You can put marks on the tape measure for your slide outs and awning. It’s a quick and easy way to make sure you’ve left enough room for each before unhitching the trailer.
That hitch grip will be in my next Amz order. Because those coiled brake cables are dynamic, it can be difficult to know when it will pull out and trip the trailer brakes. The trailer could be hanging by the chains with the coil stretched but not enough to trigger the brakes. I bought 2 of them and never used them once I worked through the potential for damage vs the trouble of the static line.
I bought the hitch handle immediately. I didn't even know that was a thing. Thanks! I also want to know where you bought the rack that allows you to store your hitch on the tongue of your RV. Did you rig that yourself, or is it a product?
I’ve been looking at the hitch grip for a while now, I think that’s my next purchase. I noticed you have a hitch holder on your tongue. I didn’t know they commercially made them, I made my own last year, and I love it. No more dragging that heavy anti-sway bitch around!
I made my own too, here's a video ruclips.net/video/Ewgfz8BOhOs/видео.htmlsi=UAsNeJtuw1aFTBkt There are a few commercially available ones such as EZStor: ezstorhitch.com/ HitchPort: hitchport.com/
The night lights look really nice! Another gadget I have for my RV that I love is my HomeFi router. I've been able to travel all over the US through remote areas and stay connected to the internet!
I have that tape measure. However, my job required I use metric. I swapped the blade from a 6' Milwaukee. I would LOVE if DeWalt would make a metric version.
Yeah, I am replacing all of my baseboards in my house. If you don’t like the metric system before doing finish carpentry you are going to undergo a rapid conversion. I need a good metric tape, I think I’ll go the the fancy hardware store and get a Milwaukee since the chain stores don’t have what I want.
The infrared thermometer is an excellent tool alongside the TMPS sensor. I'm curious what bearing temp are we looking for in a travel trailer? The high for PSI is 158. Thanks
Both of those numbers are going to depend on YOUR specific rig and setup - if my travel trailer tires got to 158 psi they would probably be in pieces - what I'm looking for in the bearing temps is that all four are roughly similar - that one wheel isn't super hot compared to the rest - but you can also just record the temps over several days travel and get an average range that you'r setup runs in.
Thank you so much. I just wanted to let you know that you answered our question. We have 2506 S Rockwood Mini Lite. I bought the infrared thermometer for our upcoming trip, 16 K.
@3:59… after an accident how likely do u think that tool behind the mirror will remain in place? I put odds around 5%. That sucker will fly off so fast you’ll probably get smacked in the face with it.
Not any more likely than flying off the keychain. That's ok - this piece of gear might not be for you. I'm curious to know which solution for emergency escape you prefer - love learning new ways!

You can put marks on the tape measure for your slide outs and awning. It’s a quick and easy way to make sure you’ve left enough room for each before unhitching the trailer.
Great addition and tactic!
Great job! This is the best tips needed for RV must haves I have seen yet! Thank you!
Wow! Thanks - glad you found it helpful!
I EDC a small tail clicker flashlight that normally takes a single AAA. I put in the higher voltage 10440 battery for a much brighter output.
Any idea if that higher output will reduce the bulb lifespan?
100% on the Hitch Grip. Bought one a few years ago and will never go back to manhandling my weight distribution hitch again !
Its a unitasker - but totally worth it
That hitch grip will be in my next Amz order. Because those coiled brake cables are dynamic, it can be difficult to know when it will pull out and trip the trailer brakes. I made it out of steel tubing. You can buy commercial versions too - look up EZSTOREHITCH and HITCHPORT

The night lights look really nice! Another gadget I have for my RV that I love is my HomeFi router. I've been able to travel all over the US through remote areas and stay connected to the internet!
Connectivity can be super important - especially if you're out for more than a weeklong vacation.
Been looking for a good spatula. Picked it up yesterday. Thanks!
We love ours!
I purchased the hitch grip and it saves a lot of back ache.
Agreed - its truly a unitasker - but makes moving the weight distribution hitch around SO much easier!
You have a great channel, I've enjoyed it much. I like how honest your content is and very informative. Keepem coming 👍
I appreciate that! Thank you.
I have that tape measure. However, my job required I use metric. I swapped the blade from a 6' Milwaukee. I would LOVE if DeWalt would make a metric version.
Agreed - I would love the combo imperial/metric sided tapes!

Good stuff all!
Happy camping! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment ◡̈
10 of 10 nailed it.
Well done
Thanks!
I like the liquefied and unique, and those are the ones I normally use.
Both great products!
Nice, I couldn't believe I had (or similar) almost everything on the list in my RV. Keep the videos coming.
Oh nice! Which item do you use the most often?
Laser temperature monitor is a great suggestion.
Very handy agreed!
Thank for the truthful sign off of “Happy Camping”! Its is 1000 times better than the traditional LIE of “See you next time.”.
Eh- see you next time isn’t a lie - the plan is to see you on the next video ◡̈
My old school Milton tire gauge doesn't need batteries. 😁
Noice!!!
Fantastic Video! Very Helpful. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Can you show your tote tank storage?
Video will be coming soon! Stay tuned.

What is your tow vehicle? I see it’s a Ram, but I can’t tell what model.

What size wildwood is that and what year? I have a 2017 28dub
2018 30KQBSS
🚐 Great stuff! We recently shared our top picks for RV parts and accessories. If you’re looking for some new ideas, give it a look. 🌟
You mean the video where you stole @CamcoManufacturing product videos and had a computer voiceover? no thanks, I'll pass.
everybody must have a knife all them at all times.
not a big, even a grandpa knife is good.
i have a holster ( band of knives i think is the manf) but it holds a multi tool, a mag two -AA- cell light, and a pen).
everybody i know, says i have a lose screw.
noise maker. i have a c-pap for that.
there should never be any grease anywhere on a ball hitch, dirt and grit sticks to grease. and grinds thing up.
yes up grade the breakaway cable. it should be at least five times stronger than the part it pulls out of the trailer.

I don't like the the magnetic puck lights. They have fallen off as we have driven done the road.
We've driven with these for probably close to 10,000 miles and haven't had them fall off ◡̈
What's that hitch storage hanger holder that we see at 10:18 ? What is it called?
Here's more details on that - its a diy project but there are some commercial options as well: ruclips.net/video/Ewgfz8BOhOs/видео.html
@@rvgearandfar that is pretty neat, thanks for the link !
Your videos are great…but they cost me so much money!!
hahaha - you don't have to BUY everything - I like testing, so I get to share, but we don't all need everything - restraint ;P
