@@taigaramsey8061 its a soldering mat i have found out. They are magnetic too. and i want one. Some come with a wrist grounders. Not expensive either on amazon. U can get a heat mat too...those are a little more expensive...tho if i did phones alot, i def get one.

If you know its just the glass , sometimes there is local places that they can do it for you. Ofcourse just make sure they are charging just for the glass and not the actually amoled or lcd screen

The difference is about $100 from the repair side so... that cost is transferred to the customer if you always replace the lcd digitizer when it's only the front glass that needs replaced.

Cool video. But for those watching thinking if trying thos at home diy yiu do not have to take apart the entire phone just to replace the fro let putter glass. Its not the LCD screen therefore you do not have to go through all this work
You know this process isn't hard, he fixes phones for a living, its just a very timely process, if you have all the tools or better tools than he has in the video, you can easily do it but because of the labour, no shop would actually do this, its very cheap though!

It does seem like a lot of steps, but there is also a way to replace the front glass without opening your phone at all.

From s8 up u can use heat for separate between glass and oled but s7 edge u should use freezings machines

Using dry ice is the better way to go. Watch some of the videos where they freeze the screen off instead.

Wow that is some boss skills, might be easier just to change the entire digitizer. Alot of things can go wrong removing the glass from the digitizer.
