RM's Persona and Still life are highly recommended. He's a brilliant and poetic lyricist. As for V I also recommend Slow dancing like most of the comments but I suggest you start with Singularity it's one of the most beautiful songs you'll ever hear.
Since you've already done the other six members, it's time to check out V now! I'm going to go against what everyone else is saying and say start with his most recent song Fri(end)s. After that, you can check out Singularity (his BTS solo) or Love Me Again.
The timing! RM just announced his 2nd official album 'Right Place, Wrong Person', which will be released on 24th May. It has 11 tracks that he wrote! Can't wait for him to release another masterpiece! Please check it out when it drops 💜
Yes. You could see her shaking when she was performing live with him in that private show. She had submitted everything online. So the practice before the performance was actually the first time that she had sung with him in person. She was striving to be at her best for him. I'm so grateful that he introduced her to those of us that had not learned of her yet.
For someone who doesn't know BTS for so long, man, you got the message spot on. Everyone admires Namjoon's genius brain--we could all agree his word play, his poetry...he's a masterpiece! And I love how intuitive your thoughts are, you absorb, you interpret the song so quickly. You catch on them and get the meaning like how an ARMY would think because at certain point you just get them. I like it when people think deeply and try to get to the bottom of things. More power to your channel! 🎉😊
I was just thinking the same thing. I took my card after endlessly listening to D Day. All this started with me loving Golden. They are insanely talented.
As soon as I saw the title 'Wild Flower', I clicked on it. There are many reasons why BTS was able to become a global group, but the fact that RM, a wise and intelligent person, was at the center as a leader is undoubtedly one of the reasons that cannot be overlooked. I looooove his lyrics imbued with deep thoughts and his musical abilities.
Your interpretation was spot on! My fave line is "society is all for the loudest voice, and here I am, still speaking silence. It's an aside, a boat full of bloom to face all the prejudice and misunderstandings."
As a side note, I want to say thank you again for your insightful reactions and your appreciation of each of the members. As an ARMY, I get to see BTS again through your new eyes and feel that thrill of discovery all over again! I'm sure you can agree that each and every member of the group is extremely talented, hard working, and very special. Keep going... we are enjoying the journey! 💜
RM is simply THE POET, the metaphors he uses are brilliant and each sentence carries so much meaning, *personally*, I had never met an artist who writes as well as RM
Aloha, 59 year old ARMY here. Kim Nam-joon was not expecting BTS to be so big with the various expectations from their success. They have become representatives of their country… of their culture. The enormous pressure was especially on him. Besides being the leader, he is the only one that can speak English fluently for interviews (without interpreters). He had the pressure for speaking for the other members especially when in foreign countries. Other singers like Taylor Swift does not have the expectations put on her to represent the US while BTS does. Black Pink nor Twice, for that matter, doesn’t either. They can just focus on singing and entertaining. The pressure and expectation are probably not what BTS wanted or expected. The group is lucky to have RM as their strong leader. I am grateful too as an ARMY for him taking the role and doing an amazing job. Mahalo RM!
Namjoon is actually a poet who also became a rapper and also the leader of the biggest boyband in the world. He is incredibly talented that it feels insane sometimes. He just announced his fourth solo album called "Right Place, Wrong Person" which will be released on May 24. Please look forward to it cause you would definitely experience even something better.
