I have a lot a lot of respect for Brian Patrick Carroll (Buckethead). He refused to become a studio whore, and has been his own master. He plays what he wants, when he wants, where he wants, and with whom he wants. Few musicians can say that.
This guy could play any style and play with any band. Extremely talented and not afraid to do his own thing and not what the big labels want. He has my respect.
Far as I'm concerned, there should be an "out" music channel that broadcasts shows like this 24/7. I could watch a concert like this for five hours straight. So damn cool...
A stage packed full of talent. Brain is killin it. Such a machine. I love these guys so much. I don't smoke herb but I think I'd like to smoke a doobie with Bootsie.
Buckethead is just Buckethead he is the man!!!! Creativity, technique, skills, tonality, rhythm, and experiment he has got it all!!!! A true musician and virtuoso guitar player!
This is absolutely unfuckingbelievable, I can't thank you enough for posting it! Did anyone else notice that's Busta' Rhymes in the yellow shirt and blue shorts?
weather you dig his style or not , you have to admit he is talented , worked his ass off , did his own thing , has his own sound (which is very versatile compared to past guitar "gods" ) and developed the best yet "legend" . that is one of the things i really respect about this guy , his fake ass backstory has to be the best yet , and will not be out-done for a long , long time .
i love the bootsy party at the end!!! buckethead gets out of the way and then re-emerges with that outer space video game tap riff that makes you go "WTF is he doing!" and then just look at all the ridiculous costumes on stage at the same time, it looks like circus!!!
buckethead should be getting more than 15 minutes to play on TV buckethead isn't some shitty pop "star" trying to make millions off of one shitty song that gets popular for a month and then everyone forgets about it if people had common sense they would listen to buckethead he has 300 albums so you'll definitely find some awesome songs
Wildly entertaining! And I'm square. Maybe I was there for a minute, after all these years of mindless conformity (as some are wont [yes, wont] to say), getting down with my bad self, as it were. Oh, well, back to "Architectural Digest," my happy place where it's safe.
Jim Muncy The Hollywood at Home issues!Years ago, I did deliveries for a small furniture store her in Memphis and my boss gave me his AD after his wife read them!
I've been playing guitar for ten years i understand the fact of how simple rap music is. My idols are Jeff Loomis, Buckethead, Christian mueznzer, ana vidovic, antoine dufour and many others like them. I have a deep passion for all forms of music and a very good understanding of musical theory. Rap music lets my mind rest in a sense it's relaxing. I can easily sit back with certain hip hop cd's like tech n9ne does alot of fascinating and creative things with his timing and i can take it in fine
Preston Davis snoop and buckethead would be epic i only say that cuz he had a jazz/funk band not long ago not sure if he's still doing it he changed his name to snoop lion and went back to snoop dog😁🤔
@planesx12 you should really check out some of his other mellower, 'non-shredding' work. i.e. colma, electric tears, diamond in the rough. if that's not musical talent, i don't know what is.
yes, in fact in an interview he said he broke his leg skateboarding and because of that he couldnt join primus in the late 80s, he was going to be the drummer but tim alexander took over after he broke his leg.

Buckethead in, Giant Robot which is also this project
lmao....this had to be the most surreal PBS concert ever.
I love it when Buckethead and Bootsy Collins play together. Bootsy plays and sings on my fave Buckethead album.
Far as I'm concerned, there should be an "out" music channel that broadcasts shows like this 24/7. I could watch a concert like this for five hours straight. So damn cool...

I love musicians you can tell actually jam in their spare time.
The only time Buckethead puts his guitar down is to practice nunchucks
Buckethead is just Buckethead he is the man!!!! Creativity, technique, skills, tonality, rhythm, and experiment he has got it all!!!! A true musician and virtuoso guitar player!
The trumpeter kick ass! Metal trumpet for life!!!
The fact that I still struggle to fully wrap my head around the genius that is Buckethead, I will not stop trying. This stuff is just incredible.
Wow that trumpet guy is really good!
I like the one part where the drummer is having a seizure of some sort and Buckethead is doing that little note. Lol.
1:30-3:07.... that should fucking totally be my morning alarm clock
1:29 my fucking alarm ringtone
TheEliminator1992 hahhhaa goddamn buddy
Only the greatest guitarist in the world can get away with playing that noise for 2 minutes straight.
ain't no party like a Praxis party
they should've named this "Buckethead's Talent Show"
The level of Buckethead's talent; Shake Booty's hand and continue shredding: Master
Man, that last solo. Wow. He's soooooooooooo good.
This is absolutely unfuckingbelievable, I can't thank you enough for posting it! Did anyone else notice that's Busta' Rhymes in the yellow shirt and blue shorts?
The one and only The Mighty Buckethead 😎🎸!!!!!!
BRAIN IS A BEAST
Beats the drums like they owe him money
i love the way Brian (the drummer) does his awesome drum "shred" with Bucky in the background
Bucket head is awesome, a master who cares if he has a gimmick it rocks
I love the mystery , the guys awesome !
It's not a gimmick...It is an artistic expression that means something to those who take the time to contemplate it.
Blazing new trails. That's Buckethead. What a force of Nature.
I live how he is always out of the mainstream box!!!!!!! love it!!!
Wow, they need to repeat this broadcast and advertise it better! :) Encore PBS!!, Encore!
you keep the funk alive buckethead.
Buckethead and bootsy on pbs. God bless America
weather you dig his style or not , you have to admit he is talented , worked his ass off , did his own thing , has his own sound (which is very versatile compared to past guitar "gods" ) and developed the best yet "legend" . that is one of the things i really respect about this guy , his fake ass backstory has to be the best yet , and will not be out-done for a long , long time .
What a show! Can't believe the lineup!
Thanks for the ride, Buckethead!

