The proof that this is an incredible phone is the high rate of reviews trending over the internet. Every post talks about the note 9 in the tech world now and that S-pen just seals it. I'm not surprised you're switching because who wouldn't want to be associated with excellence. Kudos to Samsung because they went all out.
It's almost bizarre that they're still called phones. Life assistant might be more fitting. The traditional phone features certainly aren't the primary focus anymore.
I went with the Note 9 over the S10 for my upgrade for multiple reasons. Note's have shown in the past that they can last a long time through updates, iterations, etc. This being the most powerful Note 9 makes me fee like I am not going to need to worry about upgrading my phone in quite sometime. (I was using an S7 Edge) The S10 is going to introducing some new technologies, but in the past when Samsung has done that, usually the introduction has not been the greatest. I would rather let the S10 go on by while they hone the new features on it for a future iteration and choose the Note 9 which is a beast. I did not have an issue with the fingerprint scanner, in fact I changed mine to show me settings when I swipe down on it.
I honestly want to get a note 9 over an s10 just for sketching. Drawing is a big hobby for me, so it would be awesome to be able to draw good looking stuff where ever I am.

I paid for one, but waiting for delivery. I bought it against people recommending the entry version and with the SD card. HOWEVER, with 8 GB of RAM and the slow access (read and write) of SD cards, I am sure I won't be disappointed. Often value comes at the higher price, without add-ons or make do's.
My Note 9 arrived and I have spent the past five days searching for and adjust settings. It comes with some kool software. What I am liking about this machine and Samsung software, is the easy of connectivity between apps, the cloud and a lot of the software. It is more awesome then the first six months of my Gone-to-Garbage Nexus 5x.

As someone who decided to try out my first android phone, I must say this is awesome and I've been missing out on a whole new world. I've owned and iPhone 1, 3, 5, 6 plus, and a 8 plus. My first android phone is the note 9. The pros: ability to use the full amount of the screen instead of having to put "fake bezels" like the iPhone 10s or 10s max does. It's a much cleaner look. Headphone Jack - I'll never give this up. Fingerprint reader and USB c is also a huge plus. I can buy third party cables now!
Chris no. Their charging technology is simply not that good. Their fast charger is only equivalent to quick charge 2.0 (which is decent, as it's successor doesn't actually increase wattage. Just efficiency improvements) but still, when you're spending $1000 you'd expect your phone to be great at everything, not decent. Though this is still better than apple, not providing fast charger even for a $1000 smartphone
@@kenny-zc9ti increasing the wattage can damage the battery. If they're able to keep the charge times the same while increasing the capacity and keeping the wattage the same, that's an amazing improvement in my opinion.

For my own part I think this sequencing works where the caveats are given earlier & set my expectations at a realistic level, and then i see the enhancements that reassure and impress me with their solid & practical functionality.

The camera in the middle not being centered is because of the optical image stabilization the camera is technically free floating. When I got my note 8 I saw this too. But if you turn your phone around and tilt it slowly (while in the camera app) you'll see the camera itself not the picture it's showing, will try to stay as still as possible while the phone is moving slightly. It's actually pretty cool but I guess it's an opinion. Doesn't bother me. And I hope everyone is having a great day.😁

I think it's kinda funny how so many ppl like the Note 9 but the Note 8, which is basically the same phone, got kinda looked over. I was a day one Note 8 buyer, and after seeing reviews of the Note 9, and seeing much of an incremental upgrade it is, I think I will roll w my 8 thru this generation and get the Note 10 now that it's been confirmed.
Most 6 month iterations are small differences. You could easily get away with 2 years tbh. Or five, if you're not hell bent on the latest cameras or games etc
I have the s9 and I absolutely LOVE the fingerprint gesture, the one where I can pull down the top menu by sliding down is soooooo nice, just helps access notifications when I have such a big phone with so much screen, I was confused when I heard him say it was useless, I guess it's just his opinion tho
My 3 phone companies i would consider: Samsung Hauweii Oneplus They are reliable, good looking (except the notches), good camera's, and they're just soooo fast

I've actually calmed down a lot when you said that main camera is slightly off-centered because I have absolutely the same thing on my Note 9 and was concerned that this is a defective unit. This is not acceptable in a 1000$ phone, so I'm glad Samsung didn't do this on Note 10 :)

Very often I look at a phone which doesn't have everything I like in a phone, a phone that has features that make me think "Who the fuck wanted this!?" and almost always I see reviews that confirm my assumptions: Nobody! Nobody wants these features! However your review is surprisingly negative of a lot of the things which I like about this phone so I'm surprised! You're the first person I've seen to complain about the fingerprint reader being beneath the row of cameras for example. Most people MUCH prefer it to the note 8 position that was hard to reach and increased the likelihood of accidentally touching/smudging the camera glass. I won't list everything but I'm just surprised to see this man
Funny two weeks ago you did recommend skipping the Note9 as the improvements were unnoticeable at best. Based on your "recommendations" and the fantastic price on the Note8 I opted to go with a brand new Note8. For the most part I'm happy with my choice.

I am still using my Samsung Note 3 nearly 5 years old and still going strong. I am looking to replace because it's showing it's age in many ways. Note 9, Huwai mate Pro 20 or maybe Pocophone f1 yes but you save a lot of money. They are all good . All very tempting. Great video thanks.

The Notes have always been my indispensable work partner, and the s-pen is my constant companion. I just sold my Note 8 and have the Note 9 on pre-order. Being able to sign documents on the go is fabulous and necessary for me.

That's correct. If you open the camera app while looking at the camera you will see both cameras move about and centralise. Pretty cool!

Have a look at you camera (rear) and then turn it on , the ois kicks in and shifts the camera
The camera in the middle not being centered is because of the optical image stabilization the camera is technically free floating. When I got my note 8 I saw this too. But if you turn your phone around and tilt it slowly (while in the camera app) you'll see the camera itself not the picture it's showing, will try to stay as still as possible while the phone is moving slightly. It's actually pretty cool but I guess it's an opinion.

I think it's kinda funny how so many ppl like the Note 9 but the Note 8, which is basically the same phone, got kinda looked over. I was a day one Note 8 buyer, and after seeing reviews of the Note 9, and seeing much of an incremental upgrade it is, I think I will roll w my 8 thru this generation and get the Note 10 now that it's been confirmed.
Most 6 month iterations are small differences. You could easily get away with 2 years tbh. Or five, if you're not hell bent on the latest cameras or games etc
I have the s9 and I absolutely LOVE the fingerprint gesture, the one where I can pull down the top menu by sliding down is soooooo nice, just helps access notifications when I have such a big phone with so much screen, I was confused when I heard him say it was useless, I guess it's just his opinion tho

I've actually calmed down a lot when you said that main camera is slightly off-centered because I have absolutely the same thing on my Note 9 and was concerned that this is a defective unit.
This is not acceptable in a 1000$ phone, so I'm glad Samsung didn't do this on Note 10 :)

Very often I look at a phone which doesn't have everything I like in a phone, a phone that has features that make me think "Who the fuck wanted this!?" and almost always I see reviews that confirm my assumptions: Nobody! Nobody wants these features! However your review is surprisingly negative of a lot of the things which I like about this phone so I'm surprised! You're the first person I've seen to complain about the fingerprint reader being beneath the row of cameras for example. Most people MUCH prefer it to the note 8 position that was hard to reach and increased the likelihood of accidentally touching/smudging the camera glass. I won't list everything but I'm just surprised to see this man
