3DS Terraria is BROKEN (in the best way possible)

- Today I try out 3DS Terraria for the very first time! It was absolutely not what I was expecting...
Terraria on the 3DS was left unsupported after mobile and new-gen consoles moved to 1.3. So you can think of it as being stuck in the equivalent of version 1.2.4 on PC, with some differences here and there.
Alongside Ocram and other console-exclusive content, the 3DS also got mobile exclusives as well! Making it the perfect version for me to try out, to both relive the content I started with all those years ago, but also experience mobile exclusive content for the first time!
Drop a follow so you can catch it live next time!

Having over 750 hours in Terraria on the 3DS, I found the infinite heal trick only way after the 700th hour, which is still earlier than finding that you can *make* potions yourself, as I never thought about filling a bottle with water, thus never getting the recipes for potions... I had to wait for PC Terraria for that one.
How and why did you play so much 3ds terraria, insane
I played about 2000 hours in mobile terria pre all the extra stuff (normal game) updates, when crimson was added it was a game changer for replayability @@cultistclan6752
@@cultistclan6752probably a kid with limited options, I probably did like 300 hours of terraria mobile back in HS
Just wanted to tell you, I played ds as a kid and the drax dosent just spawn in shadow chests, it can spawn in literally any chest. I got it in a surface wood chest.
Two options. 1: He was a kid, and got it and played it then. As a kid, your options for games are pretty slim. You make as much fun as you can out of what little you get.
Or B: He was a Terraria Veteran/Mobile player, and thus wanted a nostalgia high. Because 3DS is forever outdated. Like, pretty sure its the only way to fight Ocram levels of outdated.
"If I still had my 3DS, I would have gladly gotten the game"
Fun fact: In older versions of the 3ds version of terraria, if you got a spear and held down the attack button, the spear would keep extending infinitely toward wherever you were aiming it allowing you to hit things really far away from you.
OOOOH i though that was a feature that they removed for being to op
poke the wall from safety
Wait fr?
There was a glitch on Xbox One that could do the same thing during 1.3, but patched in 1.3.1-4. selecting items with the d bad was broken, allowing items to be rapidly used in combination with the magic mirror, and weapons to shoot other weapons projectiles, vortex beater shooting meowmere cats being my favorite. This worked with spears too, but the other weapons were just way more broken compared to a long spear. Also, heart arrows stun LITERALLY EVERY ENEMY IN THE GAME EXCEPT FOR DUKE FISHRON
In more words, it was like the hit box would never disappear, and also never fully retract, so if you for example started attacking right, then then started attacking left without stopping attacking, an invisible spear hitbox would extend from your right from the first attack you did and from the left from your second attack, and every time your spear did its motion, those attacks would move further away from your character.
Theoretically you could have an invisible surrounding barrier of spear hurtboxes around you but it’d lag your game.
One oddity I found when I played this version recently, is the clockwork assault rifle is broken, like legitimately it’s broken, instead of being a burst that shoots 3 bullets, it shots like 30 a second, so it actually does like 2x the dps of the megashark.
I remember using the Clockwork rifle throughout my entire hardmode playthrough as a kid because of this. I thought I was remembering things wrong but no it turns out it actually was that good. Thank you for confirming that I'm not crazy.
@@Stibly yeah lol it carried me all the way to Golem it was so op
Switch Had that for a bit. The autoswing was busted and it was full auto.
Magic Dagger is really good as a result of this same thing. The Handgun, Phoenix Blaster and Venus Magnum end up being far more usable for the same reason. The Undertaker is still REALLY bad tho.
At one point, I wanted to see how quick I could kill the Eye of Cthulu with it, and managed to completely melt it in just a few seconds. Doing so much damage so quickly legitimately crashed the game as soon as it died. I remember the Clockwork Assault Rifle being busted in mobile version back then too, so yeah... interesting times.
This has me nostalgic not only for old terraria, but also for the ds era of nintendo. The dual screen layout was so useful for so many games. Even if a game didn't want to use it fully, it at least acted as a second monitor with a map or menu always up.
