I have the exact same (first 2) water brushes. [One is the Pentel Mini.] They both have a bit of water control & glide evenly unlike so many others. I no longer buy any other brand. I really like them. One is always in my urban sketch kit with a few regular travel brushes. I also use one in bed to paint something when I can’t sleep. 😊
Thank you
Very good demonstration, thank you
Thank you. I appreciate no background music too.
Super helpful! Pentel looks best out of the waterbrushes.
That Peerless book you put together is so cool!
Thank you for a wonderful video. I'm new to watercolor and not an artist so just mess around with small journal wc books. I like the compact brush idea. I love the paint sheet set up. Very clever.
very true, bought several water brushes and it's so hard to control even though it's nice. and to fill them you have to pipette them in or find a watersource. it's meant to be convenient but in the end i ended up buying travel brushes 😂 it's easier to put water in a cup than a tiny brush. but water brushes bcs they're just plastic you can be rougher with them and toss them everywhere. thank you for the very thorough review!!
I love your idea of putting the brush number on the cap of the travel brush! Btw the caran d’ache water brushes will work with the plunger depressed after filling; that’s what I do when I am putting it in a pouch for travel so it doesn’t accidentally get depressed in my bag. Plus it makes the brush shorter
I love the “air” quotes don’t “apologize” “hehehee”
I used to have a pentallic journal with all my watercolor swatches but I haven’t been able to find it for years. I think I need to get myself another journal and swatch all my paints
I've been having trouble finding them as well. I think Blick may have some the last time I checked. I got mine on Zulily a while ago and as I'm using them up, I'm going to be searching for more.
Mystery Arts and Crafts I have so much watercolor paper in full sheets, I should cut them to size and make my own. Ooh then I could put them in my chic sparrow and have a swatch journal with different media!
@@PickwickTurtle Sounds like a good idea!
Many thanks for making this video, it was incredibly helpful! ❤️ It's kinda strange to me though that none of the better brands seems to make the waterbrushes. Do you know if there's some reason for that? It seems almost strange that in 21st century one couldn't have a superior quality with excellent portability at the same time.
I think water brushes are viewed as inferior and not “Artist grade”. That’s why I think better brands don’t make them. It would be nice to see a higher end water brush. Caran d’ache comes close I think. They have a set with some innovative tips.