Rm is a poet ...Mono and Indigo's albums are masterpiece....I suggest to react... Moonchild... Bicycle...Hectic...Still...life........ ......Yun..Tokyo...Badbye. ...Forever Rain
I can't know exactly when RM wrote this song, but you should have experienced the insane momentum that BTS were on from 2020 to 2022 (2022 was when they announced they were going on hiatus from group activities and, later, confirmed enlistment). Already at the top of the world, their rise became even more stratospheric. I was seriously scared for them -- a subconscious fear of "the higher up you go, the farther you have to fall" (a fear they all share, especially Suga in some of his songs). We do know that by 2019 (after working intensely/non-stop for 7 years, plus 2-3 more years of training for him, pre-debut), RM felt like he was at the end of his creative rope and wasn't sure where to take the group next, creatively, or what story to tell "as BTS". He was deep in burnout, so he was probably assured that after their planned 2020 world tour, they would be on hiatus (and enlisting) for the next two years. But then the pandemic happened and the whole tour got canceled multiple times. And who would want to go ahead and enlist during the pandemic, only to be in close quarters with dozens of recruits all the time? In the uncertainty, they put out a lighthearted group single called Dynamite, and -- though they were already indisputably HUGE before, selling out all the top stadiums worldwide -- Dynamite brought them to the attention of even the "general public" (as their first all-English song). It held the record for most viewed music video in 24 hours on RUclips... until the next year, when it was surpassed by their next all-English single, "Butter". And their brand prestige as a group soared even higher as the South Korean president at the time elevated them to Presidential Envoy status and gave them temporary diplomatic passports for their (second in-person) trip to the United Nations, this time to give a speech in the General Assembly Hall itself. They were achieving historic, unprecedented feats one after another -- first K group to reach No. 1 on Billboard, first to film a 'music video' at the United Nations, first Korean group to be nominated for a Grammy, first K group to perform on the Grammy stage, first and only K group to win "Artist of the Year" at the American Music Awards -- and they were even invited to the White House by President Biden to speak on anti-Asian hate... like, no pressure! At their 2022 annual Festa dinner, RM let slip the question, "What are we... diplomats?" -- indicating how much pressure he felt. I couldn't agree more because, during those years, I remember thinking, "What'll they expect BTS to do next? Institute world peace and save the planet?". Their 2022 'hiatus' announcement put the brakes on all that and, honestly, it was just in time. Anyway, this song, Wild Flower, encapsulated all of this beautifully (the pressure/struggles/burnout), in a way only RM can. Despite his "oversized" fame, he just loves nature and the simple things -- riding his bike, walking in a field, admiring the sky, examining a fallen autumn leaf, etc. That's why the imagery of this MV is so poignant, as are his lyrics. Thankfully, he's said that he's well past that burnout now and has regained his creative drive. Having been out of the whirlwind for a while, he can see things more clearly and feel some renewed appreciation for it (he said this in an interview somewhere). And I just want to add that I needn't have feared for them, for rising so stratospherically high -- they have remained as down to earth, grounded and humble as ever. That kind of fame often changes people -- but I don't feel this with BTS at all. That's why they're so endearing, and deserve our love and respect. And now we can see how hard they were working during that year or two before service, preparing all kinds of content, just so we would have new work to dig into even while they're serving. [Sorry for the essay - I'd be happy if just one person bothered to read this.]
I love how for every reaction you keep saying " this is my favorite thing I've reacted so far". That's what BTS does. They're that great that with each release you get impressed more and more.
I don't know if you knew this but RM is the leader of BTS and he deals with responsabilities that the other members don't deal with. He's has a soul of a poet. Also he's the one who writes most of BTS's lyrics. Also i believe that when he says "no name, that's what I have" it's because he changed his stage name to RM. It used to be Rap Monster but he said RM actually represented his real self, that why RM stands for REAL ME.
Really really enjoyed this reaction! I think you'll enjoy RM. He makes my brain tingle, his lyrics are just so good and honest and deep That whole album, Indigo is chef's kiss. Just so good! On a side note, all BTS guys have immense presence. Every time I see their solo works especially live, they blow me away. I am just going to go back and look through your earlier reactions. Looking forward to it 💜💜💜
the way you became my fav bts reaction RUclipsr in just a few videos, your commentary is always so nice and you try to really understand the boys Thank you for posting this, I’ll keep supporting you from France ! ☝🏻
You are also my favorite. You are always so respectful and thoughtful. Thank you! I’m 50 years old army and love it the most when BTS are all together. From Rm s Indigo album this and Lonely are my favorites. I’m also huge fan of his solo song Persona from BTS album Map of the Soul: Persona. He (like all of them) is amazing 💜
Hello, RM is an incredible rapper, he writes his own songs, you have said that you like metal, well listen to Troy Away, also Joke, Do You, Monster, Persona and more calmly, Forever Rain, Bicicle, Seoul... of his album Indigo, you started with Wildfower, the whole album is a masterpiece, but I really like Lonely and Change p2.... All the best❤
I absolutely love this song. RM poured his heart and soul into the lyrics. This is one if the most beautiful videos from RM. Absolutely love it. Thank you for reacting.
