As always great info thank
Baby Z Too is where it’s at! That and the half shell pretty killer on my home pond. Good video discussion man! Keep it coming
No doubt it’s deadly!
Great video!
Very helpful!
Thanks Rick!
Smallie smasher- BBB. Shiver Shot- RA. Quivers-Missle. You’ve got some very good choices I use in there, too.
That Quiver is good
Awesome video
Thanks. I’ve had good luck with the MaxScent squarenose minnow.
I know this sounds crazy, but I still haven’t tried it!
Being a newer drop shot guy I went for the Zman trick shot 4 inch meat dog. But then was introduced to the dream shot green pumpkin and I felt like the action was more appropriate for my lake. I really want to experiment with a longer worm or trick worm. But this video helped tremendously. Thank you
Started with trick worms (still great) but now I primarily use the half shell and my favorite is the biospawn 4.5” plasma tail. Incredible action and my go to confidence bait.
I’ve heard good things about the plasma tail
Watching from San Diego, California. Fishing is hot out here right now. Small swimbaits are the ticket. Drop shotting 4" purple Roboworm or Senkos.
Thanks for watching Jose!
When I'm struggling even with a drop shot, I always seem to throw on a Zoom Z-drop followed very closely by a Roboworm like you stated. I just wish the Roboworms were a little more durable. Dipping the Z-drop tail in some sort of chartreuse dye has been on point for me the past few years.
Heck yea!
I have come to love the dropshot, my favorite baits are the Berkley Bottom hopper worm, the Missile baits Bomb Shot, another is the Zoom finesse trick worm, if there is current I will throw on a Manns Jelly worm, most all of my fishing is for LMB here in Va. it’s become a significant part of my arsenal for sure, thanks for the valued content man !!!
Go old school! Heck yea!
@@AndrewUpshawFishing Why change if what works still works right 😂😂
Here's one for you bubba, a good friend of mine designed & developed this awesome dropshot bait that absolutely knocks out all spotted, smallmouth and largemouth bass all year long; it is the little slugger by Don Iovino wacky rigged on a 3/16th-1/4oz teardrop to cylinder dropshot weight. Color wise pending on water clarity are lightning shad, motor oil and watermelon glitter just to name a few. He has them on his website along with Tackel Warehouse, give them a try and you will not be disappointed!!!
Puhshaw! T-rigged Strike King KVD dream shot in purple have caught me so many fish in our urban creek jungle!! Flat side up on a size 2 red EWG on 8 lb. Monofilament.
It’s really really good!
The KVD half shell is a good one bomb shot by missile and good old Barkley max sent flat worm but my go to is a Chompers drop shot worm . The price you can’t beat and this worm works great 👍
I like the bomb shot a lot!
Used to love the chompers but now we 5150 worms in the AZ out fishes them every time great bang for the buck though excellent worm!!
Thanks , I’m definitely going to have to check them out .
Yelp That MM2 Roboworm is my go to. Only difference is i spend the extra money on hooks. I use the VMC spin shots. 👊
Spinshots are what I use when fishing 4pb
Also from San Diego the 4 or 6 inch roboworm in morning dawn or margarita mutilator is absolute 🔥🔥 on our lakes here.
Can’t beat those two colors anywhere!
I fish for spots a lot here in Alabama. A zoom 4” lizard nose hooked will get bites when nothing else will. With all the legs and tail it is just a spot killer.
We have these worms in the Phoenix area called 5150 garlic baked into the plastic I've pretty much stopped using robo worms and other drop shot baits. The other great thing about these worms is they float so if a bass does shake it off just wait you'll see it go back grab it bite the head off and reuse. I also like the hazadong shad by megabass when they're feeding on small shad.
Dannnng I haven’t heard of that yet.
Never played with drop shots much but caught my first ds fish last weekend with a senko wacky rigged missed a couple other bites
Strike King KVD Half shell in KVD Magic!!
I like KVD Magic a lot!
