Just watching the video I don’t know, I think it’ll be around, there isn’t much of a difference in parts from an scx10 ii and that’s not going anywhere. I think the scx24 is more likely to see a short life, even though it’s really cool
@@mikes062 idk man it seems like a pretty hot item at my hobby shop. It's a great entry level rig for people curious about the hobby. Guys already in the game night not be that much into it.

Great video as always sir. I picked one up at rc madness last weekend for the kiddo. Shes gonna love it. No Christmas is complete without a rc under the tree!!
lol This reminds me of an office I used to work in. The IT team was in the basement and had a bunch of old PCs stacked in a corner and a RC crawler they would use to crawl over them. They had some RC drift cars they would take out at lunch too. The rest of the time they would literally play Starcraft on the company network all day. Pretty much the breakdown of an average day was 80% Starcraft, 15% RC cars and 5% helping old people work their computers.
There's room for everyone in the crawling hobby, including boys and girls who don't care to blow their life savings on the fastest, latest, coolest, biggest, etc. Great job remembering to lightly explain basic things newbies might not be familiar with, without talking down to anyone or treating this truck like a temporary entry level step to something more expensive.
Thanks for the idea about trimming the wheel wells and tucking in the wires from the lights. I adjusted the steering trim a bit, but I like your more long-term solution.
Just purchased the white one last night ($134 + tax). I know your video was from over 3 years ago...some "in the box" have changed: my Tx [has lights, sliders & buttons, no dials, (HRZ00014)] is very different from what you have. my "2-n-1 ESC/Rx 2S LiPo BEC 6V/1A" ESC (HRZ00015) has a blue sticker w/ch names. Motor (M+/M-) & batt (+/-). Same size w/a ferrite core on it. Batt same model#, different sticker, it is 3C charge rate now. Charger model# DYNC1063 and looks different. same motor. Same servo. I velcro all clipped bodies if I can. SCX24 Jeep ESC touches the hood just slightly enough to put a sliver of velcro on ESC, so I did.
Best part of this video is when you said. "It comes with this little body clip, dont know where i put it" lmao!! Yep.. another body clip lost. I swear they get up and run away when you aren't looking. Like toy story!
Tires seem disproportionally huge heh. I'd like to see a touch more articulation and some proper damping. But for $120, from a company with a name, I can't complain
agreed - do you know of anything this size with proper damping and more articulation? I heard you can put grease inside these fake shocks and it helps.
I got one of these a few months ago at my local hobby shop, and it worked for about three days before something happened with the transmitter, thank god it had a two year warranty because after some hassle I got a refund. Other than that the car is excellent definitely would recommend!

It's interesting that the battery is to be charged at 1C (350 mah), but the charger is an 800 mah charger. I watch mine CLOSELY when charging and constantly unplug it to check it's voltage. Is there an available charge adapter for the power lead connector?
@@drewc7389 there is but I haven't found it myself. I use a old servo exstentoin wire to connect it to my Hi-Tech x1 ac plus charger.
