If there's one thing Namjoon has proven time and time again, is that he knows EXACTLY how to pick his features. They always fit spectacularly and add to the songs, not only through their musical influence but also their voice and tone. Youjeen has the perfect voice to really convey the message RM has intended for us and I honestly think, that collaborations like these are kinda magical ✨
eh I disagree. some of the features actually detracted from my enjoyment of the songs on this album. my favourites were the ones where it was just him. I would have LOVED Closer if it weren't for the featured artists, they ruined it for me.
This is why he is my ult and I have his name tattooed on me forever. RM is one of the most realistic artists I have ever seen. I've never related to an artist as much as I have RM. I remember the first time noticing him in thr Baepsae dance practice in his pink shirt with overalls I was like who is that...and now here we are with this masterpiece. I've never been so proud in my life to be an army and to have him as my ult.
For me, the most impactful moment came when he says "Cause I'll never be like them" - he looks directly into the camera as if to promise the audience this. Felt like he's conveying to us that it's okay to be unapologetically yourself. He's willing to throw everything he's earned away to just be himself. My god.
RM has mentioned several times in indigo interviews that he really wanted to call it Flowerworks but he was afraid it would confuse people because it's not a real word and the word play/association is not quite as apparent in English as it is in Korean so he made the decision to call it wild flower instead.
The behind the scenes for this is amazing. The MV is gorgeous and powerful and I love how they hoth go hand in hand. Honestly I really got swept away with the song because Youjeen's vocals are gorgeous. Her vocals remind me of Jimin's voice but more of the tone. Lyrically Namjoon is such a poet it's one of the reasons that I really got into BTS back in 2013.
It’s weird how y’all can’t compliment a different artist without bringing up a connection to another member. Is it that hard to just compliment the vocalist?
The fireworks were real. No CGI. I agree with everything you said. I cry every time. It was a spiritual experience. youjeen's hauntingly stunning exquisite rock voice was rhe "icing on the cake". This video should win Every Award next year. If it doesn't. Because of politics or whatever...it's OK. It won Every Award in my World! To RM. I do wish you a Lovely Night! I wish you rest from the flames and fame. I wish you Peace. Quiet. Tranquility. I wish you a bed of your soft comfy wild flowers and indigo flowers and gorgeous blooming flowerworks. Sleep. An artist at rest. Sweet Peace to your mind, body, and soul!
Thank you. It's amazing how we can love someone and to have never met him. I do pray for the real Namjoon. Blessings to you who love him and wish him a Lovely Night too.
The director is Woogie Kim, who worked on Dope, Boy Meets Evil, Save Me and other BTS MVs. My favourite thing since becoming BTS ARMY used to be watching reactors new to BTS losing their shit over BTS, but now my favourite is watching EVERYONE (new to BTS or not) losing their shit over Indigo to the extent to which I myself have. Yes, YESSS! Great reaction that mirrors my own apart from the bursting into tears at the crowd singing "Flower, flower works". I think that's just me 😂
The whole album is such a masterpiece. Not a one mediocre song here. Yun is absolutely gorgeous t, and wait until you hear Closer. They did a mini concert last night and everything RM sang just slapped. The boys are such powerhouses on their own so no wonder when they are in a group they are almost overwhelming.
I love how RM continues to show us him. Like I know it's in Korean but I understood. The vulnerability and deepness of this whole album is so good. This is a gift, a precious chosen gift that will bless your ears if you let it.
Absolutely love this song and the album! For some reason when I watched the video I just started bawling lmfao, from the beautiful cinematic shots to the emotion in RM and Youjeen's voice- it's everything. Can't wait for the listening party!
no fr tho same, I watched the mv multiple times before but watching this particular video had me crying like a baby for the first yime ever to a song. Wild flower is such a masterpiece .
Mad respect for artists with a wide range. Raw or polished, for the mainstream or indie audiences. Rap or sing, R&B or rock... when it's done with sincerity and passion, a sonic and lyrical masterpiece happens. Indigo is that album and RM is that artist 💙 AOTY for me 👏
Btw to me this song feels like the perfect amalgamation of all mono. songs and Winter Flower by Younha. RM was heavily involved in the production of that song and this kinda feels like his version yk My favourite type of music from him by far! The one that leaves you an emotional wreck lol
So I’m an emotional person and cry easily so this MV definitely makes me cry but at the same time makes me feel like I can be strong as well. It really is a masterpiece that just moves you right in the heart and I end up in tears every time. There is no truer artist/poet than RM.
