    Great content!
    I also prefer the Beechlane levelers as well but I bought a different model.
    The set I bought actually had two pieces for each ramp. A 3" and a 1" piece.
    If you need less than 3" of leveling, don't use the 1" part and the leveling is more precise.
    Either way, it's a great product.

    I went with the Anderson simply because they are red. I used to work around aircraft and the chocks always have high contrast colors to prevent accidents. Someone also mentioned they are easier to see so they don’t get left behind.

      Love it!! I think youll be happy with them. The high contrast is exactly why I went with beech lane 🤣

    I have the Anderson. But that’s what the dealer had where I bought my RV. Mine came with square blocks to put under the jacks and a nylon bag to carry them. Love their ease of use.

    We have been using the beach lane ones for 4 years, used many times as we have been to 150 campgrounds in 4 years. Save money and get the beach lane ones, so far ours have worked perfectly even in some really challenging situations. I never use the rubber Matts i carried them around for two years but never used then, now in storage. Red color is better, less likely to leave them behind at the campsite. Larry

      hahaha - and I like the black over the red for the exact opposite reason! Either version - these ramp levelers are well worth having!

    The red ones are harder to drive off and leave behind cuz you can see them better.

    Do you know where the 4” is achieved on the Anderson’s? I feel like I’m going to roll completely over them to get the middle of my tire centered over that last and highest circle opening on the leveler. I can’t find this answer anywhere online.

    • @rvgearandfar
      @rvgearandfar  10 месяцев назад

      The 4” is the size of the tallest part of the wedge- so yes, it would need to be just about centered under the middle of your tire. I completely get the feeling and Ive even rolled over them before trying to get to the max. Something we’ve also done is use the ramps on top of leveling blocks - using the rubber grip mat, to gain more than 4” of rise. There is a clip in the video showing that. Definitely not advisable by either manufacturer, but we’ve done it successfully more than once. Definitely don’t do it without the rubber grip mats. If you don’t have those you can find some on Amazon

    I'm sorry if this sounds stupid, I'm very new to this and I'm interested in getting these levelers/choks, but I'd like to know, could these also act as tire cushions so my tires don't get flat spots? Thank you for the video! 😊

    • @rvgearandfar
      @rvgearandfar  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hiya! No, unfortunately these would not cushion tires or prevent flat spots.

    How do they work in sandier places like east coast shore towns or in New Jersey?

    • @rvgearandfar
      @rvgearandfar  2 месяца назад

      I've not personally used them on the beach - but I have used them in sandy soil locations and haven't had any issues. I have also used them on top of the lego block or pieces of wood to make an even bigger footprint which might be helpful in a sandy situation. I doubt any manufacturer will suggest that and I'm also not suggesting you do that, but rather sharing what I've done in the past - definitely utilizing the rubber mats inbetween so its not plastic on plastic and therefore increased the friction and lowers the potential of slipping while getting up on the ramps.

      Yes, only a handful of times - you can see one instance in the video where we laid down the orange interlocking blocks in a row and the laid the rubber beech lane mats on top of those then used the ramp levelers.
