Thank you so much for this video. I've always wanted to give cables a try but was too intimidated, with your tutorial it has motivated me and boosted my confidence. Great job.
I have watched many videos on cables and not got it. I now have the concept thank u. Great teacher.
Love this tutorial! You are so easy to follow. . Im still a beginner and it takes me a while to understand a pattern but you made it so easy to understand! Thank you!
thank you so much, this was a lot easier to follow than some on here. Making a throw.
What an excellent tutor you are!❤️
YES!!! I have had so much trouble understanding how to do cables from a written pattern. This was so helpful, thank you! I can move forward with confidence...and a bigger hook!
P.S. I also raise my work as I crochet 🤷♀️
Thank you! Your tutorial was the most easy to follow along!❤ I'm modifying it a tiny bit to make a muffler with this pattern ❤
Agni Vancruz wonderful!
It's beautiful. Using a stitch marker helped me with the back post stitch order after the cross.
It's only when I watch your video that I appreciate the cable stitch. You made the cable stitch easy for me. 😍
Awww yay!!! Hands down one of may fave comments 🥰🥰
Amazing tutorial, thank you!! ❤
Love it I’m going to practice.. my mum used to do little squares in knitting if it was a new pattern to give her an idea how to do it
Very clear, thank you!
I bring my work closer with each row also. Sign of a great mind. :) Thank you for your calm instruction.
Susan Baker that’s awesome! ☺️🙌🏻
Susan Baker
I gradually bring my work closer & closer, too❗️Too funny‼️😁
Beautiful work ❣❣
I have been searching for a beginners video for cable stitches and I couldn’t find any that was as slow and good quality as urs, thanks so much❣️🙃
Leah Klostermann my pleasure! So glad this was helpful!
Thanks for sharing, you're easy to follow. .♡♡
Great tutorial, I have been working from a written pattern and could not figure out how to do the right hand cable working behind the other stitches, I was getting frustrated, but watching your video has explained it so well.
So beatiful. Thank you.
Edna Trullz my pleasure! Thank you!
The easiest video, I get it now. I'm going to attempt a pillow😁 eish me luck!
Thank you for tutorial
Thank you for this tutorial! Very easy!!
You are so welcome!
I like so much your work
Beautiful pattern
KNITTING & FOOD CRAFT thank you!
I'm making a hooded poncho and on the hood i wanted 3 cables to go, thanx to you, they start to form now :)
Thank you for this amazingly clear video!
Can you please make a cabled woman or man scarf ?
Thanks so very much for this video. It is so helpful and explained every step. Could watch you every day. Could you please let me know how many chains I need for a full and queen size blanket. Can’t wait to see what’s next👍
This is very pretty, thanks
You’re welcome 😊
Great video !! Now I know I can do your Neopolitan French Braid blanket 🙌🏼
Thank you . Can you do a tutorial doing a Celtic weave blanket . I have a hard time doing that stitch. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you
Anna
anna cardenas that one is on my list! 😁💕 So glad you liked it! Thanks for commenting ☺️
Lol, I dont think I will ever be able to do this. But it is pretty. Thanks for sharing. God loves you. God bless you.
Thank you! You too!
Fantastic
Thank you
Pernille Weis my pleasure!
Thank u for pattern. The pattern on pinterest said dc in the next 3..
Thank you so much! I was really confused by the pattern I’m doing. It’s incorrect and that doesn’t help, but now that I see how to do it I know how to fix the pattern. You explained and showed very clearly.
Cyndia Gilbert I’m so glad I was able to help!
Yessss!
I audibly gasped and said "I did not see that coming" when you said to crochet backwards haha
Bbt
THANK YOU😻😻😻🎈🎈🎈🧸🧸🧸👍👍👍
The design is nice, but with such a small patch ur working with, its making it look clumsy & hard to follow. Could u maybe make a little large practice piece so it would lay flatter & we could see a couple being made. Thanks.
Jameysgirl14 * I will be sure to do this in my next crochet cable tutorial! Thank you so much for your feedback!
Hi trust u keeping well thanks beautiful pattern tc God bless Sandy Kasi South Africa Kzn Durban 🙏🙏🙏🙌
Lovely work and very easy to understand once you repeated the pattern 😁 Had a quick ? Do you block your blanket by getting work damp and pinning in place or wash and dry on low in dryer. I'm guessing pinning in place but wanted to check. Thanks so much for your great tutorial. I can't wait to make this blanket!
