    Once again your video is spot on. I own a 2009 Silverado that is constantly having minor equipment issues (worst truck I have every owed). Over the past few months I had been fighting with the driver’s side taillight being dim and then just not working. After watching your video I ordered the part and swapped out the Junction block. Everything is now working and it took me less than 30 mins. I did lower the spare tire to make a bit more room for my hands. In the video you mention that the retaining bolt is a 13 mm, my truck is a 2009 and the bolt was actually a 10 mm. Other than that everything matched up.

    You might want to plug the old taillights back in to see if they work right. If they do then it could be a wiring issue with the new lights.

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  9 лет назад +1

      Thank you for watching. It is possible the socket has burnt out. Remove the bulb and take a look, if this is the case you should be able to see its burnt or smell burnt plastic. If the socket checks out okay it is possible the Tail Light Junction Block has failed. . It is mounted on the rear frame rail behind the rear bumper. Due to this location, it is constantly exposed to the elements of rain, road debris, salt, & snow. Since it is electrical, this can cause it to corrode and then stop functioning. Please let us know how the repair comes out!

      John Richards i would replace the tailight circuit boards. make sure you use dielectric grease in all of your connectors.

      cristian prado I’m also having this problem. I can’t seem to find the issue. Were you able to find it? I’ve checked everything even all the hounds I could find under the truck and cleaned them all up.

    i have a 99 chevy silverado and when i hit breaks my rear break lights in the back dont turn on but my Hazzard lights turn on and my signal lights work but when i hit breaks they blink fast what can it be?

      Check the wire coming off of the brake light switch to see if it's frayed and coming into contact with something such as a piece of metal. If that's fine a blown bulb would also make the brake light hyper flash. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com

      @@1AAuto I'm having a similar issue. Turn signals on the back of the truck work until brakes are applied then they stop working and brake lights start blinking instead slightly. Let off brake works correctly again. Also if I turn on the headlights my amber turn signals light up and stay lit....? Bad grounds?
