Prospects and younger players offer real hope. Call ups like Berard and Mancini have brought a spark, as have the two new defensemen acquired in trades.
Same, I'm on the fence about Otthman but he's still a decent player, I just don't expect too much from him. Rangers missed a chance to call up either Connor Mackey or Matthew Robertson. It just seems like nobody knows what the hell there doing within the Organization. Both are over 6"3" and play physical hockey. This would be a great chance for either of them to gain some NHL experience. btw, Robertson is killing it in Harford this season. 1 goal and 13 assist with a +4. I honestly just don't understand how this current Rangers management thinks.
@delsanravelvetheart4365 it's NY the pressure to win NOW is always on them young players don't ever get the ice time to develop there's always rentals or some veteran slotted in , and around and around we go.
@@Ddeamorin Well yeah because the vets get all the main line minutes and the younger players get bottom six forward minutes and third line defensive minutes. Any young players growth would be affected by this. The Rangers are one of the worst, if not the worst in the League when it comes to player development. The Rangers need a culture change top to bottom within the organization. We need people who will properly pay attention to the younger players/prospects.
Brennan Othmann is Will Cullye Vol. 2 with more offense IMO. He plays physical and has a Grade A shot. I still want Rangers to switch Perrault to center & I see him between Cullye & Othmann as a potentially excellent line. The D looked a little better in the Canes game, but the forwards were running all over the place. I recall one moment when one player was telling another player where he was supposed to be. Teams have figured out that they should dump the puck in & apply a heavy forecheck & the Rangers seemingly have no strategy to counteract this. Fox & Panarin are liabilities in the D-zone, but assets in the O-zone, although Fox played badly in the last game with some stupid passes. Urho looked OK out there. Even Ruhwedel was OK. As for the Rangers they have virtually no forecheck at all, losing board battles & allowing other teams relatively easy exit from their own zone. During the game I wished we had a coach like Brind'Amour, not like Laviolette who was completely outcoached.
Rangers have played dump and chase hockey for a long time now. Which does help take advantage of there teams good speed. However, that style of offense doesn't seem to work anymore properly as the players are now fives years older when they started to really only focus on this offensive style of hockey. I'd like to see them carry the puck into the other teams zone and then set up there offense that way, instead of playing dump and chase hockey.
@@delsanravelvetheart4365 If your going to play dump & chase it can be effective if you have good forecheckers that can win along the boards, like Florida & Carolina do. Panarin is really good at carrying the puck in as is Lafreniere, but it is not a team strength.
5-0 loss to the Devils today and only getting a total of......wait for it....... 12 shots total is embarrassing. I actually think that was the worst Rangers performance I've never seen as a long time fan.
Forget any cup aspirations until Kreider and Miller get traded. Talks about acquiring Stamkos or JT Miller will not help the team at all. Bench Mika or reduce his minutes to 5 minutes a game.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you Rangers fans
Yeah....we sure need it now😂
Same to you mmonurdz I appreciate the support you show on the channel
Love my Rangers. Make us proud and work your way out of this current slump. Eff Drury!
Like you doing these prospect updates. Makes it easy to keep up on the future of the Rangers. So is Rico Reading the new Kappo? Lol 😅
Happy Xmas 🎄🏒 !
Thanks I appreciate it. Merry Christmas

I'm not convinced otthman is going to be huge impact player but , I'm excited to get these guys up in the show and get some minutes .

@@Ddeamorin Sad but true. It truly is a sight us Ranger fans are used to seeing by now.
@delsanravelvetheart4365 you would think how consistently good Hartford is we would be bringing up dominant kids all the time but it never pans out.

Definitely some similarities to their games

I missed the game cause of work but I was checking the stats. Things just keep getting worse.
Perrault will look great til after his first 6 months in the rangers systems. Then he will look like lias Anderson
Keep Perrault away from this dumpster fire as long as possible..
Team needs to tank for hagens and trade for ryan leonard. Then sign mcdavid
He'd be great to get so the team can keep that chemistry together with Perreault.
This doesn't make me feel any better after a 5-0 drubbing to the Devils....12 SHOTS ON GOAL ????????????????????????
Gabe Perrault, maybe. The rest of these 'prospects' will never play in the NHL. Wake up Ranger fans Chris Drury has destroyed this team!

Why risk Mika's chances to have the worst plus-minus in history?
except the NYR SUCKS at developing young talent. FACT!!
Hopefully they can change that with some of these prospects
No they don't
Most of the young talent they have now can still produce.
