That would be the first true major news coming from the Rangers that I'd be pleased about. I'd even dance during work if the news broke while I was in the office lol.
Observation is every time Drury makes a move or extends a contract mid season the team slums down on intensity. He should really just make moves in the off-season. I really like Borgan because he plays humble and physical. Great character and talent. If you give a guy a raise in your company they is going to be some negative moral just like in your own work environment. Everyone believes they are contributing and Borgans extension I feel effects the team mindset and moral. Once Drury steps in with a distraction, the team synergy drops. Rempe coming back brought energy and the team played more natural being that there is finally an enforcer on the team. Trade Drury as his timing and business sense or tactics negatively effects the team. LGRs!!!
@ exactly that’s why lay down laviolette and his ballerina hockey theory has to go. He doesn’t like Rempe even though he makes everyone in the team more comfortable knowing he has their backs. Everyone wants a teammate like Rempe. He couldn’t wait to dump reaves on waivers for him to turn around and get a multi year contract from Toronto for above average $, not exactly a player you dump on waivers. That’s why I think Drury would trade Rempe, and most likely for and old guy with no enforcer characteristics. Drury and lay down both need to go
This just in "IT'S BAD" lol. I'm not exactly sure how to track that stat down. Give me a day, to go over every goal scored in the early/late part of the game. I can give you a proper stat then.
@@Ddeamorin After tracking the Rangers part of the stat, I noticed a trend. The Rangers actually scored more early/late goals within the first/last 3 minutes of a period. That changed after the loss against the Jets on November 12th when they started giving up more goals in the first/last 3 minutes of each period. Which is just around the time they started playing awful hockey. They've given up 47 goals in that span, this year. So far there tied with the Bruins.
If you think Zibanejad can be fine going forward, you’re obviously not watching him play. He’s a black hole who can’t score or win a puck battle. Every player who is put on his line regresses , Cuylle was having a breakout season until he was put on the Zibanejad line and now he’s a minus player.
Sad but true. I love Mika a lot but he's just been regressing for two years now. It's time to move on from him. He's very limited as a player, unless he's on the top PP line.
I'm not saying fine as in worth $8.5m but he's probably not gonna be this bad for the rest of his career. I fully understand he's played terrible for a long time and it hasn't just been this season I've talked lots about it in past videos.
@@carlor.s.4742 Pretty much. The voices of the fan base/players dislike for Drury and Lavi seem to really be effecting both of them. Rumors have picked up a lot with the Rangers and Lavi knows the team has all but tuned him out. Lindgren even admitted the rumors surrounding him has effected his performance recently.
Trading for miller is ridiculous! Why did they dump him in the pointless “sell off” if he is so good? They really can’t have 38 year old players making big money and for this long. I agree they should never have gotten rid of miller but you don’t fix that mistake by ruining the salary cap for a few years! They should have been in on Taylor hall or other players that don’t have so many years on their contract and in their age! They need a spark, which should have been given already when getting rid of “lay down” laviolette and his no contact hockey style
Actually Miller is 31 with 5X8 mil left, which i think is a great deal for what he brings. This is still a lot of talk from Rutherford. Canucks are playing better of late and if that continues I don't see Van making a trade at least until season's end if at all. Rutherford has now put the pressure on both players to figure it out moving forward or they will be gone and I think that was his intention here. Lay the cupboard bare and see what happens. A big risk but only time will tell.
I'd look at the Sabers, over the Canucks. Sabers haven't exactly been shy about saying that they have players available for trade. Dylan Cozens is the main name that has been mentioned.
@@bellamydrake9343 they have enough players who will be 35-38 all at the same time making over 7mil per season. Historically having a team of older players that make crazy money hasn’t been a positive. It is far too dangerous to assume that all of these players are going to be playing at the same level once they are 34 and older. Taking a chance on one or two is one thing. But having Mika, krieder, panarin, trochek is enough of a risk. They will get stuck having to trade them away and giving up prospects or picks just to move the contracts to get younger legs If miller had 2/3 years it would be totally different. The last two years of millers contract along with all the other old timers means they won’t be able to get or retain any big talent for the next 5 years and that’s too risky
JT Miller is a much better player now than what he was originally with the Rangers but I understand it's not ideal to trade some big assets for someone who was previously on the team
@@bawagsLGR Yeah, Panarin loves the blind, east /west pass in the nuetral zone, or either blue line. I like how they've played the last month or so, but they need an upgrade at several forward positions to ever compete.
Drury will never win with this core group. He needs to move several players, assess current prospects, and rebuild for the future... rebuild 2.0. This teams window slammed-shut last year ECF vs Florida. No bad contracts, build cap space for future additions to prospect core.
I agree. Despite how good JT Miller can be. It doesn't change the fact that he can blow up on a player at any moment, like he's doing with Elias. Rangers really don't need anymore locker room distractions/problems. Also, he seems like he's already on the wrong side of 30.
The Sabers made a public memo that a lot of there players are available. I'd look at making a deal with the Sabers, more so then acquiring JT Miller from the Canucks.

Rutherford's comments may wake up both Petty and Miller to act like men and put the team first. We have won two in a row impressively and if it continues I don't see either getting moved during the season at least. But that is a big if.
