Rm is like a fireWORK (in the spotlight/with great highs but they don't last long) and Kim Namjoon is a wildFLOWER (grounded and longlasting). The combination of both is Flowerwork. Rm wishes to be in the spotlight/perform and leave a longlasting impression at the same time. I can't explain it well because of my bad English but maybe someone else will post the right words (but I think you understand what I'm trying to say). He also says he wants to be his authentic self (let me be myself/when is this mask gonna come off) and he doesn't know what he wants anymore that's why he went on a journey of self-discovery (you can see that in his new album RPWP)...
You look tired Nesto. Please take care of your health..Don't get sick. Stay hydrated! We want you around for the long haul Nesto, not the short sprint. Take care please 💜
Lonely Dad Please react to RM Speech at the U.N.assembly 2018. When RM speak or makes a speech it's more like a President making a speech. His speeches are so well spoken. Even Doctors and universities professors, uses his speeches. To convey their messages to students and colleagues. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
When we talk about quality, introspection, genious lyrics, timeless music...when we talk about someone that know music well, then we talk about our perfect leader. Mr Kim Namjoon aka RM ...that I love to call Joonie💜
This song gets me every time. It came out during their break in 2022 after RM said that he lost himself and was so burnout and done. Knowing everything he went through breaks me when I read these lyrics, but then the line "I'll return someday" arrives. He's saying it won't be forever. He needed this pause to heal and find himself again, but then he and all of BTS will return. Love this song and Namjoon!!
My favorite lyric because it touched my heart and soul hearing his pain. "I wish me a lovely night." He just wanted one night of peaceful uninterrupted sleep. I believe he finally has achieved that which I'm so thankful.
Listening to it again in the context of RPWP is making me emotional all over again. There's some of the same themes from RPWP presented here but they're said much more softly (even though they still felt like I was being stabbed in the chest when Wildflower first dropped) but I can really tell how much he was holding back now.
RM has worked so hard to push his 6 brothers to the global sensation they have become, he has stood as a pillar they can rely on and has done for many years. I applaud the success he has achieved as an individual artist as well as the hub that keeps BTS as unique in their own individuality as well as their tight bond together performing as a group. This track is beautiful and shows yet another side of RM. I’m blown away 🫰💜
Wildflower was the pre-release for RM’s Indigo album, and this video was the first thing we saw or heard from his album, so it was released at the same time as the video. All of us were amazed at the depth and sweet vocals of this song. Thank you for reacting, ‘Nesto! 💜Borahae💜
I describe INDIGO As a polished gem. Each facet clear and beautiful. Whereas RPWP is raw still intricately specific but completely honest and visceral exciting and experimental. Genre cocktails give us ghe impression of greeting glimpses of the familiar whilst being refreshingly new. RM and YOUJEEN did this live RM ROLLING HALL LIVE SEOUL INDIGO. The whole concert is fantastic a small venue, RMs dream venue when he was a teenager.
This song always makes me teary. I think about what they have always gone through. Its good to see them starting to come through the other end. RM's lyrics with Youjeen's voice kills me. I just learned about the BTS Billionaires Club Project where we want to see each of them have a song with a billion streams on Spotify and with RUclips videos. This song deserves all the streams.
RM use flower, instead of fireworks because for him fireworks easily disappear while flower it didn't, and the flower symbolizes them as bts that they don't want to disappear just for the armys, though on the other side bts is also like a fireworks.
I remember when I saw this video it was like 4am and seriously I cried for a whole hour with this song. RM is a genius for lyrics, I love that he always speak with his heart through music and be able to share it with all of us. I’m glad that you liked it, RM art is unique
This song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. You can tell how much pressure, pain, self-doubt RM had to endure during his journey to fame. He wanted to become an idol because he loves music, a very simple reason. But the busy schedules, the never-ending promotions, Armys’ high expectations, sudden booming fame in the States, etc, RM started to feel lost and exhausted. Although the song he sang is about his own musical journey, it seems to speak to me as well. Life isn’t always rainbows and roses. And while we are trying to push through life on a daily basis, we are actually all on the journey in search of self-worth, and finding out who we really are as a being. As being the leader of BTS, RM’s wisdom is incomparable. His thoughts are so deep, and often reflects the feelings and thoughts we have. Listening to his songs is like taking a philosophy class, rich in meaning and wisdom! 👍🏻
Flowerwork: In addition to what others have said, Firework in Korean is 불꽃 (bulkkoch). Fire flower is Korean is 불 꽃 (bul kkoch)...same words. A firework is a fire flower in the sky. So he used a play on words, as he does so often, to get flowerwork. It is 100% intentional, and kind of brilliant if you ask me.
