This is real music, Jeff is a normal guy and he probably doesn't know how good he really is, never big headed , he's never changed his accent in interviews, no fancy clothes on stage nothing just simple music brilliance, every single person is playing for real always. Plus 5 decades the test of time proves that. Really on a different level. Plus he comes from my part of the world. Top band and wrote songs that will be still played a hundred years from now because they are brilliant. Simple as that........
No, he’s not a «normal» guy. He’s way off any norm, having created music enjoyed by the millions, to be heard, to be sung. For decades, for milleniums. Normal guys don’t do that; geniuses do.
I'm guessing he has an idea how good he is...he hears other people, and then himself. He also has a net worth of $100M as a singer. He's great no doubt but he is well aware. If he didn't know, he would be clueless, and he's definitely not clueless.

Jeff Lynne has always been able to blend classical instruments and arrangements with amazing rock arrangements. I think his most incredible ability has been to select and surround himself with amazing musicians. I'm 66 years old and I don't change my preference that kind of music.
What a shame , I noticed it too, none of us are spring chickens anymore I noticed the pianist helping/ offering a hand when walking off stage the poor fellas old himself
Unsteady on his feet, sure, happens to the best of us…but his voice still sounds fantastic. This is live not lip synced, (it’s easy to tell) and that is wonderful to hear.
Man I knew ELO was a great band but...holy sh***T ..they have SO many great songs! Rosie just shreds that violin! Thanks for all your great music and performing it all again live!
Jeff Lynne is just a master of musical arrangement. ELO a highly underrated band with a distinctive sound.
There’s that word again lol. With respect, ELO and Jeff are not underrated. Not at all. Superstars of the highest order. Not only still on tour, but Jeff has produced some of the most important artists ever (including Beatles, Dylan, Petty, etc), his music has been in films, is name checked by so many and is also in the Rock HOF. Def not underrated
Hell yeah he is!
I also love Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys!
We are so blessed to have had such an amazing time of artistic songs!
Hardly fucking underrated 😂
He produced a Beatles album for Gods sake😂🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
@@paulgabolinscy2502 can you read? My underrated comment was about ELO not Jeff.
John Lennon said that had The Beatles of stayed together they would of sounded like ELO.
Oh my god..,.has anyone ever heard of a better group, or singer than Jeff Lynne
Don't think so l👍
The violinist is Rosie Langley a very talented lady.
Rosie Langley was fantastic!!!
She plays so well Rosie does.very passionate.and she enjoys what she is doing.

Muchos latinos nos gusta la música de este conjunto liderado por un gran maestro de la música como en Jeff Lynne su estilo lo hace único solo comparado con los chicos de Liverpool ya es un clásico desde Chile saludos a sus seguidores 😎
'A New World Record' is a top-ten album of the 70s, and that's some pretty good company.
The song is already great as it is, the violin is the cherry on top. She plays beautiful, very well done.
I'll be 72 in 2 months and I still love this music! ELO is a classic!
The mid 70's were my high school years.I loved ELO then and I love them now!! I listen to them all the time!
Rosie you or awesome!! Jeff and ELO what a GREAT Band...thanks for bringing me back to the 70's A great time to come up..
Langley has 2 other sisters who are musically gifted. This piece can easily fit into today's genre. It hasn't aged at all.
That violin playing is soooooo wonderful.
Immense wonderful
It's a Livin Legend singing this song !!... long live Jeff Lynne !!!!
Can't take my eyes off of that violin player, beautiful and talented lady.
She’s Rosie Langley on violin, one of two , her sister plays Chello
Did you also notice when she stopped playing the violin kept playing
@@timjewell5117 Yep
@@timjewell5117 , you do know that there's other violinists playing as well, right?
@@timjewell5117 there´s a orchestra backtrack playing alongside with the band to give more punch. ELO did that since 77.
The little lady is doing magnificent with the violin 🎻 🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎸🎸🎸🎺🎷🎹🎹🥁🥁
Best live version of Living Thing with the best violin intro by the most enchanting woman ever to play one
Agree 100%
Her hand and body movements are wonderful
What is the Violinist name? She's amazing!
@@pspls3285 Her name is Rosie Langley....apparently well known in the UK.
She's part of a siblings group The Langley Sisters,..yes, she has two other talented sisters Amy and Gita....and all three of them are gorgeous 😘
shahrul1962 She melts me!
EVERY MAN IS THERE TO SEE ROSIE.
Один из величайших музыкантов, слушая которого, можно вернуться в лучшие моменты своей жизни.. Джеффри, ты моя любовь навсегда!
Listening to Jeff and ELO helped me out of my deep depression, there is something about Jeff's voice that lifted me up to carry on.

Stay Strong & Live Life My Brother!! The Best Is Truly Yet to Come!!!
Agreed 1000%. There is something about his music that resonates and lifts you up. Perfect music for the days that we are currently in. Peace my brother.

there's nothing better!
Sid, this music can bring lots of us out of our lonely hearts right now. Please keep listening and hoping and praying, and we will all get to the other side of this mess. 🎵❤️🤗
Fell in love with a girl while we listened to this. She had a boyfriend at the time. I just hung in shadows, patiently waiting and here we are, married for almost 40 years. Found out that she had the same electricity running through her as we stood and talked that evening. God loves everyone, but he really does like me.
You're a lucky guy.
You can tell, beyond a shadow of a doubt...Rosie is so passionate about her violin skills!
Violin hit that first note and I had to catch my breath.
Jeff's a great guy. He never let fame go to his head. A real "down to Earth" person!
Very talented and humble ❤
I just closed my eyes and was back in the 70s having Woodpecker cider and cheese and pineapple on a stick. It has been said it was 'the decade that style forgot'. That certainly doesn't apply to the music.
70 s music hard to beat
Magistral!! Y el violín, genial...la chica que lo toca es maravillosa, hermosa!!
Wow, listen to the way the violinist BENDS the lowest note at 00:10 - pure class...
Gives me the F'n chills! She is amazing!!