I still miss it
also loved when the games used dual screens creativly
Being able to use the second screen in various games for stuff like inventory or just tracking extra data you'd normally have to open a menu to see was great. Plus depending on what you were doing in games, having the touch screen allowed for more precise control than you'd normally have in PC or console games. It also allowed for a lot of inventive games that'd be a bit awkward to play with more normal controls, like Pokemon Ranger where you had to rapidly circle pokemon with the stylus.
have you seen the patents for the supposed switch 2? its looking like dual screens will be making a return
@rockman7005 I don't think those patents will actually become a final product
It's actually an idea they had toyed with for quite a while. There were GameCube games that could use the Game Boy Advance as a second (and third, fourth, fifth) screen. That was even planned to be a feature with the Game Boy Color and Nintendo 64, but never made it to release.
Not choosing mage was your undoing. Not only can you get Crystal Storm pre-hardmode, but razorpine’s projectiles were immune to gravity, making Fishron comically easy.
With the spectral armor too, you could tank the entirety of the pumpkin moon event
I remember when I was like 10, I was beating Fishron with heart arrows.
How do you get crystal storm pre hard??
@@choc1atech1p77Arch Demons have a chance of spawning in the underworld pre hard mode, and they drop crystal shards along with a rare chance for a crystal storm
@@youcantbeatk7006 Heart arrows didnt stun fishron
Something funny I remember from my time playing 3DS Terraria is that you can actually use a truffle worm in any body of water and it will spawn Duke Fishron, even if you aren't at the ocean
so like, even a tiny little puddle?
@@PizzaIsReallyGood yes, it js required you to press it on a full block of water i think.
I like how you're casually healing, just face tanking the destroyer.
That used to be the normal strat before they kept buffing the ol' worm!
That’s how it was on old mobile, very useful as a melee build
Fun fact: fighting multiple queen bees isn't a weird 3DS thing, that's just how terraria works if you find multiple larva, lol. I remember this because of another bug (probably a console one?) where the larvae would instantly break upon loading the world cause of a world gen mistake, summoning multiple queen bees the moment you start playing and killing you at spawn.
Heh, bug
sounds like a skill issue tbh, i could have easily killed them just saying
not a console specific one, just if the worldgen fucks up for any reason whatsoever and the larva breaks like that
i'd assume it's more common on console, though
It’s actually incredibly easy to reproduce this even in 1.4.4 without any bugs. Just make a Not The Bees world and go to the ocean.
I've been telling people that the 3DS version is very fun and I'm glad that someone is showing the good side of the 3DS version
Pre 1.3 pocket edition is a crack dream.
I loved every second of it.
@@General_C"pocket edition" is so funny to me idk why 😂😂
Ye
@@General_Cyou talking about Minecraft there dude😂
@@General_C it really was awesome
the reason for the drax being in shadow chests is that back when mobile released, there was a wall of flesh but there was no hardmode, so they sprinkled some hardmode things throughout the game, then i guess they forgot to remove it once hardmode actually got added
Also ocram was a thing before all the 1.2 content including plantera and golem, he's a final boss in a post mechs way
I swear I remember seeing a terraria all bosses video that was around the time before planetra & golem even existed, and since it wasn’t on consoles there was no ocram either it just ended with Skeletron Prime
i got two of them in one play through on my ipad
good old days
i too remember that mobile version when there wasn't any hardmode but Wall of Flesh still existed for some reason. If you compare it to the PC version, it was basically mixing some things from 1.1 (like WoF) while staying pre-1.1. Maybe some exclusive content existed but I don't remember any of it :|
I tried searching for this version on a wiki few years ago but couldnt find any match, so i just called it a day
edit: nvm just found it, ver. 1.1.92 on Google Play (Android) or older. On IOS it's 1.1.935 or older
The only issue i had with it was how, after a certain amount of progress, loading a world would crash the game
yeah, a new 3ds is pretty much required for it to be playable
I didn't have that issue, and I played on a 2DS. Shame that that happened.
Man I had a new 3ds and it still did this
Could never fight the Ocram or whatever it was called
@@zenithe7 usually just had that issue after beating plantera or golem
@@zenithe7Tbh I had same problem on 1.2 mobile version of the game. Everything was great, but killing ocean crashed the game.
