I bought the C10 last week. I had so much fun with it that I bought my woman this deadbolt in red. The dead bolt is way more rock crawler than the C10. It kills it right out of the box with no mods. The C10 definitely acts like a pickup truck compared to the dead bolt. Both are amazing trucks but with different attitudes.
Just bought the red deadbolt for $93 & love it. I bought a 1/24 ecx barrage about 4 years ago & what a TURD that truck was! This truck is everything a 1/24 crawler should be. 😎
I got one and love it, once you figure out how to drive it without tipping it's game on. I am shocked on how capable this thing is and I have ran probably 20 packs through it the past couple days with no problems at all. If they make the other scx10ii in scx24 size I will but them all. Haven't touched my 10th scale's since I got this little beast. I also like the dogbones instead of cvds on the front, for a rig this light and small dogbones are perfect because they don't bind up on extreme turning angles like the cvds do.
triangleswinger RC I really look forward to getting one (or two lol) of these little things. And I can see them doing other options for this maybe a tiny unimog would be cool 👍🏻
What makes me most excited about these, is the amount of highly detailed 1/24 scale model hardbodies from models we can use. Can you imagine the possibilities....
Brandon Perrenoud my ecs went for a s**t and I got a after market one off of eBay and it works fine now, I also got a mini drone lipo for the truck and it lasts 2 hours on a full charge!
Scx24 rock loving mine! Only real issue with them is the front drive line rubs the upper y link and slowly cuts it and the included usb charger sucks the micro USB side breaks very easy! Otherwise truck iself is a awesome little truck! The Weird servo size and front shock mounts being part of the electronics tray kinda suck though! 😄
Thanks! Always seeing this in videos I was curious if you could add lights like the bigger version. I reckon they added the bumper lights because of people wanting to put lights anyway. The SCX 10 & 10 II is a little big for inside fun, looking forward to getting one of these.
These look pretty good, Awesome in-depth overlook at the rig n whats involved in it. Running video looks like a good time, cool cool Greg thanks for sharing
Adding a bit of weight with some steel or aluminum beadlocks makes this thing a lot more stable, It can climb, sidehill and descend with much more control. This thing really responds to mods well. Soon I'll be putting out some files for 3D printing new lowered body mounts and a front battery tray (low CG). I have a "build" thread on RCCrawler if anyone is interested www.rccrawler.com/forum/micro-scale-rigs/609167-whittling-scx24.html
Lovin my micro deadbolt. Thanks for the review. I’m trying to find out what the connector is on the lead coming from the battery, that plugs into the receiver. Have some extra xt30 2s batteries that I’d like to make an adaptor for.
It’s much better. I do love my 1/24 Barrage but the Axial beats it. BTW, if you want to add MUCH more torque to your Barrage for $40, get the RC4WD R5 V2 mini transmission then on Shapeways look for GamyRC. He sells 3D printed mounts to use that trans on it ($10).
Looks good handles reasonably considering it runs friction shocks, and the body wobbles about like the 1/8th three wheeler driver's head so shocks would be my first go for upgrade, I am sure Bangood or one of those will have some fluid shock's to fit.
getting screws in today to finish building my scx10 2 kit i got off FB marketplace. in 2 weeks i get my hard body cherokee from china. cant wait to crawl while i hike. l
I had two questions if anyone could help answer. First: Can you remove the driver? Second: How much room is there for a larger battery and is that battery a proprietary design?
They need to get the electronics and batteries to 1/10 scale quality. Unfortunately till they do people like me after getting burned from the 1/24 barrage are not go to attempt another $100.00 shelf model.
Not the same electronics lol, this motor and servo are way more powerful than the barrage and the ESC is better than the one in my scx10ii I'm, has three spots for extra lights and shit and amazing range. This is not a ecx barrage it's a new design by axial a different company lol just because horizon owns both doesn't make them the same company, they didn't use one part from the 1/24 barrage.

for real man this is why i chose deadbolt as my first scx24 haha

How do I look up other body options??
Always nice to see another decent micro, my Trail Trekker is still one of my favorites.
I must say your unboxing videos are the best. I'm looking forward to owning one 😉
That's a really cute little truck but I'd have a hard time paying $110 for it, great video, love seeing the little guy in action.
Wow, the little SCX24 did very well on the rocks.
Mines ordered! Can’t wait to pick it up from my LHS!
Joshua Gregg Awesome let us know what you think once you get it. 😎
It’s my birthday today! I have a Ecx barrage 1/24 and I think it might get a brother soon...
peter Rc basher. Does your ECX Barrage still run? Because both of the ones I bought died!!!