When BTS rappers come out with their solos, they really just poured all their raw feelings into it, speaking about their vulnerability, afraidness, sorrow and all. I wanna give a like to this video, but turns out I have already hit the like button earlier than I thought 😂
RM is a bonafide genius. His lyrics are poetry. He said that the most difficult song for him to create for this album was Wildflower. He was working on it for a couple of years. The woman singing the chorus is called youjeen and she’s from a Korean rock group called Cherry Filter. RM released a mini documentary about the making of his album Indigo and we got to see footage of her recording her parts and talking about what it was like to work with him. Indigo is a masterpiece. Almost every song features a different artist. Anderson .Paak is on the album too. RM has worked with several well known rappers as well (Lil Nas X Wale being two that come to mind). Please check out the guide by Taylor Mari to get a feel for each member. 💜
When this man sings or speaks it is carried with so much thought, so much gravitas, it’s so profound all you can do is be in awe that this beautiful person exist at the same time that you do. He’s a poet with a sexy brain like Jin said 😅 love RM that’s our leader right there! Anxiously awaiting four his new album
First time hearing this made me cry.... these guys try so hard to only share positivity with the world, but at the same time bare their souls like this. You can feel the hurt, confusion, conflict, but also some optimism. Namjoon is a precious soul.....so crazy talented, so smart. This album (Indigo) is a masterpiece...highly recommend listening to the whole thing (and his solo work from before as well). It was just announced like an hour ago that his new solo album is coming in May. He worked so hard before his enlistment to get that album done... cannot wait to hear more!
The first time I watched Wildflower and still to this day when I watch it.. I cry 😢. I guess I was oblivious, naive or just selfish that I didn't realize that they were having such feeling. To know that the men of BTS were having such hard times or a identity crisis made me feel guilty for not recognizing it or that I didn't see them struggled. I guess I had on my rose colored glasses on. It broke my heart that they were dealing with these emotions in silence. They only showed their best to us and were there for us during hard times. It just really broke my heart and still does when I watch this. Although it is truly a masterpiece that I love. 💜
@@djlivvy46 yes hun, but never realized that their fame was devouring them. That they felt like they were in shackles. That they weren't happy. I guess I should have came to that conclusion after watching how hard they work etc. It feels like they are only continuing for our happiness as a repayment for Army. It felt like we are somewhat responsible for their unhappiness I guess. That's sad.
RM is a lyrical genius and a true poet. He is so unbelievably smart and really aware of the power BTS has achieved and is always cautious and introspective about that fact. I obviously don't know him personally, but he has shared things that he really loves with us. I think he loves being RM, because he has so much creativity to unleash on us, but he is also Namjoon, who loves riding his bike, enjoying nature and exploring art museums. I think he has been paying close attention to the balance between those two worlds for a while. He's really an inspirational person to all of us.
This song...this anthem is my favorite from RM's solo album. Some background information for you...at their last Festa meeting...BTS announces they are going to take a break from group activities. However, they were free to pursue solo work. At this meeting, RM started crying as did the others. They explained they were "burned out." Totally exhausted. They could not create any new material. If you don't know...BTS worked 7 days a week with no weekends off. They really didn't see their family much because they got very few real vacations. I remember the first time they got Christmas off. They worked 360 days a year. And not your typical 8 hours of work. 10 to 12 hours at least. Many times, they worked through the night when filming their MV's. They were all brain dead. In a past interview, RM said he wrote a song every other day. Suga writes a song every day. They can't "turn off" their genius. Back in 2018, they all discussed disbanding. They had gotten no breaks. They were double tired. At an award show, Jin shares this secret with their fans. They all start crying....because they survived and forged through. So you are hearing RM's heart felt lament where he is in his life. He says "I do wish me a lovely night". If only he could sleep for one night. It's a beautiful song. I cried and cried hearing him sharing his truth. Many of the boy's solo songs were nominated for Billboard. RM didn't get nominated. I never understood why. Because this song is gorgeous and Tears at your heart. Of note. RM said he did not want any CGI in his MV. Those are real fireworks you see. Some of them are "rope" fireworks famously hung near the waters by fishermen. At the end of the MV, we see RM resting surrounded by flowers and nature. He finally got his wish...a lovely night. He is finally happy! Because he is finally getting the break he so desperately needed. I honestly think if they didn't take this break, they may have disbanded. Ironically, their military service was another way of them taking a break from show business. They all can't wait to get back together in 2025! So. Now you know.