So I wasn't going crazy, I remember getting the Drax pre hard mode in the jungle under the temple. I also got life fruits before the mech bosses, vampire knifes were OP along with spectral armour (the hood that gains HP for dealing damage) the damage I delt was crazy making me invincible
Edit: first played terraria on my iPad and I still have the original version with my world and can still fight Ocram
I had nights edge and a drax as my best weapons and could never beat wall of flesh bc I was too dogshit at the game
Spectral armor is probably the most broken set in the 3ds version. With a bubble gun, you can just stand still with 10+ bosses in either of the moon events and be perfectly fine.
@@TheyFrNamedMeBen welcome to the club
Same I’m pretty sure on console I got drax before hard mode bosses. I also wondered why I would craft any other pic after I got it
@@TheyFrNamedMeBeni was the exact same
Terraria Mobile is what I grew up on. Seeing the Drax in the shadow chests gave me so much nostalgia, I remember being a little kid and getting that drill and just tearing up the world
same
the best part of mobile is how due to some added stuff from later updates like duke fishron, pumpkin moon and frost moon it would be a tremendous challenge (duke fishron is downright a superboss, the events are brutal since even with the best items you'll be shredded if not careful, mostly on frost moon, ocram felt like a cakewalk in comparison)
@@reginangel_officialAnd the heart arrows on a shotbow just solos about everything, miss those times
I think the reason only Adamantite can be used to craft the summon is that there was a point where it was the only hard mode tier 3 ore that existed and the developers probably forgot to add titanium as an alternate for that one case
Yeah Palladium, Orichalcum, and Titanium were all added in 1.2, and Ocram was added way before then and never updated.
I had roughly 850 hours in 3DS Terraria. Those of us who grew up on this game were truly blessed.
we truly are terraria's most experienced veterans
as a 3DS veteran, i agree. wish my 3ds was still with me today.
I remember trying to beat the eye because I didn't know any other boss existed
It took me 50 hours to beat skeletron as a kid on mobile, probably had around 500 hours on it total, loved it so much
The zapinator required no mana on the 3ds so i used it alongside the spectre armor and never died. Also the lunar event music occasionally played and it scared the crap out of me.
lunar? 3ds stopped on 1.2 and the lunar events were added in 1.3
@@Roux_manthey decided to add 1.3 music for some reason
@@SpoiledMilk727 oh ok
I played this on Xbox as a kid with all my brothers on split screen. It was epic. We beat the wall of flesh with a diamond staff, a musket, and two minisharks. All I remember as far as mechs go is prime wouldn’t despawn and we just killed it in day rage mode. We struggled with plantera for a week until we discovered chlorophyte. Then we fought golem easily and finally fought ocram. It was honestly the best time I’ve ever played terraria and I miss it so much.
My brother and I would do the same stuff, this brought back memories
@@violator_ for real. Tbh that, Mario kart on the wii, and 360 Minecraft are my favorite times playing video games. Just because I did it with my brothers
😊
This is my favorite version of Terraria! I remember sharing pictures of my character having negative defense back on Miiverse at the time.
How did you get negative defense?
@Jedericdotzip iirc, it had something to do with the ichor debuff. I think the way me (and a lot of other people did it) was to get hit by ichor (or any debuff that reduces your defense), then go to the inventory and remove your armor (if you take your armor off first you’ll just die). Pretty fun oversight, although not too terribly useful.
I love Terraria
but the 3DS version ain’t it hahah
hi chippy :D
:(
I feel the same about mobile, I started with mobile but ever since playing on console/pc I can't go back lol

Terraria on the 3DS was my childhood, I have so much nostalgia for this version of terraria, I used the health potion exploit to beat the destroyer, that really brought back some memories, I remember being super excited about reforging my true nights edge to legendary, good memories!
It's my favorite era of Terraria packed together into a convenient cartridge that I can take anywhere. Peak Terraria.
