I’m a man in my late twenties and I agree. Whatever good the Beatles did for pop and rock music, Jeff picked up that torch and made some truly great art of his own. Infused with tradition, innovation, passion, and integrity. The brilliance of the ELO vision and what Jeff Lynne has accomplished, it can’t be overstated. There’s still great art being made in this modern world, but you have to look harder. Those who do seek to find, make, or understand great art, I’m glad Jeff is still around to educate and entertain those masses with his artistic vision. It’s important to celebrate him and others while they’re still here, because one day they won’t be, and the road will be paved for someone else to have a similar (but different) impact of their own.

Perhaps if the Beatles had the myriad of back up musicians & vocalists (assuming they all had survived & performed live in their later years), it would have approached Mr. Lynne's production.

Jeff is much better than a 5th Beatle. It took 4 Beatles and George Martin to accomplish what Jeff Lynne has done musically all by himself. Of course, by popularity, commercially and as a brand The Beatles are no 1 but musically Jeff Lynne rules. I am a huge Beatles fan but Jeff Lynne is better with Harmonies, Orchestration, as an incredible Producer, singer and songwriter. As a classical musician, the more i dig in Jeff Lynne's huge catalog of songs, the more you appreciate his incredible talent and great versatility. Long live Jeff Lynne's ELO!!! My favorite ELO song. Saw them in Nashville in 2019, and when they started Turn to Stone, I don't think I ever yelled 'yeah!' so hard in my life. I was never one for singing around family, friends, or strangers, but that night I sang every song, I didn't care how I sounded, I just sang my heart out. I would see them again in a heart beat.
It really sucks when you're at a concert and some idiot right beside you is singing at the top of their lungs. I don't pay good money to go to a concert to hear some idiot I want to hear the band
@@joehall5921 If there weren't people around me singing I probably wouldn't have, but everyone I looked at was so happy and singing along I just felt inclined to. It was also my first concert so I was already a bit nervous about singing and possibly disturbing the people around me, but they were all singing so I joined in.

I do not remember when was the last time I have had the flu and never got Flu jab either; it is useless as COVID vaccine; either one do not protect you at all. Read and inform yourself out of the government guidance. Listen to doctors not politicians or public servants. I inform myself and take care of myself as everyone should do.

I know everyone talks about Jeff Lynne, but I've got to say Lee Pomeroy looks so happy up there playing bass with Jeff and the rest of his band members. He's got to be a real pleasure to work with.

I saw ELO in Houston Texas 30 years ago one of the greatest shows I've ever seen I'll never forget it I love seeing them still performing look at Joy on people's faces

At Madison Square Garden in New York in the late 1970s, all 20,000 people at one point were on their feet roaring in unison "ELO! ELO! ELO!" I've never seen a concert crowd so engaged and entertained in my life. Jeff Lynne and ELO totally rocked the Garden that night.
40 years later a lot of the same people were probably at MSG to see Jeff Lynne’s ELO, some with their kids.

Jeff hired the genius music director Mike Stevens who pulled in some of the best musicians in the business that he was used to working with. Then he tirelessly rehearsed them to the point where they stack up very favorably with the greatest live bands ever. The players are studio session musician quality; tight, creative, flawless.