Wished I could have caught this on PBS!! Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Yeah! Just embrace the muse - wherever it takes you.
goddamn that "come back" Brain and Dj disc does after the drumsolo in meta matic is so good
That bassist kicks ass.
From total anarchy to synchronized awesomeness. Absolutely brilliant! @ Meta matic.
Only on PBS!
Shit, I thought my alarm clock was going off but it turns out it was just Buckethead.
this put me in a sick trance
what a freak show hahaha just pure awesomeness!!!
Its bucket just going off , and the fingers wow !
They took Bootsy in to normalize the show but it is crazy anyway. What a fun! Great!
Haha
Bootsy got dem Highwater Bell Bottoms ... OnTop !
Every time I watch PBS I end up thinking - OK, diversity is good, we get it. Now put BUCKETHEAD back on and I'll be happy to contribute.
i love the bootsy party at the end!!! buckethead gets out of the way and then re-emerges with that outer space video game tap riff that makes you go "WTF is he doing!" and then just look at all the ridiculous costumes on stage at the same time, it looks like circus!!!
That drummer's pretty sick at playing with Bucky
LOL, those credits were fittingly trippy :)
Latecomer, instant fan.
Listening to this while living in Chi-town suddenly seems to be High-town! I got 5 on it!
If you don't know who they are you should check out Praxxis.
Great stuff.
Buckethead Brain Bill Lazwell Bootsy Collins
This video is so haunted. I love it.
Very good Drummer...
So...funky...can't...stop...watching
Gotta love the innovation...
that groove is naughty!
I remember listening to Buckethead/Praxis before it was cool and anything else Subharmonic (r.i.p.) put out at the time
Yep Bill Laswell is amazing and good friends with Mr. Buckethead. They're in Praxis together as well as other amazing goodies like you said.
Superman no doubt
It's over already? Damn it was just beginning!
LOLLL weirdest musical collaboration ever
5:22 The audience can't dance, but they do it anyways, because they have no choice.

He’s too good to be in a band! He’s doing the perfect act. there’s a lot going up on there in his head be in a band
buckethead should be getting more than 15 minutes to play on TV buckethead isn't some shitty pop "star" trying to make millions off of one shitty song that gets popular for a month and then everyone forgets about it if people had common sense they would listen to buckethead he has 300 albums so you'll definitely find some awesome songs

Jacob Anderson I mean right, like wtf some folks have not a clue lol 🤪
Cool!! How fun is that shit? Thanks for posting it!!
So you're saying this can be on pbs, but bucket can't perform at disney?
PBS is WAY different than Disney.
Anna Harward actually he was recently invited to play at Disney world not to long ago
Euph how so when his favorite place to go is Disneyland?
Anna Harward I think that an Avant-garde artist of Buckethead's stature would not perform at the land of the
Mickey Rodent.🌚✨🎼🙏🏼🎼✨
@@nirradyen-tolobaz3727 ??? Buckethead is one of disney's biggest fans
With BOOTSY COLLINS!!! Awesome performance. Hugely entertaining
Wildly entertaining! And I'm square.

So you know, I'm a white kid from the suburbs and I liked Parliament in the 70's. Everyone thought I was crazy.
cray cray
i wish was there for that, i seen when he was here i just didnt see the show.
yes, in fact in an interview he said he broke his leg skateboarding and because of that he couldnt join primus in the late 80s, he was going to be the drummer but tim alexander took over after he broke his leg.
I bet he's sleeping behind the mask. Doing this in his sleep.
If this guy spoke any more truths, he could be the next king of america.
Mark my words, you will see more of this man in your future.
BOOTZILLA
i thought he was saying "fuck it!fuck it!fuck it!"
That beat is so FUNKY!
How the Hell can Brains drums stay in one piece...madman!
Isn't this technically Praxis? Not just Bucket? I mean, there's Brain, and Laswell, and the two DJ's.