10:30 this actually happened to me on a recent master mode hardcore run I did, was fighting queen bee with a mage setup, main weapon I used was gray zapinator, but then one of the lasers went through the walls at 100km per hour and managed to, somehow, hit another larva that, god knows where it was LOL (I lived btw, decent arena, buff potions and farming for a bezoar op)
i was playing expert mode hardcore and quit out after accidentally summoning queen bee and nearly dying, even though i was pretty much ready to fight the wall. potions and not getting stuck in honey really make the difference
Did you survive both of them?
@@eyeronthegamer I did say I lived, dodging is not so bad with a slime mount + amphibian boots with a double jump + shield of cthulhu, even if it's 2 bee queens
There was only 1 really close call in that run, and funnily enough that bee queen mess wasn't even close to killing the run;
In a solar eclipse I was kind of low health (less than 200, psychos deal more than that) and a psycho backstabbed me while I was focusing on a mothron, but the brain of confusion dodged that hit, saving the run from certain death (I thought that'd be interesting! Fully expecting the "no one asked" lmao)
@@kiwi_est I apologize for not reading it. Whoa, congratulations! And yes, slime mount is very good against Queen Bee while dodging because of its faster gravity acceleration compared to regular (the slime mount falls faster than the player)
Youre SUPER skilled at this game, congrats
11:49 My man didn’t know he disrespected lepus, the only boss that was definitely purely removed for being too hard.
Stun arrows are op in this version of the game. My siblings used to play it and I remember hearing them talking about farming for stun arrows to make plantera super easy because it COULD NOT MOVE AT ALL under constant fire of stun arrows
I now legitimately want a mod for terraria that just reverts it back to 3DS, complete with graphics and scuffed inventory system, maybe even two screens
20:03 YOU MISSED A JUNGLE KEY MOLD
This takes me back man, I have over a couple thousand hours on 3DS. The small world, and the glitches it all takes me back. Btw on the bottom right corner there's a fireflower from Mario and a bunch of other thing! My main complaint is that once the file get's too big the world corrupts but aye supper fun!
20:25 omg the nostalgia wave of the 3ds menu just hit
Fun fact: you can kill the dungeon guardian very easily in this version. Simply lure one out and spam heart arrows and he will die in around 10 minutes.
they keep spawning every time you enter lol but you can get that pet drop of him lol
You could also stack it with frost armor, for the effect it gives on arrows actually is the only thing in this version that isn’t affected by its defense
This is the Terraria I played for 2-3 years. My brother and I spent most of that time thinking the zombie arm was the best weapon in the game. Also took us way too long to figure out the lock-on thing.
Dude this brings back so much nostalgia because the very first version of terraria I had was this. It feels weird growing up with the least popular version and only a few years ago beginning to play on pc. I was so used to the controls it hurt to play on pc.
If someone were to want to do something like this, play it on emulator or on a new 3ds/2ds xl, it removes all the lag issues and the tiny c stick acts like the sniper scope does in the current game!
how the hell did you get terraria to run on citra?! it runs at like 15 fps for me? the only other game I play that lags citra that much is dark moon but that is normal, that game notoriously hard to emulate, also would you be interested in some multiplayer on the 3ds? I have a new 3ds xl with full CFW and have even done a few livestreams on with with bootntr and snickerstream.

Back in '79 Gung actually saved my life. At the time I was a starving artist struggling to make ends meet when I came across Gungnir Gungbert at a local park. I remember he said to me "DoocH, to avoid starving - you need to eat." Those words resonated with me. Ever since that day I found my art more vibrant than ever. Each stroke of the paint brush seemed deliberate rather than a passing whim. Gung taught me that even I can sell my art to billionaires so they can donate it to museums and get tax write-offs. Thank you Gungnir, I will never go hungry again.
Yoooo

No way! Dr. G. Gungbert helped me solve my identity crisis! He must really be a stand up guy.
what a guy, i sure hope he could use such talent to find a jungle key mould
I have so many memories with this version. One of my favorite was getting two frozen key molds in a row while I was looking for ice golems to get the frost set. And in my base, I have a room that I’m trying to fill with all the 3ds exclusive content. When I go in, the frames drop. Must be all the mannequins.
1:02 What is so sad is that old mobile before it was 1.3 HAD controls more like the 3ds and were very intuitive and easy to use!