If you notice how the flowers turn to ash just like if you were to light a flower on fire aka a flower work. Then the flowers turn into army in the stands. It’s as if he saying his voice is so the flowers can blast into the sky and become beautiful while he stays on the ground with the ashes. It truly is beautiful.
Just wanted to make a little note that if you notice during the storm scene all the stuff flying around him is video equipment, ie. cameras, tripods, lights etc. such a cool little subtle detail. I knew that you would love this video! Had been waiting for it :)
The song and video elicit such a strong emotional response that is rarely felt in music these days. youjeen! Her vocals wrap the song in sheer beauty . I’ve watched the video over and over again and am drawn to it like bees to honey. 11/10 indeed.
Youjeen is the lead singer of Cherry Filter, you’ve probably heard their music at least in passing. What I love about the song and mv is RM’s sincerity, his wish and method to share where he is at mentally and in turn also bringing us up with him.
Work of art of the year. Not song of the year nor music video of the year. A literal masterpiece. It’s surely one of my favorite songs ever, hands down.
The MV is so effective in delivering the message and all the emotions that the song intended to. And for that I also consider this as the best. It's really a hard thing to achieve. The opening scene immediately drawn your attention and every scene after that just drawn you in deeper. You're right, I too got lost in it. And I love how they don't simply use nature as a backdrop, but incorporate it to the story. The storm, dead trees, night sky, sunrise, the flowerbeds, the clouds, and even the way they captured those shots. Everything just worked. Nothing feels like a filler or simply backdrop. And RM, he tells his story effectively too. His expression and his every movement really conveyed those emotions. The song really came to life, and I just love it!
Whole indigo is masterpiece I wake up and listen to it from beginning to end everyday since it dropped and i still can’t get enough of it, he said he is already working for next album I’m so greedy for his music
I feel like this mv is a combination of like 10 different sides of Namjoons brain. The calm field and beautiful scenery. The calm mature and a composed leader is able to form the most beautiful sentences that reassure and calm. The dark desert and cut-off/burnt trees The dark thoughts and his Iver thinking brain and his lonely feeling. The side that his poetry and words are the deepest. The thundering clouds and high winds. Fast-paced life and the balance between rapper and poet. The fighting style and the beautiful anger. The stadium where he is free to do music and feel the connections with army n fellow artist music that feels like home. The fireworks a Beautiful reflection of the fire within and a beautiful life to live but not wanting to burn out. Laying on the ground connecting to the earth and Namjoon reminded of nature and beauty and staying grounded. These are all the imagery of his thoughts and the lyrics amplified it 1000 % more. Namjoon truly does have a way in story telling with words and imagery . As a vet army I cried as I could see vivid flashbacks as I listened to the song the first few times and the lyrics and story was very telling. Youjeen also fit so very well she matched the song and it felt like a fitting puzzle piece and natural. I'm so happy you got this song it truly us a master piece. His whole Album is truly a deep tribute to RM , Namjoon, leader, rapper, poet, idol, Namjun. You could study RMs Album in writing and music classes easily.
thank you PD for reacting to wild flower too! honestly, every time this song comes on i cry (music video and lyrics wise). namjoon… i’m so proud of him :’)
I empathized and cried with the Millions of AMRYS around the world. Youjeen’s voice brought it to a different level. Whenever I hear this song, I get incredibly emotional.
Every scene of this MV is like a work of art. I am still struck by how well Youjeens vocals worked. She was concerned her vocals as a punk rock singer would over power the song but she added a firework like burst of sound that was absolutely vibrant and perfect. Simply beautiful.
From the moment I watched the music video I have been waiting for your reaction. I knew you were gonna love the filming and cinematography aspect of it, but would truly understand the meaning RM was trying to convey. The wait for your reaction was totally worth it...Thank You...❤️
I came so fast when I saw your update, I have been waiting for your reaction to this song because it is just amazing, the song and the album; RM is truly an amazing artist, I honestly thought nothing could outdo Mono and yet RM came thru and outdid it! I can't wait to see your reaction for still life mv!
