Do you ride a cargo ebike? Does this solution make sense for you? What things would you be looking for?

I have multiple ebikes, one for hauling the kids around that is pretty heavy and also a belt drive, so I probably wouldn't be changing a tire on the roadside in the rain. Usually we aren't that far from home, but 100% this is worth it for peace of mind.

Thanks for this. I just signed up. I had a breakdown on my front-loader ebike last year that left me stranded. That time I called AAA which eventually came through but they scratched up the bike quite a bit due to them not knowing how to secure it onto a flatbed tow truck. And with a belt drive + Rohloff, even a rear flat is not something I'm inclined to take care of on the side of the road. So these guys will be good peace of mind to have around.

@@YosukeMatsumura yeah sounds like you're the perfect example! Tyler was talking about the AAA situation too

I used to be a AAA member for my E-Cargobike. While it was not ideal, the 2 times I got a ride with AAA sure beat having to walk 10+mi with a broken fully loaded cargo bike. I wish Speedy's existed then!
Will have to investigate for more info, even if I am not electric any more.

This is cool and maybe it will expand into more areas like Snohomish county eventually. I mostly ride recumbent trikes, but owing to being turned away in the past by many bike shops with my early e-bikes, I don’t have any problem doing any repairs trail side. However I know a lot of newer riders who would love this service, or a mobile bike repair mechanic that I saw once in Denver

I am a member! Definitely good peace of mind while using my Urban Arrow out and about in Seattle.

I have used Speedy's for my Gazelle Eclipse and it was great. The peace of mind is worth it.

Timely video. This van parks in my neighborhood and I pass it on my ride home from work every day. I had been meaning to look them and up and find out more about the business model, so thanks for telling us about how it all works.

Cool idea. I wonder if Speedy's could partner with AAA. That would get them more calls and more business. The benefit to customers is that their AAA membership would cover the cost.

I keep temping fate by not having this service. There's no way I'm fixing a flat while making sure my 3 year old doesn't run into traffic. Next spring!

Cool idea and the price makes it really good value, but not convinced about the business side, even with 10,000 users on Standard plan that's probably barely enough to cover costs (and that's a huge percentage of regular cyclists in the Seattle area). Maybe if they combine this service with a pick-up/drop-off bike rental, idk.
Anyway it's awesome to see people experimenting with ideas for services like this!

Ortlieb Vario. A pannier/backpack hybrid I've really enjoyed!