When I first listened to this song, I burst into tears. It touched my heart and my soul. I ached and felt RM's pain. Thankfully, during this solo time, they could vent their anger and rage and frustration. They did achieve fame. But at what cost? They literally sacrificed their Prime years and dedicated their lives to writing meaningful songs and performing them. They changed our lives while their lives stood still. You try and work 7 days a week for 10 years and see how you feel. And these weren't 8 hour days. Many times, they turned into all nighters while filming MV's. The lyrics that hit me the hardest is "I do wish me a lovely night." That's all he wanted was one lovely night if peace and rest and loveliness. I commented on his MV and told him above everything else I wished him a lovely night. I thought doing his solo work he might finally achieve that. But when his latest album came out I discovered he hadn't achieved that yet. He was still filled with anger and angst and rage and frustration. Perhaps he was even feeling worse. But now we know he worked and survived all the pain and trauma of living in that "Idol Castle". I feel he finally did receive that lovely night and many more. Thus we saw the chill RM cooly playing the saxophone with vibe and vigor and swag as he welcomed Jin back into the real world. Trivia. RM insisted on Reak Fireworks. No CGI. The special fireworks a the end were rope Fireworks the fisherman hang up near their boats on the pier. They are stunningly exquisite! Please take note. I couldn't see any lyrics at the bottom of the screen. Only when you paused the screen did they pop up. There is a way of minimizing your person on the screen and increasing the size of the screen we see. At the very least just move that screen up so we can see the bottom. For those if us who watch RUclips on our TV's. We can't adjust a 3rd party app to move up on out screens for viewing. Thanks for your consideration. What's next? Then click on Leave to go to this safe site. kollectionk.com/nakhwa-nori-a-traditional-korean-fireworks-festival
He has a high degree of emotional intelligence which is probably more important artistically. There are high-IQ individuals who would never be able to produce this kind of art. FYI, 145-159 is not the highest range. There are IQ scores above 180.
Love this song. Goosebumps every time. The reference to flowers I think is just about staying grounded, going back to his roots, that flower field where he seems at peace. Fireworks are big and explosive like his career. And they resemble flowers. So flowerwork. I don't know but I'm pretty sure it's all thought out. Lol
Flowerworks is exactly what he wants to say. It's a wordplay with fireworks. Fireworks explode, shine, and die in minutes. Now that they are shining more than ever, they are afraid of the end. He doesn't want to be this way with them. A flowerwork's death would be slower, more beautiful, with no shock... more acceptable. The thing is that they haven't still understood that they are legends, like the Beatles, MJ, Pink Floyd, etc. Legends don't die.
When Joon first released this song I cried my eyes out every time I watched it, especially remembering how he cried so much and was in so much pain during FESTA. We are here for you, Namjoonie. Please take as much time as you want to figure things out. And please do not take on all of it. You have your members who can share the load. We want our OT7 healthy and happy both physically and mentally for a very long time. We love you all and you have our full support no matter what you wish to do.
Flowerworks represents Armys. A beautiful ever evolving and amazing firework that doesn't burn out, but bursts across the sky of life. As others have mentioned, he did a sitdown explanation of the album, Indigo. He's such a beautiful human.
As the main lyricist for BTS, many of the romantic, loving and beautiful serenades we get from BTS have his stamp on them, as well as the more hard hitting diss tracks from BTS.