I would suggest his Tiny Desk Concert as he explains the inspirations behind the songs. The album Indigo is beautiful and powerful as one would expect from Namjoon. When I heard it for the first time I had was laying on sofa in my studio with the album playing on my Hi fi system. It made me then look at the MV for the full lyric's. It's one of my RM Favourites.
The beauty and glory of success, of fireworks (which are fleeting and quickly extinguished), the journey in search of greater meaning and the true "I", until reaching peace, balance in a field of purple flowers.... RM is a poet. The sincerity that passes through poetry is incredible. I see a lot of artists who make songs about things and people. In BTS, most of the time, they talk about their own experiences. This brings us much closer to them, as we identify with real feelings. Everything is beautiful here: RM, the music, the lyrics, Youjeen's voice, the sincerity in sharing feelings with us, the photography and cinematography, the contrast between the internal chaos and the peace of the purple flowers (army), the fires under the clouds...everything!
Here is some extra info on RM for you... Predebut RM, known under the names Runch Randa, Largo, Stealo, and the Nexist in the underground hiphop community was already a prodigy in rap despite being 13years old (he started in the underground scene at 11 years old) impressing other rappers. RunchRanda which basically meant 'I am Runcha', he has said it was inspired by a game character he had at the time. He was known to be so good that even older underground rappers in their 20s and 30s didn't wanna battle against him. Also, because of his low-midtone voice, philosophical lyrics and flashy rap skills he gained quite the popularity among hiphop fans. (Jungkook joined the same agency as he had been so impressed the first time he saw RM perform...) Throughout 2008-2010 , RM (Runch Randa or Randa ) was mentioned multiple times by other rappers in their songs mostly complimenting RM or wishing they had skills or fame as him. An example for that is when Zico* made a diss song to Philophon (35yo) who is also a rapper saying "you got your ass handed to you by a 13 yr old Runch" referencing that Philophon already lost to teen Namjoon. RM joined BigHit in 2010 at 15 years old. His audition.was watched by BangShiHyuk and RM was offered a contract on the spot.... He was 18 when BTS debuted.
RM talks about this album on suga's talk show. 1st episode. He calls this his entire 20's. he wants you to listen to the songs in order. they walk you though his feelings over those years.
This song absolutely made me cry when I first watched it because I immediately remembered the last FESTA that the guys did together. RM specifically talks about how the group going on hiatus was a scary but necessary thing so that they could essentially find out who they were outside of BTS. There's a great interview he does where he talks about the process of putting this album (Indigo) together since it's representative of his 20s and all the thoughts and struggles he was dealing with. I HIGHLY recommend not only going through that interview but also enjoying more songs from it. To say it's profound is an understatement.
As you probably know, BTS was the underdog of Kpop. They literally had to work down to their bones to be where they are now. This came with sacrifices from each of them for the good of the team. Before enlisting each member had the opportunity to try do their own things. Each came with an album, they all are so diverse and fantastic, but Indigo from RM goes a little deeper into all his insecurities and hopes. Its my favorite! Thank you for reacting, I'm subscribing.
RM is the poet behind most of their work. He loves poetry and began writing poems at a young age which turned into lyrics. BTS’s fame took them all by surprise. They went from barely known and doing ok to super stardom in a year or two. They just exploded. When that happened, they were all exhausted and began to doubt this is what they wanted. They legit almost broke up. Suga even wrote a song about that time called Tear. It’s just the 3 rappers, but you can hear the pain as they deliver it. I highly suggest the live version of that. I think that time is part of what RM is referring to here. He started out in the underground rap scene…I’m sure his dreams were vastly different back then, and I’m sure being an idol very much felt like a mask and their fame became shackles.
Kim Namjoon is indeed a lyrical genius 🫶🏾💜 absolutely love this song and husband project. More music from him coming soon. Watch his Tiny desk though 🫶🏾
this is why our leader is different, the first person who always thinks about BTS and ARMY, he really knows what sound he needs in the album, he says if "Youjeen " does not agree to sing in this song he will change all the lyrics into English, he really select the artist from all place (underground artist, Korea, US, legend). this man is the definition of knowledge. RM is really the type of artist even if you are really famous but you have no talent you can't collaborate with him. because he just created art.
