I bought a new Forest River Vibe from Camping World. I had most of the essentials before with my old camper. Some of the high dollar items can be added in to the cost of the camper “out the door” cost. I racked up $4k worth of extras on top of the camper price. It doesn’t sting so bad if you extend it out over several years.

I might suggest putting the water regulator before the filter as some of these water filters can not handle anything higher than 60 psi such as the Clear2O filter. I discovered this after getting the new 10 micron stage 1 filter.
Also, try a 90 degree water connector with a shutoff. I have found this very helpful at times where I can shut off city water as I am flushing my black tank to get full pressure during the flush out.

Consider a lock for your power protector. Dog bone is also handy when the 30 amp socket is defective but they have a good 50 amp socket next to it. Worked for me😊

You mentioned the JumpPak to jump your tow vehicle if needed. I suggest looking at some that are built with a compressor. If you don't have power, using this battery-powered compressor will be easier than the hand pump. Even if it doesn't fill the tire completely, any help is better than needing to do it all by hand.

Hughes autoformer is the best one for sure. Especially because you can replace the inside unit if it sacrifices itself. More bang for your book. Although it's not essential, a digital thermostat is a must in our situation. We got the micro air easy thermostat. You get better control of your ac and with Wi-Fi you can have alerts if it gets too hot or too cold inside. We're at our 4th year camping and with videos like these it feels like I've been doing it for 10. Thanks

Just right off the bat - I carry my drill with the bit for the jacks, but, when i bought the drill I also got a SAWZALL. I bought a pair of PRUNING BLADES for it. You would NOT believe how handy that has become. I've cut firewood, I've cut panels in my RV so I could install or fix something. Heck. I just cut stuff to cut stuff to whittle. ;-) ... Just don't cut a down tree that has a yellow jacket nest in it like my buddy did. hahahaha. A DeWalt Bit set, and Drill Bit Set are VERY handy as they have the square bits and the star bits in them. Other than that - you covered about everything I carry. Have a great time out there and see ya on the road.

We have the Hughes voltage booster because the power in our camp ground sucks. The only other thing I can think of that you didn't include, unless I missed it, is spare gaskets for the sewer hose connections. We've had a couple dry out on us and have had leaks at the connections.

Great video! Another item I have added to my RV is pool noodles! I cut a slit down the length of each noodle and push them across the top edge of my slide until the whole length is covered (Took 2.5 noodles) so when my awning is down it is not rubbing against the top edge of slide causing possible wear and tear over time and keeps my awning in great condition😊

For a jump pack I would recommend jump and carry. They have a small one that I keep with me and it can jump anything even diesels. It’s smaller than your surge protector. It also has a warranty which is usually rare for these jump packs

I love your videos. So much information and all useful. Along with everything you mentioned I would like to add some safety tips. A safety vest and triangles are great, (being a retired trucker, I carry mine), but you can also carry Red Flashing LED Breakdown lights that you can mount to your truck or trailer. Most are magnetic and most have hooks so you can hang them from your rear ladder or somewhere else if you don't have a ladder on your rig.
I also carry a Battery powered weather radio for those times when power goes out for whatever reason. Great for tracking storms coming your way.
Lastly, I carry a battery powered, hand-held VHF Marine radio but I actually have a 12v VHF radio in the 5th wheel and in my tow vehicle. Don't let the name fool you. It's not just used on a boat anymore. Lots of hunters, and Game Wardens, use VHF radio for communicating with each other. It has a "line of sight" reception/transmit, meaning it has a reception range of almost 26 miles. Of course, a battery powered unit will reduce the reception/transmit distance, but it will also work as a weather warning system when needed.
Thanks again for all your videos. Keep up the great job you are doing for all of us. See ya on the road.

Excellent job at creating this video. I’ve watched this video more than once and took note both times.
I added double sided mounting tape. Recommend how to use Pex crimpers and maybe add Pex tubing cutter, strait union and 90degree elbow. My flush mechanism developed a leak while on the road and had to stop in and buy a shut off valve to put in line.
I have watched at least 15-20 of your video in the last 3 days. Always well done and informative. Thank you b

Last October I picked up a 2018 Forest River Rpod 179 Hood River edition with 3 100watt solar panels up top, 4 6volt deep cycle batteries on the front with a Xantrex HFS2055 2000watt inverter. It has the Thule awning and the trailer is in beautiful condition. Got it for 10,000 dollars. Can not wait for camping season. Been a tent camper all my life and at 50 it's getting less enjoyable to sleep on the ground. Looking forward to glamping at some of our wilderness sites here in northern California.

Great video... concerning all water connections, I use brass quickconnects fittings (outlets on Y-connector, outlet end on 90° elbow, city water and black tank connectors, etc)... it is just faster and works great!!! Also, I have changed the plastics city water and black tank connectors for brass models which are available on Amazon... no more flood in the basement since then!!!
