What I like about dyson is that they make things compatible with previous models. Their mantra is that you use their products for life and don’t have to change it every year.
Oh good that's what I was worried about since I'd just like the new attachment since I already own everything else.

Can you imagine the outrage if ppl had to keep spending £££ just to get a newer version of the same product because they didn’t want to make it compatible with the older version
I really with they would add a bigger oval brush though, the small one isn’t great in that regard, at least for me that is. It would be so much nicer for longer hair.
Maybe for hair, NOT SO for their vacuums!!!
@@AmiAki this is probably one of the contributing factors to Clarisonic going out of business - they did exactly what dyson doesn’t do.
Loved this video! So helpful to know which attachments to upgrade to. Really happy they didn't change the way it attaches so you can use these on the original 🙌🏼

I wish Dyson would sale the unit and let choose the attachment we want to purchase. Not everyone needs or wants them all . Also it would make it more affordable.

If you buy it through Dyson's site you can customize it with the most relevant attachments depending on your hair type.
@@deaf-metal I can’t figure out how to do this, the website is a mess :( I did the quiz but it just spits out the Complete set and doesn’t let you customize which attachments you get. Also the new 2-way barrel isn’t on the site.
@@y.a.4464 I believe you might have to play around with your quiz answers to get it to give you different options but it looks like many of them are out of stock.
The new version hasn't been released in all markets yet, so that's why the 2 way barrels aren't on the US site.

@@mar_yam154 from what I've seen all attachments should work with all airwrap versions. So you should be golden

@@sangeeta997 you know there will be people who have the original that will go out and buy it just cause it is the newest version even though it's just the attachments that have changed. So I imagine a fair few second hand ones will come up also.

The body (the actual) device hasn't changed as such, it's the attachments. Which will be available to purchase individually or in a kit to those who already own an airwrap. Don't think we will see it a little cheaper directly from dyson, but possibly from stockist

I finally just broke down and purchased the air wrap recently and it is the best thing I've ever purchased I have very short hair it only goes to my chin and it shaved all the way around except for the top. The amount of curls I'm able to do with this makes my hair look just like Marilyn Monroe! I am so in love with this product I wish I had purchased it years ago but I cannot wait for the upgraded barrels!
So on the Dyson web site it says it's for chest length hair or longer, I was wanting to get this for my mom who has about shoulder length hair. Will it work for her?

@@ihavetoreturnsomevideotape2760 but you're going to need to get her the 0.8 barrels. They're the smallest ones and they don't come with the kit. You have to buy them separately.

I’ve been on the fence about buying the Dyson air wrap as I have a really good heat styling tools already but the new copper and silver colour way as well as the functionality of these new attachments has me excited to get it. Thankyou for your in-depth review.

I can’t wait till it’s available in the US. I never curl my hair with it because of the old barrel style but I did like how it looked. Definitely upgrading the curling barrels. Not sure about the other attachments except maybe the smaller round brush

Pro tip: i have the old curling barrels and you don't have to switch barrels to change the direction, just hold it upside down on one side and normally on the other 😁 saves you so much time cause you never have to let go of it or change hands to use it! I have hair past my waist and with this method my hair goes from wet straight out of the shower to curled in 15 minutes 😍 save your money if you already have the old version!

Just recently purchased the air wrap and slightly frustrated about it because these barrels look so much more convenient, and the new coanda flyaway attachment looks really handy. Probably should've waited... ah well.

I really love mine. It’s also great to only pack one tool if you travel fairly regularly. Is it worth $600? That really depends on the person, but the convenience really goes a long way for me.
Lol, i never knew that you used the cool air for setting your styling. I thought it was to dry your hair on a hot day or if you didn't want any heat damage 😆

They should offer a trade in option for the curling barrels if you have all the old ones. I know alot of people paid for the longer barrels lol.
i know it's not the same thing, but you could always sell the old barrels online. lots of people break or lose them while travelling. at least recuperate some of the cost