No need to feel bad for crying, Nesto! I felt like my heart was being ripped put when I first watched this MV. This was the first MV RM put out after the FESTA dinner when they announced their break (where RM broke down crying and talked about how tired he was) so this was like a punch in the gut. Being ARMY at that time, I felt responsible for his pain amd exhauation somehow, becuase he did it for us, you know? And now hearing it again in the context of right place wrong person and that Jimin/RM interview, its hitting hard again. I can see just how much RM was holding back in this now.
To me, he is a beautiful untamed wildflower that never fit in with the sculptured landscape of society. Like a wildflower who gazed up to the heavens from his field in the meadow, and wanted to be among the stars, to be free, to shine without the pressures of needing to fit in with the sculptured rose gardens of the society we live in. He had a message, something he wanted to share with the world, some secret only wildflowers know. So he set himself on fire so to speak, and shot to the heavens with blazing speed. So fast he could no longer control the direction. In doing so, he exploded, and scattered himself across the sky, a magnificent show we all were privileged to witness. But in being among the stars, and scattering like sparks across the sky, he could no longer see the stars, and forgot what it was to dream. Why did he ever want to leave the ground, the field where he grew so beautiful? So he has to come back to the field so he could dream again and see the stars from a place of groundedness. He lost himself when everything exploded. Now he is back to the field of wildflowers and remembering who he is. I don't know if this makes sense. Its just sort of how I interpreted it.
Fireworks in Korean and the word for flowers are almost the same symbols. So, he made fireworks into Flowerwork. RM loves nature, and this was part of the inspiration for the characteri into flowerworks. He made up the word! That's what you do when you have an IQ of 148! RM is my bias!! 6 bias wreckers. OT7 for life 💜💜💜💜
This one is probably one of my favorite RM songs. It's just so beautiful when it comes to the lyrics, production, Mv and everything. Also the voice of Youjeen was perfect for this track. Namjoon has been through a lot and this song is like a catharsis of emotions of how he was feeling in BTS at that moment. Like Namjoon said, he was feeling like he was losing himself and was so tired, with rpwp he talks more about his personal struggles but as an individual. You should really check out more of Namjoon's solos bc he's an incredible artist and he's like a poet too. 💜
Fireworks are loud and bright and gone in an instant. If you're in a field and pick up some flower petals and throw them in the air, they fall back to the ground but they remain. That's a flower work. The way I see it, Indigo is written by our President. It shares his experiences and offers empathy and advice by way of the features. RPWP is written by the Epik High stan. Epik High is the Korean rap group that flicked that switch in young Namjoon and Yoongi's brains and started the rise of RM and Suga. It says this is me, a grown a$$ man. Take it or leave it.
That song made me cry, too! So much pressure all those years for RM as leader and major songwriter. RM, the poet who never expected to be up on such a high pedestal with such enormous responsibility. Love him! ❤💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
This song always makes me cry.. The pain, loneliness, the responsibilities of all that came with the dream of music.. Youjeens voice is always hauntingly beautiful. RM asked her to come out if retirement for this song💜💜💜💜💜💜
You have to watch RM's Joke MV to truly get all sides of RMs talent and his hard diss RAP. He's amazing. I've been sleeping on RM, too, but not anymore.
Fireworks glow for a single moment then falls unseen, but a flowerwork is beautiful even as it falls and flies with the wind. He wants to scatter and shine across the sky. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I can’t watch this without crying. It kicked me right in the gut the first time I saw it. He was so exhausted. This break is doing them all some good. Time to pull back, regroup. 💜
What he’s singing about makes me want to give him a hug. He’s been dealing with this identity between RM and Namjoon and the world’s expectations on him when they were becoming bigger and faster than usual. With the new album, I’m glad he was able to get some release and relief.
That's ok to cry about this. I also cried when I first heard this song, because we armys know what he has been through and reading the lyrics it's like this is him releasing what's inside his heart that he kept a long time. The entire album is a masterpiece 💜 I love how genuine you are, please don't change 💜
RM had planned this as the last record of his 20s, but he had more to say. There are interesting related clips like an interview on the Zach Sang Show, an Album Magazine Film, BTS' RM and Pharrell Talk Producing, Their Upcoming Collab and More | Musicians on Musicians (on the Rolling Stone YT channel). And he got to rent Rolling Hall, a venue that can hold up to 500 people and that had been on his bucket list way back when, to perform his album in front of a live audience. The concert is available on YT.