STEVO D 313 Had fun with this one. Wasn’t sure how it was going to run, bit had a great time just wheeling it on the rocks in my backyard.
A coin on top of the servo gives a subtle wight gain. I also made my own metal grill

humboldtef where can I get those beadlocks?
@@MRiLLmatic619 from RC4WD, I'm using the stamped steel ones which are out of stock at the moment store.rc4wd.com/10-Wheels_c_600.html

Great Review!! Good Little Crawler!!
twrecks116 Thank you! This video was a lot of fun to create

I don't know what they're called but my lch has them, check a hobby shop if it's a good one they should have any type of connector you need.
triangleswinger RC JST PH 2.0
If you remove the reverse plug all together ital have a drag break just like a 1/10th scale
Can you plug it in to a traxxas charger with the balance plug
How long does this run?
Wow that’s a nice price! I might get into rock crawling but I have to calm down for a little while because I just bought a traxxas slash 4x4
Inboxtera Pie It’s a pretty good deal. Certainly worth adding to your RC want list.
I drilled out the fake leds and rplaced them with real ones.Just two paralelle copper wires soldered on each corresponding leg, then a resistor
How’s the run time?
How do you do the brake setup thing at 5 mins? Where do you move the connector?
is waterproof?
does it have locked differentials?
Is the esc has li-po low voltage cut off feature?
I’m just waiting for a Jeep gladiator
Dan Gavin RC Now that would be cool!
RCDriver_Online amen bro, amen
Or a comanchy
Same😅
Does it work better than the ecx barrage 1/24? Love my barrage wish it had a little more powerful motor to crawl. Thanks
Yellow Creek Crawler Rc I have the Barrage UV FPV, the SCX24 performs much better. More power.
@@rcdriver Thanks for the info.

Can the stock battery be removed for interchangeable batteries?
definitely buying one just for those axles and trans.. Put those on a comp style chassis with 4 w steering ..
What’s the run time?
hi guys! want to by to my 5 y.o. son! is it posible to change stock bat to more powerfull for more runtime?
Run time?
Looks like alot of fun
Question how long does it take to charge with the included charger?
You are the doug demero of rc
I saw this on Horizon Hobby do you have to upgrade it with stuff on there or is all the stuff you got stock
This is all stock
I’m thinking of getting one but I might just add softer tires..great review
rok lox micro tires are super!
I could use one ok maybe 2😉
Nice video 👍🏻
I think for a winter inside truck it will be epic... Madness has the mini indoor course, but this might be to big for it...
Matthew Jorgensen Part of the action was on the big indoor course at Madness. Didn’t get to try the mini course by the pits.
Nice small scale toys!
How do I tune the brake and reverse ?.
Man I really want a Axial Scx24 Deadbolt since I have a Axial Scx10II Deadbolt it would really go well.
Maximum Rc Overload Yup! That would make a great combo 😀
Best 100$ I've spent in this hobby, it's so much fun to drive.
Buy it yesterday. Endless hours of fun and impresses.
Hi. Cool video and cool rigs :) one question... the drag brake is good or...?
It has a Wurm Gear so Yeah ist has one
Is it waterproof
I was looking for the green version. They only have them in red here.
I found one in stock. It's on the axial racing website.

I didn't think about bangood, I know they have a bunch of tiny RC stuff from China I'm sure we could find some shocks.
The tool needed is an Imperial .050
humboldtef Thanks for pointing that out! I went through every metric tool I had but never checked my SAE sets. The .050 works perfectly.
Ew version jeeps are out... I love it believe it’s on the same frame as that one.
10:25 incredible climb

Dirty Bauer Sounds like an awesome build!
whats the top speed
Sweet little guy personally I would have been fine with a plastic chassis and better shocks
These shocks work great for the size and weight of the rig
What’s the run time on this little guy? Great video by the way brother💯🔥
I get a little over an hour run time and a little over an hour to charge, actually really impressive for an RTR battery.
I had two questions if anyone could help answer.
First: Can you remove the driver?
Second: How much room is there for a larger battery and is that battery a proprietary design?
First: Probably not
Second: Yes
@@BigBen1991 Better late than never! I bought the wrangler version a couple months ago, it's been a life saver during this quarantine.

Omg it's so cute
Worm gear = permanent drag brake.
Brandon Whipp Not too bad on this rig. There’s some roll before the drag.
Yah??????? Exactly what you want on a crawler 🤦♂️🤦♂️
I also have one!!!!!
Just made my first little edit with my scx24 ...feel free to check it out, more to come!
It looks like it sits to the side a little
