Two friends of mine from Glasgow were in a London pub drinking and they were having an argument is that Bill Wyman having a drink? Eventually they went over to ask him if he was and as they approached Bill said okay you can have an autograph. We don’t want an autograph they replied we just wanted to settle an argument. They all laughed and ended up spending the night with Bill drinking.
Yes, but it has to be said that Mick Jagger would have had (prefered) his friend Dick taylor (of the pretty Things, who remembers them?) on Bass if it wasn't for the fact that Bill had a great amp...
@@jameswitham2141 Dick Taylor was the first bass player of the Rolling Stones for a short time but he prefer to be a guitarist so he left the Stones and created Pretty Things and never regretted it, he stayed friend with Jagger.
Not a Stones fan so did not know that Billy could even sing. Enjoyed this tune though....Ol' Albert Lee in the background supplying some tasty guitar fills.
Bill played with the Stones from their inception, he also composed the opening riff for Jumping Jack Flash on a piano, which Keith immediately jumped on. He invented the fretless bass, by removing the frets so that he could the sound he wanted on King Bee & others.
Piccadilly Circus meets Vaudeville! Sorry, but these Brits seem to have forgotten what rock and roll was about. Listen to the original by Chuck Berry, and judge for yerself!
Woman Should’ve been doing more songs with the Rolling Stones; I know what it’s like to be a bass player; for one thing it’s hard to sing and play bass at the same time; guitar players are a dime a dozen; bass player worth a quarter apiece
I saw an interview with Mick Jagger, he was asked about Bill Wyman leaving the Rolling Stones and he basically said it was no big deal, he shrugged it off and said anybody could play bass for the Stones. Kind of a weird and disrespectful answer.
Compare his vocals to Keith Richards. It’s like comparing a songbird to a blender grinding up nails. That’s taking into consideration that Bill isn’t that good of a singer.😂
@@JeffaHensley I agree. I think everyone is misunderstanding my post. I’m saying Keith is not a great vocalist. Bill can song lead vocals better than Keith. Not much better but better. Keith’s vocals have suffered mightily over the years.

Fabuloso!!!!!!!!!!
As much as he's a great bass player watching Bill on the stage is as exciting as watching grass grow.
Like watching Roy Orbison, who used to come on stage, stand there and sing, then walk off. They could’ve used a cardboard cut out with more animation.
@@doncullen9419 Except that the cardboard cutout doesn't have a voice.

I’ve watched these guys live, many times. Pure talent all the way.
I saw them in Tunbridge Wells at the very first gig Andy Fairweather Lowe Albert Lee. Gary Booker and others it was friggin awesome
Saw the group at Norwich. Was a fantastic night.

Why has Bill Wyman not featured on the BBC ,2 TV show on the stones. It's unforgivable.

Albert Lee on guitar wow!!
Bill Wyman rules! His precise, on-the-money bass playing puts all the other bass players to shame!

That's who I thought it was. Nice.
The great Albert Lee. Always in the background- never up front giving it large and showing off. Saw him last Monday; terrific.