Flowerwork is a type of Korean firework that strings together woodchips in paper bags on a line as they light it the line and the woodchips light up and make like fireflies as they burn down and they look beautiful as they burn out. That is what RM felt as BTS stopped for their hiatus RM was spent. As a main writer for most of their music, producer for over 300 songs, the leader of 7 boys that grew to men and stayed focused on their work, translator for them in the US every time they came over they had a translator but some of the stuff was so rapid fire. There was so much that he felt responsible for and remember he was barely in his teens when BTS started and his shoulders were wide but the burden was large. He felt spent like a flower work.
Thank you Nesto for reacting to this masterpiece. I still tear up every time I watch this MV, just the conviction with the way he sings/raps gives me chills. His passion, pain, struggles and love, I'm sure exploding from him, in telling his story. Love him and all the members so much. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
This song always hits me right in the feels! That’s why I love them so much. They are so relatable and allow vulnerability in their music. You don’t find that in many artists
The beauty and glory of success, of fireworks (which are fleeting and quickly extinguished), the journey in search of a greater meaning and the true “I”, in a storm of feelings and sensations, until reaching peace, balance in a field of purple flowers.... RM is a poet. The sincerity that passes through poetry is incredible. I see a lot of artists who make songs about things and people. In BTS, most of the time, they talk about their own experiences. This brings us much closer to them, as we identify with real feelings
This video was the 1st time I'd seen Korean fireworks, they are beatiful. This video is a masterpiece in every aspect. Namjoon & RM working through some things on a journey to find himself
Whether they are BTS or solo artists, they take you on a rollercoaster ride EVERY time. You never know what they are going to make you go through, isn`t that exciting. Every time you are shocked and surprised by what they give you and we love them for that.
True BTS is a facet of many artist with each their own view on the world and they are so diffrent in likes and dislikes and what moves them as a person. but they have one thing in common and that is their love for music. so it´s so interesting as a fan to explorer each of their solo works because it gives us a glimps into their lives and se what they like. We already knew Rm was burned out but he still loves creating music and he loves his fans and BTS. but the other side of fame is killing him (litterally) and it kills me as a fan to se him like that. also why whenever Army is interviewed in korea by the media, we make sure to tell them that it´s okay to take a break and relax and all we want is for them to be happy. just so that there is a chance for them to actually recieve the msg. and i think they have because BTS often adress things ary has been talking about online. for us they are more than just an artist they are family to us and they feel the same about army. so it must be so hard to let go if it all. but i hope after they get to relax in the military, meaning be more normal everyday life with training he will make good friends and people will look up to him i am sure.
The Rolling Hall live concert of this album includes this song with YouJean on stage with him. Also Paul Blanco with him on stage for the song Closer. 💜
Wildflower is such an extraordinary lyrical masterpiece. Adding in the video and it just takes it to another level. Namjoon created a remarkable musical treasure. I also get emotional every time I listen to it. I’m so proud of Namjoon.
Joonie is amazing thinker, and bring forth amazing lyrics and so forth … this why the lyrics of BTS are amazing, pairing him ,suga and jhope it’s a explosion 💥 we are a lucky fandom Rm best leader ever
We are never lonely with BTS. We, us, You, me, we who are ARMY. Youjeen's voice just creats the feeling like she is crying after something and it always makes me loose it. This time I survived longer than most times but I'm a sobbing mess here. And well if we think what we know now the befginning of the song.. "Open land, that's where I'm at No name, that's what I have No shame, I'm on my grave" The last word kinda has different weight after what he said to Jimin in the listening video, about the next album..
RM has such a delicate soul and knows so well to put all his feelings, dreams and desires in his lyrics! Thank you for the reaction, BTS is so much more then a group is an entire world where you can learn to love, appreciate and be thankful for your life, with little moments of happiness, with sadness, achievements and even failures! Everything is part of life! 💜💜💜🇹🇩
Expecting the unboxing video...got Wild Flower instead. WHOOOHOOO!!! Normally, I don't like such slow songs, but I often have this one on repeat. It's one of my favorite RM songs!