I played on those controls and I could basically never use healing potions because I would have to take my left hand off of the movement stick, go to the hotbar, select potions, use the potions, go back to whatever I was holding, and then start moving again. You’re going to be taking more damage than you’re healing in that time. Also the quick buff button is great, and, although I’ve never played mage on mobile, I could only imagine how nice the mana potion button is, because you’d have to do that same process with mana potions. There were two classes on mobile 1.2 and they were melee and ranged (1.2 summoner was a joke, and throwing barely existed).
I remember playing Terraria with my little bro and beating ocram for the first time. We loved the dragon armor and I remember the souls of blight. I would love to be able to relive those memories.
This is fantastic. Was waiting for someone to make a high quality video on this version.
Fun fact: terraria on wii U allows you to play with a wii remote and nunchuck. From what I remember you had to press + and - to cycle between inventory slots

I remember the fond days of playing 1.2 on my ipad. Unfortunately, we never were able to get to Ocram, but I still have many fond memories.
I remember my old base, I had to abandon it due to the update turning it into a graveyard
oh my goodness yes. I was so sad when it got updated to 1.3 and my many hours of work getting me and my brother ocram gear got deleted and turned into clorophyte gear that we already had sets of.

My old modded 3ds xl started acting weird and not reading extended memory games recently so I bought a “new” version xl and modded it. Recently I started playing a bunch of 3ds remasters on switch before I realized I was just missing my 3ds. I was 18 when the first ds hit the markets so I spent my 20s playing DS and 3DS. I still love the way they feel when you hold them. The games for DS and 3DS are just so good. Playing through b2/w2 and US/UM, Terraria, world ends with you, Rune Factory 4… just so so good.
The memories of trying for *weeks* to beat the Eye of Cthulu, being genuinely afraid of trying but thinking I could finally beat it on Christmas day with my golden armour and bow, only to essentially stand still for the entire fight and miss like 80% of my shots - I thought he moved a lot back then, now I can somewhat reliably hit him while he's charging in expert mode lol - while not even being able to tank the hits and subsequently dying... Man, I was really bad at the game back then 😅. Eventually managed to make it all the way into hardmode but only beat the Twins before dropping the game altogether iirc. This video gave me so much nostalgia I might even revisit it to finally kick Golem's butt and beat it once and for all. I think I'll have a better chance than 10-year old me, but the controls sadly won't have changed lmao.
20:02 Also kinda painful seeing him ignore the jungle key mold, but he didn't need it so I guess it doesn't matter lol.
"I made a quick farm for turtle shells and also got an Uzi."
Most normal Terraria sentence.
This is the first version of terraria i ever played, and I am just now realizing how many things about the game were broken.
Dude just casually gets a lucky uzi drop without intentionally farming for it. I don't know if I've EVER gotten an uzi in any of my regular Terraria playthroughs even with farming
This brings me way back to the 360 version of terraria. 1.2 was so much fun, especially when you were first learning how to do everything for the first time
I used to play 3ds Terraria a ton as a kid, and I remember how i encountered a strange bug where not only did the hallowed chest spawned in the portion of the dungeon before the cavern layer (so the dungeon guardians couldn't kill me), it was also unlocked for some reason? So i was able to sequence break and get the rainbow gun in pre hardmode and absolutely shred everything

I really like how life fruit looked in this update, instead of being just a reskin of hearts it acts like some sort of shield which looks much cooler to me.

The UI is definitely really good for what they had to work with. I actually got someone to make a mod to have the NPC home banners always visible like they are in this version. The "new recipe unlocked" message was helpful for newbies too.
The “New recipe unlocked” message helped me a bit through early game. They should bring it back.

"Dude why am I actually enjoying the 3DS version of this game" bro that was me with the mobile version when Amazon gave it away. I got it just cause it was free, didn't really expect to enjoy it much because I'm not super into playing games on a touchscreen, but MAN did I have fun with that game.
