Couple things, Installed backwards. Also when adjusting the valve tighter/harder the more boost pressure your vehicle should have to dump off. Example Forge BOV recommends 17 clicks clockwise for 7-11 lbs of boost (stock is 8-10) If you are tuned to 18lbs (stage 2) Turn it 26 click forward. The more boost/power you make the better and bigger the valve should be because you dont want to be releasing 25+ psi from a little bov. Also if you hear a flutter thats actually your bov leaking indicating youve installed it wrong. It should make a solid swoosh noise. The flutter comes from a turbo filter which stock 1.8t dont come with.
The purpose of a blow off valve is to dump all the boost pressure when letting off the throttle but those are installed on the charge pipe after the compressor. This is installed before the compressor so it doesn't actually do anything.
Apparently nobody knows how to put a spring driven diverter valve in the bottom is supposed to be connected to the charge pipe to release the excess boost back to the turbo inlet so you don't as much boost drop off during gear changes
How long did the turbo last with this blow off valve? They are re-circ for a reason, mines was vented to atmosphere and didnt get 3000rpm before the eml was on and turbo blew on me, costing me a small fortune
Should the bit u put in the down facing pipe be installed in the pipe to the left hand side then ? Is there a video anywere showing the correct way to install this piece? Thanks.

i have one of these. the top 2 outlet are connected inside the valve = unfiltered air will be sucked by the turbo when off boost. fitted the wrong way round like in this video means boost is immediately vented so you won't even have boost...
hello i have a car that probably doesnt have a recirculation valve (a 1991 peugeot 1.7 turbodiesel) how to install one on that? it also doesnt have a brake booster so no vacuumpump
Can confirm this has been installed back to front! You want the bottom of the BOV feeding from the turbo boost pipe (left) not the intake pipe like you have done. Pains me to see "how to" videos that misinform people!

Hello. Is is possible to install it on a vw golf 1.9tdi? If it is, where is the place? And do I need to do anything about MAF? I heard that it makes MAF sensor give some errors on fuel readings.
i fitted one of these on my 1.8t vw saloon i can hear it working but when i drive the car all the power has gone i have to rev the crap out of the car to get it moving pretty sure i have fitted it correctly will be putting the standard diverter valve back on so its runs properly
Thats a bit of a "How long is a piece of string type question" question. What engine do you have? Where are you located? Are there any issues with the car? WIll you supply the part or the garage? etc......
Michael Kennedy no bc the ecu and maf is already programmed for the air to recirculate from the factory. Vw dont put bov. they use recirculation valve which sends the old psi back into the turbo inlet pipe.
Ive got a gt tdi pd150 and i wouldn't recommend fitting a blow of valve on any diesel car. With a diesel engine you want as much air as possible going through your boost pipes and back to your EGR so blowing it off will result in a loss of power.
Hope you know that those type of valves doesnt work correctly with an automatic turbo load controller, and the airmass sensor isnt getting the correct information about air/fuel ratio when the air is going out in the atmosphere instead of back into the air intake.
@@HVRKK The result is that the engine is not getting the air that was metered by the airmass sensor, so the engine will run rich for a moment, the correct way of doing this would be to plumb the air that was blown off back into the turbo, the trade off is that you loose the "PSHHHHH" sound.
I got the same one as this yesterday, however the piston catches on the o-ring on the inside of the dump valve. You can push it in by hand with some force but you can hear it click, its not smooth like my baileys bov. Any fix for this? It doesn't work either...
Putting some grease on the piston helps a bit for a while but eventually the piston will stick again.I also get the feeling that it opens as you build more boost so its leaking.I've had the same bov but i putit away for now and installed a hks. This one sounds amazing though if it works..
The engines are expecting the recirculating air to run properly so at idle it set bad your idle will play and after boosting and releasing gas u might fal into motor safety the set it to recirculate not to blowoff
Hey BMAC i bought the same valve from ebay its fitted nice and snug but i seem to be losing pressure through the gear before i let off the throttle =( any tips or ideas on calibration or something i might have missed ?
Alot of comments saying he fitted it the wrong way round you may want to try changing the 2 larger holes around. Flutter is air going back into the turbo which will harm your turbo in the long run.
