- I'm starting a series of videos where I explore backroads and desert roads on my Kawasaki KLX 300. In episode #1 i'm checking out an unnamed road that's only about 4 miles from my house. It's listed as a 4x4 trail and turns out to not be very easy on 2 wheels. I had fun aways and got some great practice riding in sand and rocks. I hope you enjoy...
Nice! Keep it up!
Thanks. Have a new episode coming soon. I got a little worried. Haha.
I got a klx230 s and I’ll be taking motorcycle riding courses on Saturday and Sunday and I’m super excited also nervous as the same time this is my first ever dirt bike/enduro
Congratulations!! I bet you’ll have a great time at the classes. I want to do some ADV class days with my bigger bike. Have fun and thank you !!!
I rode in pretty much the same terrain last weekend on my KLX300 outside Phoenix in Tonto National Forest. I think the sand might have been even deeper in places! I was in 1st the whole way and just tractored along mostly under 10mph, lol. After about 2 miles it was all solid packed dirt for the other 5 miles and I didn't have to back track through the sand, thankfully! I have Kenda Tackmaster tires which are definitely better than stock for this. Have you watched any videos on off-road lessons? I watched the video series from Chris Birch and it's helped immensely. Sand is still really tricky!
Thanks for the comment and watching. I’ve watched quite a bit about sand but there’s no substitute for getting out there and applying the skills. Fun stuff. I’m looking at the Shinko cheater
@@milestogomoto Those Shinkos look like serious off-road tires. That will totally change the feel off-road. I think my next set will be Motoz Rallz. Heard they are super tough, can last over 5k miles doing both highway and off-road. The Kenda's are wearing down pretty fast.
Hi nice video..
Have you thought about a steering damper. I use one and it makes the job offroad so much easier.
Specially for sand riding.👍
Bye
Interesting. I’m gonna look into that for sure. Thanks !!!
which one fits the KLX300?
@@inrptn Hi, look to scottsonline there you find - listed for KLX 250- but it is the same.
Damper is a big help with heavy load on the back as well.
.. and I´m on Motoz tractionator since 9000km and still 9-10mm knobbies on it. 😊
Another good one Danny. How were the new gloves in the rough terrain?
Thanks man !! Loved the gloves. Little lighter weight and easier to move around in. Thanks for the support