Youjeen's voice is amazing. hen I first saw this MV, I burst into tears, it just touched me so deeply. Namjoon started writing poetry from an early age and while he got into the hip hop underground in his teens he still remained a poet, a wordsmith.
The title track from his album indigo He has described it as the story of his twenties. 10 tracks in 10 genres with incredible features…. He has video covering the tracks with his commentary and the comments of featured artists… amazing true but rm has always shared his thought processes in creating songs and albums… an intelligent poet who shares his vision and views 💜🇨🇦
Actually RM is so genius and very creative in a way, he is one of the secret of the biggest success of BTS. Because of his personality and very supportive to the group and to it's member individually, BTS treat like a family ❤❤❤
oh what would i'd give just to hear this masterpiece for the first time again 🥹💜 he just announced his upcoming solo album 'right place, wrong person' on May 24th and he said before that the songs in there will be much better than his previous album, indigo 🤯
RM is impressive, he's a kind and caring man, extremely talented but also very clumsy (he's really cute when he destroys things or stumbles), he's a young man who deserves to be an example, especially for "this crazy industry" as he calls the music industry ... As I said before, I'm glad you also understand him so well...my user name has nothing to do with RM, I chose it long before I met BTS but I was so happy when I discovered this song, especially because RM is very expressive in his lyrics, he has an insightful voice and the song itself is amazing! Thank you so much for the reaction, I'm looking forward to the next song you'll choose, no matter what it will be...unfortunately, in Romania where I live, BTS fans are few so I'm glad when I can interact with those who love BTS music here online, have a nice evening! 🤗
this song absolutely broke me when it came out and turned me into an irrevocable Army because I resonate with it so much! The fireworks is like his fame. It shoots up into the sky so fast and bright, but with a blink of an eye, it's over. RM would rather live like a wild flower where he can take his time to grow and evolve, bloom for longer, and when his time comes, the flower petals will slowly and gracefully fall to the earth. tell me he's not a poet! The announcement of his new album just dropped. 11 tracks that he wrote right after he released Indigo is nuts! these guys are so hard working it's very inspirational! The description of the album is "it captures some of the universal emotions that we all experience at some point in life, such as the feeling of being an outsider who doesn't fit in." I think RM will be sharing a lot of his mental thoughts in this album and i can't wait. I always find his mind fascinating. You will also find that RM is one of the more experimental members of the group. His solo music kind of goes against the grain which is why the general public won't understand and enjoy it as much as the other members. But those that understand his backstory and the type of artist he is, will appreciate the thought and meaning that goes behind his songs. His solo work really makes me question myself and what i can do to be better.
Namjoon did an album breakdown where he talks about each song on the album. You also heard from each of the featured artists. The whole album is amazing. Some of my personal favourites other than Wildflower, Still life with Anderson Pak, Lonely and #2. But honestly those are probably today’s favourites as they suit certain moods. I have the entire album In different playlists.
I LOVE how you put thought about the meaning of this songs and you always catch them just right! I would suggest the whole álbum Indigo by RM ! but if u want something diferent, he has a Tiny Desk Live, where he performs some of his older solo songs and some new from Indigo (wild flower is from this album)
This is my favorite RM song. You are so right, it does seem important. I think it is because it is so honest and vulnerable while being so poetic. Very RM.
The honesty and raw emotions that the boys bring through their music, Wildflower is the perfect example, as to why BTS are world famous. They're able to touch our hearts in ways that we can relate with instead of bragging about money, bitches and cars which seems to be the norm for a lot of "popular" American music. I'll just respectfully not listen when I would rather support a group who has helped me grow as a person, over 40 now, for the better. I just heard the news about Namjoon's new album and I can't wait! He's an amazing poet with a beautiful soul who strives to be the best at what he does. Ever changing and always evolving - that's our boys in a nutshell musically.
Here to echo the comments, this man is our lovely profound poet leader. From Rap Monster to RM, his range of discography is truly a journey to be had. Can't wait to hear his upcoming album Right Place, Wrong Person!
Namjoon our very dear leader. A poetic genious! There would be no BTS without this man. He made me love hip hop... He is the main brain and the responsability was huge for him as a mediator between the members and the company. Having to deal with interviews, decisions, the English language, member's issues and so much more, with everyone forgeting that he was also a kid trying to find his identity. A real role model!