I absolutely love this song and video. RM is an iconic genius. So emotional and beautiful. The timing is perfect. He just thinks of everything which boggles my mind.
I’m so excited for you to hear the rest of the album 😭😭 I cried when I watched the MV, either it was an emotional day or it was just that good it got me in my feelings 😭😩
I cried so hard as I heard this song and then the mv made even worst I was bawling my eyes out namjoon is just such an amazing artist I admire him so much
I'm still not over this MV. I've liced there since it came out. It's just so moving and emotional and brilliant and beautiful. I'm so happy you reacted to this masterpiece.
For those asking PD to do a listening party to Indigo, he's already stated a number of times that he posts them on Patreon now, as the copyright is a bit of a bitch to navigate these days. It's already uploaded if you want to go over there and check it out :) It was a fantastic reaction!
Thank you so much for reacting to Wildflower! It’s one of my favorites from Indigo, although the entire album is incredible, and I feel like you’ve captured it really well 💜 I look forward to hearing your thoughts on RM’s upcoming single Come Back to Me that’s releasing May 10th, as well as his album Right Place Wrong Person that’s releasing May 24th! 💜💜
Been waiting for this reaction PD. RM truly surpassed expectations with Wildflower. An amazing collaboration with Youjeen and a cinematic MV masterpiece to make this song complete!
This album is a complete masterpiece, RM himself said that it was best to experience it in the track list order and it’s just insane seriously. He laid his soul for everyone to see and it’s a masterpiece.
Amazing reaction! I loved watching your face as the music video played. That was probably the best part. Other people have probably already said this, but definitely check out the magazine film, where he discusses the message behind the songs on his album, and behind the scenes is really cute to.
💜🇧🇷💜RM’s lyrics are so powerful, touch’s your heart. He’s such a amazing lyricist ( a genius ), he can make you really feel every word that he is singing. Just love him.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜amazing video, amazing song, amazing singers!!!!!!!!!!
I lost my cat three days before the release, she was my best friend and it was really hard. Her name was Nori and knowing the name of the fireworks made me very emotional.
I’m getting chills watching you react just from that first verse even after seeing/listening to this so many times aaaaahhhhh-my jaw was slack for most of the video, what an absolute masterpiece
I was just thinking earlier today when this reaction would come out 🥰 I'm commenting before watching, so I hope that you react to Still Life too, the MV is just so cool and the song is so good
I have to just say…. I love the moments when you are fangirling…. The sheer love on your face is EVERYTHING to me PD…. That is the MAIN reason I watch your assessments of videos even though I hardly ever comment…. But I love your connection to the music and the visuals you inspire me so much and I just needed to say thank you for that even if you don’t ever notice this 💗 much love from a fellow NB 💙
This was emotional I really felt it and I cried sooo hard the lyrics at the end part "when your own heart underestimate's you" that made me cry soo hard 😭😭
What about the microphones in the storm when he says he is still speaking in silence? Such a cool touch. Also, I feel like there is a parallel between the stage with the violet lights and the flowers in the field. Like - He finds peace and the fireworks destroy and burn it to ashes, He finds it again, and there is the storm with the mikes (rumors and questions). And in the end, it's Army on the stage shot, and Rm in the field finally free. Simple and perfect. Every second of this is beautiful. The same goes for the music and the lyrics. This video and Rammstein's Adieu are the best videos of 2022.
"Like he was blending a bunch of paintings together and turned it into a music video" If that isn't the perfect synopsis of Indigo
true

@@MBella123 yes I know that.
This and smoke sprite are def my top two favorite RM songs, perfect choice for features for both

It's such a moving mv. RM is absolutely incredible. Thank you PD for your reaction💜
Please do an album listening review!! The whole album is phenomenal!
He's already done it :) It's up on Patreon now - he loved it!
I have a meltdown and cried through the mv.
Thats how beautiful and agonizing this is.
Still amazing, I can't go through this mv without goosbumps and tears.
Including the nakhwanori in the music video was his idea too! Like, holyshit what a great idea from his side
