Man THAT is the coolest!! I would love love love love love to get a Swiss with trench art. The more personalized or well used and taken care of it is the more it interests me. We are getting one of the long rifles next either the 1911 or g11 or whichever variant is available in the 7.5. After that one I’m getting the super old one to reload for. This Swiss rifles are the cream of the crop imo
There are sweeeeeet! If you’re gunna hand load for it you should grab the first one in 7.5x53. We are gunna grab one further down the list. I assume you can just reload the regular 7.5 Swiss to the oldey specs.
@@BigBoyRabbit420 actually, it's 7.5x55, just like yours, a k11. However, I don't need the excessive punishment, and will load to gp90 spec. All matching stuff on it, but someone painted the bands and butt plate on it, in past. I'd asked if they had any under "good enough", and got a deal on it.
@@charlene2400I’m tracking. I was saying if you were gunna hand load anyway you should ALSO get one of the antiques. I’m getting the antique one to load BP rounds for after I get the 1911 or G11
@@BigBoyRabbit420 flip er right sight up and you'll have you last round hold open lol. Did it ever have trouble feeding the last round in either of your K11's with that follower upside down?
@@MovieMaker225 no I’ve never noticed lol. His had trouble feeding the first round but I think we edited it out. I wonder if it was routinely done. Turned out I flipped mine when I cleaned it but I distinctly remember prior to cleaning being able to work the bolt with the mag in and the episode I filmed shooting mine the follower was upside down. It was later after I got the Swiss kit in that I took it apart and I guess I put the follower back in correctly without noticing.
Swiss Miss fix - Have you checked out Edelweiss Arms? They run sales a few times a year but you know what you're going to get. I do tempt lady luck with RTI as well. Awaiting a Beaumont now.
Yes I have. That’s where I’m probably getting one of the Swiss service sigs. The Beumonts didn’t peak my interest enough to get one of them. Granted it would just take me hearing someone praise it for something for me to want to check it out myself but as it stands I’m allocating funds elsewhere lol
The only two public ranges im aware of is 601 over on 39 and their is a shooting club that uses the police training facility back behind the mall. I’ve used both but I’m generally not going to pay to use an indoor range unless it’s just unbelievably hot. The ranges we film at are private.
Roger that. I’ve been shooting out at battlefield race track a little bit, but mainly on some private land. Just picked up a 1971 Yugo SKS in need to run some clips through. Love your channel, keep it up man.
@@DanielCook-cr7knthank you! I’ve never been particularly attracted to the Yugo SKS because of their permanent nade caster. But I’m gunna get one for example purposes! Did you find it in M-town? I seem to recall seeing one somewhere recently but I don’t remember seeing any yesterday when we went shop hopping
I picked mine up at the last Philadelphia, MS gun show for $530 out the door. The piston and hand guard had been replaced at some point in its life. You are welcome to use it in a video if you don’t find one.
@@DanielCook-cr7knah you got it! It’s very easy to run across me. And im very recognizable because im the only person in the area with a white Laika service dog wearing a bloody and ragged tac vest. Just be sure to approach from the front. 😂😂😂 shoot me an Email at Mississippimilsurp@gmail.com I know good and well I have some wood SKS gas tube covers somewhere. I’ll hook you up for hooking us up.
Ive got a 96/11 that is rather rough, in a good way. Has trench art, names and dates carved all over the rifle.

Thats interesting, my magazine follower has a last round hold open. I've never seen one like that! His K11 reminds me a bit of mine.
Mine doesn’t have a last round stopper either. I didn’t think they did lol