Debbie Fox yes that's exactly how I block! So glad you liked the tutorial 😁💕💕
Is there a written pattern thanks in advance
Beautiful, too bad i won't be able to do this
Maravilhoso parabéns ❤❤❤❤
Yes this is totally me! One minute it’s on my lap, the next right up close 😂
You’re not alone hun. I’ve got some bernat softee chunky yarn I’m going to try this with as I’ve tried other patterns and don’t like how it’s turning out. Hoping the cable will work up better x
You asked, so I'll tell you. Yes, I find that as I work, I keep bringing the work closer and close to my face. I don't understand it. I also find that at times I have twisted my body to meet the work as I work across rather than moving the work in front of me. Weird.
I love the stitch, but I think it might be above my head at this point. I've been crocheting for about a month now. Making a waffle stitch blanket. Maybe I'll work up a patch as I watch you work. I'm not sure I have the patience for it. I keep having to frog my waffle stitch as I keep missing some of the posts. Very frustrating.
Is it easier with a bigger hook? Does it make the stitching easier
Wish you didn't have the music so I could concentrate on what you were saying better because your instruction is really good.
Judith Benton I’m so sorry it was distracting 😔. I am no longer adding in the music to new videos. Thank you for your patience as I’m learning through this whole filming process! 💕
Love the stitch. I have not been able to get your link to the written pattern to open.
SLB here ya go!

Do you only triple crochet when you are changing the twist, and then double crochet? Thanks! Great Work!
Dana Potter the right side of the cables are the front post triple crochet and the back side of the cables are back post double crochets
Do you double crochet in third or fourth chain from hook on row one.
I did it in the fourth chain, and it worked fine.
Is there a reason one side has six stitches from cable to the end and the other end has only has the two doubles at the end. Makes the blanket uneven on the sides. Or am I missing something?
How do I do those stitches if I am doing a blanket? I started a blanket and I do not understand how to do this if I am doing a blanket. I did the beginning of it and now I do not know how to do it if I have the double crochets before the cable.
Your written instructions say to use a size H hook. The one in your video looks massive in comparison. What yarn and hook are you using here in the video?
Raven North I used a 9MM hook for the tutorial so it was easier to see stitches and things.
Hello, as I'm watching the video, and crocheting with you I notice that you skip row 7 , and went straight to roll 8 am I wrong?
I have a question I must have done something maybe wrong mine does not look like the picture of your blanket mine looks like 3 swerved lines but not a defined crossed cable not sure if that makes since I can send a picture
I was following the written pattern and to be sure i was turning the right way. But when i saw video it was different from the written where here your saying 3 dc in beginning but here its 6. Should i follow video or pattern
Opps I was wrong you did do roll 7.. to early in the morning lol .
I have a question, I tried sending you an email and haven't heard back yet. So, I seemed to have found 2 patterns..One follows the picture with 3 DC and the beginning and end of each side. Another has 6 DC at each end. I can see the 12+ 3 working if the cables are at the end., but it doesn't seem to relate to picture or pattern. The 12 + 9 would work with 3+3+ 3 chains for turning.
Help me please, am I overthinking this? I have tried to do pattern 3 times and something is off.
janice kirwan chain in multiples of 12 until you have the length you want and then chain three for your first stitch. If you want the pattern to start with 6 regular double crochets on each side to make it symmetrical, after your last set of 12, chain 9 (this will be the extra 6 to make it even and then 3 for the first stitch). Hope this helps.
Hey! I love this tutorial but I'm just a little confused as to where the extra 3 stitches go? I've done the first 6 as regular double crochets and then the next 6 as the front post crochets but what do I do with the remaining 3?
I'm having the same issue
Hi! I have a new updated video for this pattern you can follow. It is a bit more in-depth and you can watch it here:

@@YHNFiberCo When I click this link all it says is it's unavailable.
@@YHNFiberCo it says that it isn't available.
Can I made same Stitch to blanket or teshert?
Duaa Alfaraj absolutely!
Is there a pattern available for purchase?
It would be easier to see if you used a lighter color yarn. I like your instruction. It's quite clear.
Miriam Ehrenreich thank you!
Start with 12 +3 in what chain first stitch 2nd or third?
Anna42132 - it means that the pattern itself is in multiples of 12. So it takes 12 stitches to create one set of cables! So just say you are making a blanket, then you make a chain of 12, an hero adding 12 chains over and over until you are left with a beginning chain that is how wide you would like your project (in my example I said blanket) and then you add 3 more chains. Since it needs 12 (at least) for the pattern to work, then you are ignoring these 3 chains and are going to begin double crocheting in the 4th stitch. The first 3 are just like when you turn rows to pick up height so tor work isn't slanted type thing. Hope this helps you:)
I won’t even begin this, I don’t feel like starting wrong.
