Absolutely brilliant remember seeing this live at Birmingham symphony hall with this rhythm Kings line up the ovation at the end from the sell out audience raised the roof
Can we give a huge thumbs up for the ladies in chorus. Especially the lead singer, (sorry I don't know her name?) Awesome. By the way, Georgie Fame and the blue flames, were an awesome band that faded to soon. I have an L.P. (long playing record for the young'uns) called "The price of Fame" which was a brief collaboration Georgie did with Alan Price (keyboard player for the "Animals") Great combination! Having been in my late teens at this time (I'm in my eighty first year now!) this change in style from pop back to bluesy stuff, put me on a new path to follow. Was lucky enough, after having immigrated to Australia, to see Georgie Fame late in his career, at a Club in Sydney about 1974/5. IMO, one of the greatest blues singers to come out of the UK.
An ideal kind of song for Georgie Fame to sing and play, backed up by the other soulful vocals. In the Rhythm Kings version Melody is credited to Billy Preston, but on the Rolling Stones album Black and Blue the credits go to Jagger / Richards, while Preston is only mentioned as the one who "inspired" it. Preston's singing and playing is very prominent on the original and for a big part make the song happen. Interesting that Peter Frampton was one of the guitarists who were considered to replace Mick Taylor, when they were recording Black and Blue.
Ironically, Frampton was one of the guitarists the Stones considered when they were looking for Mick Taylor's replacement. He didn't play on the Black and Blue Sessions, but this session gives a pleasant suggestion of what that combo might have sounded like.
Only just got introduced to this band and I must say I am but impressed, good to see the Leyth lad Clive Powell on top of his game. And the lead singer, who is she, very good blues singer.
Is this one of those uncredited Wyman tunes/riffs?. We all know about JJF and there's no doubt Miss You is a Jagger tune, but without thar bass line it's nothing. Hi, Darryl...
@@EdubertoPalitroke no I meant Billy Preston wrote most of the song. That is definitely Bills Bass. Been a Stones fan since I was 8 (1969) I’d know Bills sound anywhere ✌️
Happy Birthday Mr. Wyman! 🥂🎶
Frampton killed that guitar solo. LOVED IT!
Frampton, underated guitar master. Love him. Blues and groove are uncommon in such tunes. Hot and spicy Melody.
Hammond organ kills too.
Bill you're so damn cool. This is one cool tune. It was her second name......
Peter Frampton sensacional, The blues, The feeling!
One of the best stone's songs thank you so much for sharing ❤

Probably Billy Preston.
@@johngore7744 Some say so, but that line is pure bass. I can't figure a keyboard running those notes.
