all the time with no problem. Do you have a better $145 RC suggestion?
@hyperc5249 Witoys 124016 or the 124017 put metal parts on them same price as you put those metal parts. They handle better!
That's from my experience!
And I wasn't trying to be rude
I was being honest.
Thank you for your video .
Do you have a part # for the esc fan?

@@hyperc5249 Thanks. I'm going to add one to my 1/16. It needs it on 3s
@hiramrodriguez4323 Any time bro.
Tanks brother, that was a helpful vid
You're welcome. Awesome rigs.
i have the lancia how fast is it top speed? and how did you raise body post?
Move the rear body, post up one. Notch on the rear shot tower. Put a quarter inch spacer underneath the front body post. Top speed was around forty one miles per hour.
3:50 English and... DOYTCHEE!
They need to stop with the Philip head screws. The price for putting hex head screws is next to nothing difference. Or at least they can offer a stainless hex head screw upgrade kit for 10 bucks or something. It's hard to find a hexhead 2.5 mm self tapping threads in the US. In china they are abundant. Oh well this thing is definitely worth the price with or without the hex head screws 3:35 . Best RTR mini street basher on the market. I have the n ore expensive Team Associated mini street basher and its outdated compared to the MJX Hyper Go line up. The UDI RC Pro is garbage compared to the Hyper Go.
I am a fan hex head screws.
Weltoys is the best in same price
WL toys make some good products, but they don't have anything close to as good as the 14302.
Been in limbo for the past few days about getting 1,,, this video sold me going on Amazon NOW🫡
I'm glad i could help. Great timing. They're on sale. MJX is awesome. You won't be disappointed. Bash, Crawl, Repeat!