I am definitely a subscriber I like your videos and I like to fish with Lew’s What do you think about the new Kevin Van Damme reel or how ever you spell his last name and I like to use watermelon red flake from Yum.✌🏼🎣
That new KVD reel is awesome! I’ve heard nothing but good things about it so far
@@AndrewUpshawFishing : Thank You..✌🏼🎣
Toledo on fire Andrew got to go get you some fish on every cypress tree.
Heck yea!
Bear paws custom baits(garden worms) 3 inch ( burnt toast) hook it wacky style!
Hmm interesting!
@@AndrewUpshawFishing you can buy a hundred of them for 20 bucks and there cooked in mega strike scent!
Hey kinda off topic but is that a Shiney pimple on your chin or a piece of food? It keeps side tracking me...lol Anyway Ive only fished a dropshot a couple times and havent had success on it yet I literally just started fishing it a few weeks ago and have only fished it 2 diff days so far just trying to figure it out, I live in south ms and I cant find any good drop shot lures anywhere down here so i was wacky rigging a senko. I have went to every tackle store looking for some of the baits u showed and they dont have them at DICKS, Academy, or The mom and pop stores so Im ordering some tomorrow, the thing is I have no confidence with the drop shot yet bc idk if Im fishing it right. But Ill figure it out, Im gonna be out on a couple lakes for the next few days and Im gonna take 3 hours of each day to focus on the drop shot. Thats my plan. Keep these vids coming I love learning from Pros, Im a kayak angler and Im starting to fish tournaments this year so I need all the knowledge I can store in this brain I got. lol
a discontinued net baits pb&j finesse worm..kills them on Grand...i got 5 bags.lol
Lol! I know the exact worm you’re talking about.
Robots worm or Berkley minnow top.two baits
Yep!
Excellent tips as always, swimming worm has been a lot of fun. Thanks for your tips.
Always buddy!
I’m not just saying this cause you’re a strike king guy but dream shot has caught me the most fish period!
It’s so good man
Probably something you may have never done, but I do a lot and it smashes them.
Just take a 5 to 8 inch ribbon tail worm. I typically use a 6.5’” style worm.
Keep the ribbon tail portion and cut the body down to either nose hook or Texas rig on a 1 or 2# hook.
You are probably thinking why not use a ribbon tail grub? Primary reason...the ribbon tail on a grub isn’t as long; therefore it’s tail action is not a fluent because of it’s density
Lastly, You can then reuse the upper body as a Ned rig bait
I haven’t tried that. But will now!
A floating brush hog rigged like a Tokyo rig up against dock pilings in the spawn
Short like the Tokyo rig
I have a lot of success with the Nikko hellgrammite
Haven’t tried that yet!
A tip for you; Leaning Rods in a corner isn't advisable per Good Mfc's!
I haven't watched yet. I'm still at the beginning but I hope u included robot worms. They are a staple
Oh I absolutely did
I meant robo worms lol. Stupid auto correct. Great video bud. Keep it up.
DD22 3’ up w/ 1 ounce tungsten 2 glass beads
Interesting
My favorite drop shot lures is a fatty worm
Megabass hazedong Shad and robo worm.
I haven’t tried the Hazedog yet
When the bait you are trying to mimic is small it’s a great little imitator. Small nose hook and it gets bit! Drop it snd shake it, cast it a close your bail immediately so it has a natural swimming action coming back towards you or drag back slowly. So many options
Morning dawn roboworm
Old standbys
I havent watched yet either...let me guess tho......dream shot, half shell...baby ocho...z too.ummm maybe something else strike king
A few of those. And a Roboworm🤷♂️
@@AndrewUpshawFishing i was just messin around anyways....i like all of those baits too
Lol it’s all good. But yea. I really use all of those and a Robo. I think we all over complicate baits on a drop shot
Zoom Z Drop Worm
That’s a good one!
Zman trick shotz
Heard good things about it!
@@AndrewUpshawFishing they float really well and are durable which saves me money because I don’t have to buy as many.
No intro music 🤷
Just making it simple.
Are the way to use for a new fishing river is a German cuz you can return when you when they come up and get it when they come up and snap when they come up they were put they will look at it and your girlfriend
Never played with drop shots much but caught my first ds fish last weekend with a senko wacky rigged missed a couple other bites
It’s a good way to catch em
