My husband got me one for Christmas and I love it so much, I've literally not used any other hair tool apart from my straighteners a couple of times since getting it. Everyone comments on how nice my hair looks all the time now, it is veeeryyy pricey, and if he hadn't have bought me it, I don't know if I would have bought it myself, but I do love it xx

I’m so jealous! Does your hair easily hold curls? I love my air wrap for simple drying my hair, but I just can’t get the curls or volume to last.
@@s.p5254 I'm getting more used to it now, I struggled when I first got it, but if I use the thin barrels then it holds better, it goes a bit wild and big, but definitely lasts longer than the thicker barrels. I do end up with more of a blow dried look rather than curls, but definitely clip and use the cold blast and you should notice a difference x

Cosmetologist here! An affordable product I swear by thats been around for years and years is the paul mitchell sculpting foam. Helps set the shape but isnt hard and is totally brushable and soft. 11/10!

For me, I also use the same methods but then I also go back and use the barrels after using the round brush to smooth my hair. My curls/waves can last for 3 or 4 days if I put in that time and effort on my weekly hair day.
The biggest issue I have is that after only having mine for 5 months, I've had to clean the filter 3x for it to work again and I only use mine one a week...
I contacted Dyson and they advised me to go to their stores and have it looked at. I probably should do that because I may have a defective filter 🤷♀️
If you decide to get a travel bag for it, I would love to see which one!

I absolutely love mine. I have really thick straight hair - I’ve bought the longer barrels in both widths and they work much better!! I’d love to get a “blow out” look with the round brush but I can’t do it. I use mine every time I wash my hair. It just feels better!

I bought one and love it even though I haven’t mastered it quite yet. Couple of things: 1) they sell a long barrel total package now (the one I bought) 2) the customer service department is really good and if you call and explain the round brush clip issue… they may send you a replacement at no cost (they’ve done that for me with my other Dyson products) 3) will definitely try the clip technique
You should try the new ColorWow XL Bombshell mousse! I used to love and swear by the b&b Surf Foam Spray but the ColorWow is my new holy grail!! It de-frizzes and holds the curls so well and it literally feels like you’ve got zero product in your hair! 💕

I bought one recently and I felt guilty when I ordered it because of the price. But when I started using it, it was love at first sight. It is the only way to manage my short hair (which I had cut impusively and I regretted immediately) and make it decent. Pricey AF but, in my opinion, totally worth the hype.

Aww yay!! After years of iffing and ahhing, I finally bought my airwrap and got it last week! I got mine from QVC, and it was the complete long barrel set, which was actually the same price as the original shorter barrel set 🤩 I love it, and am always watching people's videos using theirs! I pinned mine up from the first time I tried it, after watching all your dyson videos of course!

@@meagandrake2374 hi, yes I do! I've only used any other type of heat tool once (last week) since I've had the dyson, and that was just so it lasted a lot longer cus it was a special occasion, but yes I love it. I use the curling barells the most, it's so much kinder to my hair 💖

It all comes down to expectations really I think, I'd say if you just want it to straighten and curl your hair then just use what you already have, but if you want something that will dry your hair and also give body and volume and a true blow dry look at the same time then go for it!

I absolutely love my airwrap and have not regretted buying it. You can book a demo appointment at dyson stores where they style your hair with it and show you how to use it properly etc if you want to test it first before purchasing

I love my Dyson so much! My curls last longer with this than with hot rollers (can’t use a curling iron to save my life). After 24 hours,my curls dropped a little,but I didn’t use any holding products so yeah,I think it’s pretty good. I have fine thin hair and my hair never looked this good.

The difference between the two similar brushes is that one of them is a Firm smoothing brush and the other is a Soft smoothing brush!
The firm one "Creates a straighter style with less frizz and fewer flyaways."
The soft one "Creates a smooth, straighter style. With soft, ball tipped bristles engineered to be gentle on the scalp."
So for your use, you’d probably enjoy the one without the ball tips because of your issue with frizz and flyaways 😇

Just dropping a tip for you to get the flicky blowdried situation... What I have found to get that style is to hold your brush diagonally as you blow-dry your hair.

I have the Dyson straightener and to be honest is not great, too heavy and battery doesn’t last. But I like that it doesn’t damage my hair as much since I straighten my hair pretty much daily. This seems so much better! Thank you very much!

My hair drops after about an hour too but I never thought about using clips!!! I’m going to try this now hehe
It took a few attempts to get the hang of it but I love my airwrap. I have thin, fine hair so I use a volumising cream, the ghd curl hold spray and oil and hair spray after styling! For me I don't pin the curls up but wrap the curl around my finger while it's still hot then don't touch again until it's completely cooled. I always use a wide tooth comb to brush through my cooled down curls too. I'm rubbish at styling hair and always get so many compliments when I use it and my hairdresser said the condition of my hair has definitely improved since using it over other styling tools so for me it was definitely worth the investment 🥰

Recently I moved out from America to Europe and left allllll my hair tools to my mother. I bought the Dyson Airwrap as a way to replace all of them (hair dryer, straightener and curler) and that way is the only way I could say it has been worth my money as I would've never in a million years justify 500 dlls for a hair tool but I'm glad I did, it works wonder my hair is so much healthier now and curls onmy hair last, straight hair stays that way and I never use any hair product, I'm in love with my airwrap who would've thought 😆
I have a Babyliss Keratin Air Styler that comes with 3 attachments nozzle and 2 round brushes like 7:18 . It was only £24 in Argos. I love it so much. After you get the hang of the technique to use it, it gives a bouncy blow out or curly look and shiny too !! Super cheap and I would say a good dupe for a dyson one imo.

I think you should try to take horizontal sections instead of vertical… around the time stamp 12:42 for you, you took a section that’s vertical up on your head… and since our hair lays best together in like horizontal sections, I bet your curls would stay more and “group together more” if you took more of a natural section (horizontal) that your hair would lay in….. also I think you should try and continuously roll the brush as you’re drying it, so for example when you use the round brush attachment, you know how you keep grabbing from the tips and roll back, grab from the tips- roll back, grab from the tips roll back and so forth? Kinda do the same thing with the wands!! That way it continuously is forced to that shape, along the entire “shaft” of the strand. I really hope that makes sense lol! And honestly… just take smaller sections! And maybe experiment more with the thicker barrel that came in the original kit! I own this as well but I purchased the longer barrels as well but in the THICKER size… idk I’d try experimenting more! Cause I’ve now seen both your videos about this and I don’t want you to give up hope that the curls will fall haha! And also maybe try pinning the curls more to your actual HEAD instead of having them hang, cause then too much weight is on them, so clip the duck bill clip to the hair on your head more!!! Love your videos, you’re so cute!!! 💕💕

I have it, doesn't worth the price. totally overpriced finally somebody that is honest about it.
I think it depends, for someone who loves to do their hair everyday and put in the effort but doesn’t want extreme heat damage, I think yes. However for someone who doesn’t do their hair everyday, doesn’t care about heat damage, or doesn’t have the time to learn how to use it, no. I got mine and I LOVE it. I also love doing my hair everyday, love learning how to use it, and love how it makes my hair feel. So it was worth it for me, but again it’s not worth it for everyone.
I really like the Cantu wave whip as a non sticky mousse. It's really affordable, does the job well, and it smells amazing
I was so against getting an air wrap but I eventually caved and have not looked back. There is a learning curve but it is the ONLY hair tool I use. I have so much hair it used to take me 1+ hours to do it and with the air wrap it takes like 20 minutes. I HIGHLY recommend