You should start reacting to the “Behind the Scene” videos that most BTS & individual work have available. They explain and answer many questions one may have.
He saw himself as one who takes all the mess, dirt, crap, of life & world (fireworks), and he hates it... but he's also the one that turns it into something people love and feel is beautiful (flowerworks)... so he's saying he'll stay there and keep doing that.... like a wildflower living and struggling in a barren land but bringing beauty. BUT... as we've seen with RPWP & his talk with Jimin... Maybe he is rejecting that he has to go through all that. Maybe when things (some anyway) are crap... just call it crap. It's what Yoongi sang about, too. If it's shibal... call it that. He doesn't have to take it. His path was hard to his dream... and sometimes you can be happy without a dream. Jimin threw it off with Set Me Free pt 2.... He said... "Raise your hands for the past me... set me free" He's tired of the mask. He has changed... which we are likely to see in the first track of MUSE titled Rebirth. In FACE he's throwing off the false idol face... and now he wants to have a real talk.
You said that beautifully. ❤
I think you explained it beautifully. Thank you.😊
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻couldn’t said better
Well said...
I believe RM is one of the greatest song writers of all time. He is a genius amongst geniuses. 💜
Agree. And the nicest and kindest and most loving genius.

I'm watching this 2 weeks after this comment was posted knowing full well Nesto got sick. Keep looking after our boy! 💜

Indigo is an entire journey. Such a wonderful allbum! We are so spoiled by our lovely 7 kings 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
It really is. I spent so much of this album crying because it resonated so deeply with me!
Please watch JOKE! RM is on a whole other level and just shows how much of a rapper he is and in a leauge of his own. YOU! I love watching you
I love how he says it all started with poetry. He truly is a poet.
Rm he so beautiful ♥️

RM meant it to be flower works. He made a documentary on the making of Indigo. It is a must watch. The album is amazing.
One of my favorite RM songs!! Youjeen has a beautiful voice as well. I get chills every time I hear the chorus.
Dear Lonely Dad,
How many liters of tears BTS
has already made you pay since you met them ? 😂
Don't worry, I'm the same.
We purple them 💜

OT7 for life 💜💜💜💜
For me RM is a poet and a philosopher , I love and respect him so much, Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I can't wait to see BTS in 2025, so Army can hear RM making his amazing speeches again😭😥. I really miss the boys so much !💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
This one is probably one of my favorite RM songs.
Wildflower is my top no 1 favourite song ever, it got me at 1st listen and gets me still everytime. RM is a genius as always with his lyrics 🎉
Loved this reaction! Wildflower is in my top 5, one of my absolute faves! 💜💜💜💜
To me it is a tearjerker. He sounds like a tortured soul and mentions how his success shackles and devours him...what could be sadder?
Fireworks are loud and bright and gone in an instant.
If you're in a field and pick up some flower petals and throw them in the air, they fall back to the ground but they remain. That's a flower work.
The way I see it, Indigo is written by our President. It shares his experiences and offers empathy and advice by way of the features.
RPWP is written by the Epik High stan. Epik High is the Korean rap group that flicked that switch in young Namjoon and Yoongi's brains and started the rise of RM and Suga. It says this is me, a grown a$$ man. Take it or leave it.
Yeah, he said in the documentary for this album that BTS is like a firework but he is like a flowerwork
That song made me cry, too! So much pressure all those years for RM as leader and major songwriter. RM, the poet who never expected to be up on such a high pedestal with such enormous responsibility. Love him! ❤💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
So well said.
RM RM RM RM
It was over six months before I could hear/watch this MV without crying. The message and the visuals are just so powerful. RM is godly.
This song was released December 2, 2022. Wildflower is the title track on his album INDIGO released on the same day.
This song always makes me cry.. The pain, loneliness, the responsibilities of all that came with the dream of music.. Youjeens voice is always hauntingly beautiful. RM asked her to come out if retirement for this song💜💜💜💜💜💜
RM - Moonchild, Uhgood, Still life, Seoul , Reflection
RM, Suga, J- Hope - Outro:Tear, Ugh!