I was wondering how to increase to a throw size. Would I just double the chain from 99 to 198?
Tammy Hairston yes that should work!
YarnHookNeedles thank you so much! I want to make one for my great aunt's birthday!
Tammy Hairston that’s awesome!!! I’m sure she will love it!
YarnHookNeedles I know she will it's so pretty!
Tammy Hairston i would love to see it! You can tag me on Facebook or Instagram @yarnhookneedles 😁💕
I really want to make this but I need to read it not just listen to it. Where did you say the pattern is? Please make it easy for me to find it. Thank you. I think I can do something I never thought I could do.
@yarnhookneedles.. the video says 12+3 and pattern says 12+9. Which do I do? Please advise me.
Dori Grant just sent you an email! Thanks for commenting and watching ☺️💕
thank you!!
So which one was correct?
What does plus 3 mean?
I'm sorry I don't understand what multiple of 12+3 means? Does it mean if I want to do 2x I would make 24+3 So 27 chain?
Namilea LOTI 24 + 3 is correct!
@@YHNFiberCo I think I get it, are the extra 3 for turning and doing the next row? Sorry I've done lots of hats but never really anything straight/flat.
Namilea LOTI yep! That’s right ☺️
@@YHNFiberCo thank you for replying and ty so much for the tutorial!
Namilea LOTI my pleasure! Thanks for commenting 💕
I can't find the written pattern on the Yarn Hook Needles.com site, and the link above does not work. Does anyone have the written pattern? It would be helpful to have it.
Patty Comey here ya go!

Your link to the pattern does not work
Where is the cable blanket with the colors.
So sorry, but I'm not understanding 😢 wish rode I have to do the cable on the front and wish 9n the back
I really love your tutorial, but that music is driving me NNNNNUUUUUUUTSSSS!!!
Gerlinde Rosensteiner oh no!!!! I’m so sorry it’s bothering you 😔
There's music?!!! I can barely hear her voice. What is wrong with my phone?
Great video but couldn't really hear you.
How do I block the stitch, please?
I was unable to access the pattern. I tried to subscribe but got an error message.
LadySoul please let me know if this is still the case!
At some point I must have come back because when I looked I was subbed, lol! I was also able to get the pattern., ☺
I meant to give a thumbs up but when I hit the icon it said unlike. sorry. Very helpful video.
Charl Mazz no worries! Thank you for watching!!! 💕💕
I cannot see the cable in that color of yard.😢
So I want to do a throw how many stitches do you recommend
Yatzirys Burgos about what size throw are you thinking?
Can't hear you lot low
Linda Waddell so sorry about the issues with sound. 😔
The captioning works wonders if you arent able to hear
the sound is not good at the beginning... i'm not able to understand how to start the firsts rows...
Confusing stitch.
Way too fast for a tutorial and would like to see a larger section
How much yarn do you need for a blanket you don’t tell us how much yarn or what size hook to use
here's the updated version of this pattern:
ruclips.net/video/6_tD5jpkXU/видео.html
YarnHookNeedles it won’t let me see it It says there’s no video available
Yes I do this too, to bring my knits near my face... then down again... then it slowly comes up... looool like a dance :) Wow! Soooo easy and beautiful... thank you! And... just a question... is it necessary to have this irritating music in the background? It is really annoying and disturbing as it is more difficult to hear you talk... and it is getting on the nerves... thank you for your interesting videos
No idea what chain you put the first dc into on the first row so I’m disappointed
Rebecca Kepner all she did was chain as long as she wanted to begin, then double crocheted into the 1st actual row. That is where the video picks up.
Rebecca Kepner typically with any start of a chain though you skip the first one as it’s not actually the beginning and will make it turn sideways if you don’t. So after chaining as many as you want, skip the first one and start the double crochet in the second stitch all the way across
Can hardly hear you.
Whats shown in the video is not the same as ur thumbnail.
I don't think the pattern is correct
Real confusing
Also written pattern is different from the video
And on one side we are getting 6 double crochet and the other side just 1..
Please explain
very very hard to understand as she speaks sooooo low. I like her crohet.
Your yarn is weird??..it's confusing me
Dee Trigg I’m so sorry to hear you were confused. 😞 Please let me know if there’s another way I can better assist you!
The music is so ANNOYING!
Veronica Begay I know 🙈😔 this was one of my first ever videos and I was doing it thinking that’s what I was supposed to do. But I’ve heard all of you loud and clear and no longer have the music playing after the intro! Sorry it bugs ya 😕
