Nice tutorial video. The bevel cut is a nice solution to the baseboard problem. I have seen a few alternatives. The other two you mentioned as well as adding another baseboard piece upside down stacked ontop of the existing baseboard. I have also seen instead of stacking a baseboard ontop upside down to use a time piece ontop of the baseboard. I don’t really care for any of those or the using the same width new board after removing the old baseboard because may times the wall being worked on isn’t isolated so the adjoining wall will have a different baseboard even if it’s the same width. I don’t like the idea of that. Your solution solves that problem nicely.
I am a new subscriber from Instagram. What a wonderful learning tutorial. Thank you so much. While I am just an extreme beginner it is great to watch while on my treadmill and learning. I also and going thru my instagram to learn from only a few and you make it seem possible!!!
Hi there, great video. How would you tackle a wall that perhaps isn’t flat/level? The wood finish is great but it doesn’t seem very flexible. Would love to get your thoughts.
do you have to nail the vertical boards to existing studs behind the wall? our wall is drywall and what happens if we miss the studs, I don't neccisarily want them to be 16 inches apart.
No you don’t have to do that. Mine aren’t. Just reinforce with nails at the top and bottom and cross them in an X. Shoot one nail upward, then downward so they cross behind the surface
Hey Hana! New subscriber and fellow RUclips friend here 😊. I really want to do this to my front hallway. It’s also narrow and long. What an easy way to elevate your home. Loving all your shorts, this is how I found you 😊. Keep up the good work my friend
9:30 "Are we ready to see this color? I haven't opened this yet... Anticipation!" Color already in a paint tray in the background 😂 Lovely project though
Our wall has a textured design to it, would that be an issue?
You seem very sweet. Nice job

Hi! Most walls aren’t level. That’s why I caulked the seams of the trim so make them look more flush

The candle holders are kinda old. They were from H&M. The painting is from Juniper Print shop
