Got mine aswell. A lot better than quest 1 that I tested 3 years ago. Of course there is still alot to improve. But this is more enjoy able now than before at this price point
@@ragn3852 sorry I was joking. Honestly it's so light on the front that if you lay down it's very little weight that presses on your face. The quest 2 I have always found heavy on the face.
Hey mate, I got a question regarding the pico 4. Just bought it yesterday and the image around the edges are flickey, looks almost like worms going around the edges. It is very noticeable, so any way to change this?

Hi m8,is there a big difference in clarity compared to the quest 2 ?? I sold my quest 2 and pre ordered the pico 4 as picture quality is what i look for,quest 2 was decent but to heavy and a bit fuzzy
It's visually better than the quest 2. Totally depends on how much of a difference you expect but just the move to pancake lenses has made a difference. The weight is the best bit for me though.
@@AndyMorphs the quest 2 was just ok not great i also had the first reverb G2 the visuals on that were very good but the tracking was terrible ! Hence the reason i passed it on
Unfortunately I don't see any visual improvement, but I've found an annoying bug: If you move/shake your head quickly, tracking can't keep up with the fast movement and the VR environment is moving/shaking as well. This doesn't happen with the Quest 2 at all.
Got mine yesterday and I can say I do see an improvement in clarity compared to the quest 2,my only gripe is I don’t think it’s very comfortable to be honest feel quite a bit of pressure on your face and nose areas ! hopefully VR cover etc make a better face plate for it
@@grantic5413 its a standard USB C plug you can use all chargers... if its a fastcharger it will take advntage at the 9v 2A.. otherwise it will be 5v 2A.. you cant go wrong with TypeC.. as the product will never ask for more then it can handle. you can use all yoru standard US chargers, or simply out a US plug on the native 20v charger.
For me it seems like there is less of it, but some people say that due to the lenses being so much clearer it's more. I don't know if it's more about the device or the users eyes.

Thought this would be my quest 2 killer but it’s just not. The graphical fidelity is definitely an improvement but that’s about it. Having compatibility issues with the controllers with most of the steam Vr games I use

It would be perfect if you’re able to side load cracked games like you can on the quest 2. I’ve searched about that but idk if there’s a way to do that just yet.
@@styrofoamx229 I believe you can, it's just running android. It's likely even easier than quest 2. the problem is Pico games aren't cracked yet. Give it a bit of time and it should be pretty easy

Great info there. I was actually wondering why it was so difficult to turn off headset easily - couldn't find the OFF button in menus! Why is hand tracking hidden in Developer menu? Is it still an unfinished beta feature? Is it ever going to be on main menu and not hidden, or does it work without going into dev menu and turning it on. Unfortunately the Pico 4 still has a barrel distortion error (wrong world scaling), which slightly bends the image when you move your head. This can cause motion sickness and the visuals do seem a little bit jittery. Overall the image on the Quest 2 ist noticably more stable and feels more natural. Currently i would not recommend the Pico 4 despite all the good features it has. Hopefully this issue can be fixed with a firmware update.
@@Anakin-dl6eb no, i am not. This is a common issue which has been reported by many users and also the developer of Virtual Desktop. Unless you are blind or just a Pico fanboy you will see this effect.

@@imbalos I also hope so. Despite this flaw I am using the Pico almost every day and it's a good headset in general with overall better displays compared to the Quest 2. This is most likely a software issue which should be fixed with an update. It's just strange, that after several years in VR development Pico have not managed to get this right and also that most reviewers on RUclips did not notice it, although it should be pretty obvious especially if you have tested other headsets before. But maybe you won't even notice this and do not bother about the distortion effect even if you see it.
LOL.. Pico 4 PPI (1194) pixels pr inch. 2x 2.56" 2160x2160 and that 1194 PPI pr eye. Quest 2 just have 1 single big LCD and have an PPI at 484 pixels pr inch 1832x1920 at 5.46" and that is shared for both eyes like the phone aproch from cardboard with 1 single screen. So its nigh and day, if Pico4 have almost 2½ times higher PPI density and for each eye.. same with FOV Pico 4 at 105" and Quest 2 at 89" degree.. Same with the battery, Pico massive 5300mah and Quest 2 with 3640mah, so Pico4 almost 50% more. Same goes with charging.. Pico 4 20watt.. Quest 2 10watt. same with hardware Pico 4 8GB, Quest 2 merely 6GB. Same goes for comfort.. Quest 2 is annoying as with that bulk and then all the other bells and whistle. motorised IPD, pancake lenses.. 16mpix RGB pothrue.. But I dotn wanna ,pop your ballon, if you happy with yoru Quest 2.. then that is all what matters. but it aint apples to apples.. Quest is an older fellow and back then it rule the standalone market, but on specs and price it does look quite a bit dated against Pico 4-. But they should reall start using OLED panels... that inky black on a pixelcontrol is crucial IMO. It would go a long way if you refered to soem sources. Nobody should purchase the quest2 now..simply a dated product.

it is 7 or thereabouts, but it is quick constant clicks no pausing. As he said consecutive as fast as you can. I have 5.2.7 as well and it did not work until I did it fast
Just unboxed my Pico 4, and my first impression was... DISAPPOINTED 😭😭😭 The face cushion is so stiff, it pressed my face much more than the Quest 2, I didn't feel it light at all. It also left ugly marks on my face just after a few minutes of play. Terrible. 😣 There was no tracking at all until I set the boundaries, it made me feel dizzy. The worst bug: if I shake my head quickly, the whole scene moves with my head like there was no tracking at all. This doesn't happen with the Quest 2. Very annoying... The color pass-through is also very bad. Objects that are 1.5m tall were displayed as flat on the floor... The depth sensor is clearly missing, without that it's a mess. Overall, the Pico 4 is a huge disappointment, I think I'll cry.... And will sell it as soon as I can. 😞
as for the face cover i have seen other youtubers talk about it but i honestly find it a comfy out-of-the-box experience. It sounds like you don't like it though, maybe just send it back.

My biggish issue is I can't stream to my smart TV because it only lets you stream to an android TV. Why?!

It's just a usb c to usb c lead so you can just swap out the plug.

It's still in testing. I think it will be launched soon. Its improved alot in the last month or so

I don't think 60htz is good enough for vr, you may get more motion sickness.. can I ask why you would want it that low?

Just unboxed my Pico 4, and my first impression was... DISAPPOINTED 😭😭😭
The face cushion is so stiff, it pressed my face much more than the Quest 2, I didn't feel it light at all. It also left ugly marks on my face just after a few minutes of play. Terrible. 😣
There was no tracking at all until I set the boundaries, it made me feel dizzy.
The worst bug: if I shake my head quickly, the whole scene moves with my head like there was no tracking at all. This doesn't happen with the Quest 2. Very annoying...
The color pass-through is also very bad. Objects that are 1.5m tall were displayed as flat on the floor... The depth sensor is clearly missing, without that it's a mess.
Overall, the Pico 4 is a huge disappointment, I think I'll cry.... And will sell it as soon as I can. 😞
as for the face cover i have seen other youtubers talk about it but i honestly find it a comfy out-of-the-box experience. It sounds like you don't like it though, maybe just send it back.
The first thing you should change is...change your mind about buying one.