Man, heart arrows were so broken, on old mobile I used them to farm Dungeon Guardians like 4 at a time. And with Destroyer, you have to hit him in the head to freeze him, it was pretty good though. And on Destroyer, his contact damage being way weaker than his probes was why Melee was really good for fighting him. You'd get a Drax, get your Chlorophyte, make a Claymore and melt him.
Old Mobile was truly a gem, also Crimson was super rare at one point for worlds to spawn with, and same for the alternate Hardmode ores
There was also a point where on character creation they gave you 50 of all the base ores (up to gold and platinum), so you could farm infinite of them by just making new characters.
Also Lepus and Turkor were insane for pre-hardmode bosses. Turkor has more health than WoF, and Lepus can basically lock you into a VERY long (potentially infinite if you're stubborn) fight. Though Lava deals with it well.
And man, the Tizona was always a fun weapons, as well as the Tonbogiri and all the old weapons and armours. And I miss all the old alternate enemies, like the Arch Wyvern, the Hornet alternative and the Orca
Oh also being able to use a chest so long as it appears on your screen (you know, given the touch screen), also touch controls for placing and mining blocks makes a lot of sense...
Spit facts 😂
I loved how the tonbogiri hit through walls and the tizona was the king of true melee. Back in the day I played on phone and ipad, and the ipad was so much better because you had a massive screen and access to all 10 hotbar slots, phone only had 5.
My favorite build was tiki armor with the twins summon and vp knives cause whips weren't a thing.
Most of all, I miss the countless glitches wether intentional or not. Like the taking items out of a chest at the same time, or infinitely spawning chests, or even when you got the 1000th platinum coin and accidentally put it with a stack of 999 platinum coins, you got a plain singular falling star.
This is such a throwback to how the final bosses were ocram and duke fishron. Maybe we could also get the events like frost and pumpkin moons.
I played this version a TON with my 3 younger siblings through local multiplayer. Some of the best times I've had.
Thanks Gungir for your videos, always a treat when you upload!
I remember fighting the turkey boss during thanksgiving on my iPod touch 💀
I loved the key molds, it felt good to have them already so you could get vampire knives way easier
This was my first version of terraria and this convinced me to pick it back up 8 years and 2000 hours of Terraria later
There was a glitch on the first versions where if you take the Twins to the top of the map, if they went passed the world limit, they would despawn, so if you "deleted" one of them then took down the other, it would count as defeating both so it made them by far the easist hard mode boss.
I love how it has both the console and mobile exclusive items and bosses.
So this os the main way ive learned terraria and its very strange going from this broken mess to 1.4 on pc. Terraria will always be amazing no matter how broken it might be.
I always thought the old backpack for the inventory was a bear
This is such a great video for me, I ended up getting almost 2000 hours on 3ds terraria back in the day. Endless new worlds and characters, so many playthroughs. Thank you for the nostalgia Gungnir😌
Its worth mentioning that the version 3DS is on is a version before the spectral armorset recieved a damage nerf for the hood, meaning you deal full damage with the hood, as opposed to (like, -40%?) less. So you heal about 10% of the damage you're dealing (a lot)
Just saying, the reason why the there were specific recipes for the summons, weapons, and armor was because cobalt, mythril, adamantite were the original in the phone and ds versions, the other ores were added later on but the recipes were not updated.
Fun thing I found out in my playthrough. After defeating just one mech boss, it's possible to get the Terra Blade as Broken Hero Swords drop from Swamp Things in this version. You can also keep exiting and reentering the game right before morning to reroll until you get a solar eclipse.
Hopefully in 1.4.5 or any coming updates they bring back old 3ds and console content
Very unlikely considering the poor quality of the old gen content
@@manachromeYTThat and the fact that the console-exclusive content was added by 505Games and not the Terraria devs. Not to mention how the Lephrechaun Pet is literally an early-game money exploit, and the other pets function the same as what are now summoner minions.

18:27 Back when I used to play older version Terraria on Mobile/IOS (Cus 3DS shared pretty much the same content), the biome chests never appeared in Dungeon and I always thought that was normal. They only ever appeared in their respective biome for whatever chest they were (e.g Jungle, Corruption, Frozen). The only chests that were ever in Dungeon were locked Gold chests for some unthinkable reason.