You have to watch RM's Joke MV to truly get all sides of RMs talent and his hard diss RAP. He's amazing. I've been sleeping on RM, too, but not anymore.
Our Poet 💜
Fireworks glow for a single moment then falls unseen, but a flowerwork is beautiful even as it falls and flies with the wind. He wants to scatter and shine across the sky. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
This song always move me… never fails. 💜
I can’t watch this without crying. It kicked me right in the gut the first time I saw it. He was so exhausted. This break is doing them all some good. Time to pull back, regroup. 💜
Just the Trailer got me 🎆😭
What he’s singing about makes me want to give him a hug.
The entire album is a masterpiece 💜
I love how genuine you are, please don't change 💜
RM had planned this as the last record of his 20s, but he had more to say. There are interesting related clips like an interview on the Zach Sang Show, an Album Magazine Film, BTS' RM and Pharrell Talk Producing, Their Upcoming Collab and More | Musicians on Musicians (on the Rolling Stone YT channel). And he got to rent Rolling Hall, a venue that can hold up to 500 people and that had been on his bucket list way back when, to perform his album in front of a live audience. The concert is available on YT.
I have a serious passion for RM's artestry and that amazing human being.
This is probably some of RM' s best work, glad you checked it out
He sure is amazing! It's such a deep song, good message to all of us in life I feel. I'm 58 yr old army from NZ.
I hadn’t actually seen the music video for Wildflower yet, and didn’t realize how deep it was. Wow.
Our President!💜
I love Wildflower so, so much. It’s my favorite. RM is my bias. My daughter got me a shirt with a picture of him in the purple suit on.
Alexander McQueen 💜🤌🏾💋
Thank you Nesto for reacting to this masterpiece. I still tear up every time I watch this MV, just the conviction with the way he sings/raps gives me chills. His passion, pain, struggles and love, I'm sure exploding from him, in telling his story. Love him and all the members so much. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Still Life - and explanation by RM
Will flowers is masterpiece 🎉❤ these line always got me😌
Lovely RM & Nesto with my morning ☕ coffee 💜🫰🏼 BORAHAE
Wild flower is one of my favourite RM songs from his Album Indigo. You should check out the making of the video
This song always hits me right in the feels! That’s why I love them so much. They are so relatable and allow vulnerability in their music. You don’t find that in many artists
This is my favorite song. I get chills every time I hear it! 💜
21K way to go!!!! 🎉🎊🍾
This song is so humbling and introspective
Brilliant nesto xx around the same time watch still life rm and Anderson pac xx 😊❤
BTS "LET GO"(STAGE MIX)
I love this track from RM and her voice sounds so amazing as well.💜💜💜
Wildflower is such an extraordinary lyrical masterpiece. Adding in the video and it just takes it to another level. Namjoon created a remarkable musical treasure. I also get emotional every time I listen to it. I’m so proud of Namjoon.
This is so, so beautiful and Youjeen's vocals are 🔥 lead singer of the band 'Cherry Filter' ... One of my favourite RM' s songs 💜💟♾️💜✌️🇮🇪
Your emotions are why I Iove your channel 💜💜
Joonie is amazing thinker, and bring forth amazing lyrics and so forth … this why the lyrics of BTS are amazing, pairing him ,suga and jhope it’s a explosion 💥 we are a lucky fandom Rm best leader ever
We are never lonely with BTS. We, us, You, me, we who are ARMY.
Youjeen's voice just creats the feeling like she is crying after something and it always makes me loose it. This time I survived longer than most times but I'm a sobbing mess here.
And well if we think what we know now the befginning of the song..
"Open land, that's where I'm at
No name, that's what I have
No shame, I'm on my grave"
The last word kinda has different weight after what he said to Jimin in the listening video, about the next album..
My favorite ❤
Mine too!! 💜🫰🏼
This is such a touching song and video. It really pulls on heartstrings.😢
I love her voice. This song is beautiful.
masterpiece. 1,000%
If you knew the story with the woman on vocals....whew!!! Thats a tearjerker in itself!!! So proud of her for doing this with Namjoon