Thank you for this video) it reminded me of how I started playing terraria from the old mobile version. I haven't played 3ds, but I played until version 1.2.4 on my phone. It was broken the same way 😁 I hacked biomic chests with a pine block, without molds for keys and the keys themselves)) Vampire knives conquered everything. I also loved fishing. And I remember that I could catch a lot of boxes and save them, and open them in hardmode. In this way, I had both armor and the ability to summon an okram. When I was upset with the new mobile version , because it was no longer so convenient to play, the original things were removed. I was very fond of the leprechaun, which could be bugged in the door and dropped coins endlessly. I loved all the exclusive bosses and still miss them. Sorry for my bad English, I'm writing with a translator)
In older versions of 3DS terraria there was a exploit where if you rapidly click L and R to swap your weapons it would cancel the animation of the weapon you are using
so for example you could use the boomstick or shotgun and rapidly shoot while canceling the long end lag animation to destroy bosses
It is still possible to do this glitch however now you need to use the touch screen
I dont remember exactly (because it has been multiple years) but i think it was either swap weapons rapidly or you needed to swap to the map and back to spam shoot the weapon
8:45 thats just the magic of the 3ds and hendhelds in general. i dont like vids going in a handheld game to trash on it because "handheld clunky controls bad visuals bad, handheld baaad" but im suprised you came around to it. thank you.
Did bro miss the jungle key mold at 20:03
I know it'll never happen but I seriously want the console exclusives to come back to modern Terraria. As someone who's only ever played the console version, both old and modern now, this video brings back so many memories. Ocram was such a cool boss and the seasonal bosses are great ideas and fun challenges for early game.
And to think that this is the version that I got my start with Terraria in.
I love that the Holy Hand Grenade uses the Worms style “HALLELUJAH” right before it explodes.
As much as i would love 1.4 on 3ds i love how its a time capsule.
It was my first ever terrarria experience and i still enjoy it
Ah, so many nostalgic features. Such as the drax pre-hardmode, that old classic terraria look, and the inability to place anything in the spot you want it
Mobile/3ds terraria was such a vibe man. Good times
Aw that old crafting menu made me nostalgia all over the place
I still play the 3ds version super often, and it makes me happy seeing someone bigger give it some love! It's personally my favourite version!
hover a bolder over a table or bench and see a funny
The spectre armor is completely busted on the 3DS version, it heals you so quickly and you don't have decreased magic damage with it, you pretty much can't die with that armor
As someone who got Terraria on the 3ds back in 2017 used on game stop it's nice. Though I never could find a way to break it. I just compiled it up to Golam did try to fight Fishron but was impatient to find the worm. Maybe I'll return to it.
What a shockingly relevant video for me to find lol, I haven't played it in a while but that's the only version of Terraria I own
Honestly the 3DS edition to me is like the definitive old gen version. Old mobile stuff, old console stuff, classic zapinator; plus a bunch of fun jank. And I just really enjoy the controls, I swear nothing has beat it's lock-on system.
my first terraria experience was a 3ds gameplay even seeing the layout here is nostolgic
Hello!
I still play Terraria on the Ps3 regularly!
And the Sharanga can take you all the way to Plantera and even a little farther.
Also the Molitov cocktail is broken, especially if your using frost armor.
I miss 3ds terraria. I spent countless hours playing terraria 3ds with my friends over weekends and summers and during road trips, I’m on my way to college and have upgraded to switch and now play terraria on switch.
I love Terraria on the 3DS and Switch. I actually just beat the Moon Lord for the first time yesterday on my Switch!
Ah… the days of getting the Drax before wall of flesh and using Lepus to farm the crimson key mold with a pool of lava.
Me and my brother spent hours playing this version together trying to get all the rare items and finding exploits. Good times.
Fun Fact before an update that came out on 3ds. There used to be very little to no item swap usage delay so you could indefinitely swap between weapons with no delay. So with 10 godly Sharkron flails. You could make a mass bubble beam of extremely high damage in that version (and add vampire knives to heal as well)
This video gives me nostalgia for something I've never experienced.
My first terraria experience absolutely loved this growing up