You’re right- he IS absolutely brilliant. Impressed yet again with your ability to ascertain the heart of the song, as you haven’t been checking out their music for long. SOooo many reactors don’t even notice the lyrics when reacting to BTS.
Namjoon's writing is next level. The words he uses, the way he lets them flow out of his mind and into the paper, a true poet honestly. And with the high IQ that he has, the kind of content he puts out for us to experience is always a pleasure. Namjoon's songs are truely an Experience that one will hold onto for a long time. and Wildflower is a song that has been with me since it's release. It's such a beautiful piece of art. and the part where he says "Society's all for the loudest voice, and here I am still speaking Silence' No matter how many times I listen to the song, I get goosebumps everytime these lines come up. (sidenote : Since you're diving deeper into the solo projects, I highly highly highly recommend you to listen to Snooze by Agust D, equal sign by JHope, Moonchild by RM and Strange by Agust D with RM.)
Our Namjoon (RM) is a true poet. He is highly intelligent, introspective, and his own worst critic. He works extremely hard (as do they all!) and has a very artistic approach to his music. His solo album, "Indigo," he said is the story of his 20s. His second solo album drops on May 24, and he said to expect something very different from him. We can't wait! Thank you for your reactions... keep them coming! 💜
Just listened to this driving home from work last night. The lyrics are profound. And the music video imagery is amazing! Loved the Korean fireworks, it was the first time I learned about those. I love how he honors other artists on the whole Indigo album, introduces us to Korean singing icons that I would not have known otherwise. I'm so grateful that he's willing to share these inner aspects of himself, his search for meaning. And yes, really curious about what "Right Place, Wrong Person" will bring us.
RM is a Poet even before becoming a BTS member, he incorporate that passion along w/ his hiphop background into their group songs most of the time. he is the 2nd most credited song writers in KPOP as a whole. He is also the BTS Leader... His love for art and reading showcased in their ALBUMS and the concepts. He is sooo underrated tbh..
Thank you for your reaction! RM is really special and his lyrics are like poems that touch our soul. This song is simply beautiful and the video was wonderful. 💜💜💜
My reaction when I first experienced this song was wanting to reach into the MV so I could give him a warm hug and tell him he has done enough, that he IS enough. He is so brilliant, talented, and admirable, yet so very grounded and humble. While still a teenager himself he graciously accepted the leadership responsibility for a pre-debut idol group which frankly most people in their industry didn’t expect to succeed, and within a few years he found himself carrying the weight of a world of expectations on his shoulders like Atlas and speaking at the UN and the White House. “Conflicting emotions” wouldn’t even start to describe it.
The singer is YOUJEEN of CHERRY FILTER. Known to refuse collaboration with new people. Same with Erykah Badu also on the album. To see live put RM WILDFLOWER ROLLING HALL LIVE eng sub then press cc after it starts to play. Personally I would watch the whole intimate concert at teenage RMs dream venue. RM speaks plus all his collaborators Inc. Youjeen on RM INDIGO MAGAZINE DOCUMENTARY. Which was one of the very few nods RM gave to promoting it. Mind you he did that with his brilliant mix tape MONO too.
He is the bridge between spoken poetry and rap. If you only like one, but then hear him, you soon find yourself wanting to hoot, holler, and give snaps all at the same time. His lyricism and the delivery of it to his own music is vulnerable and genius. He has a song with Erykah Badu and it fits. Again, he just bridges all the genres and mediums. He is a major influencer and patron of modern day culture/ art and yet highlights the significance of historical artists by deriving most of his inspiration from them. They are not just a dumb boy band. And it’s so funny when people describe BTS that way. In fact, his self searching and discovery of Ego according to Jungian psychology (MAP OF THE SOUL albums), caused growth in the whole group allowing them to become the solo artists we see now.
Thank you very much for listening to Namjoon's "Wildflower". It is rare to come accross reactors who actually pay attention to the lyrics and Namjoon's songs need so much of that because of their sheer depth. I, personally love the vulnerability and authenticity of his music. I would love to have you react to his songs from his previous mixtape and album, Mono and Indigo. Although I love all the songs, here are some suggestions so that you can decide for yourself whether you would like to listen to the whole album: Mono: Seoul, Moonchild, Forever rain Indigo: Closer, All Day, Still Life, Yun Also, his second official album is going to be released on 24th of May. I cannot wait for it to come out. He does explain not only how "Wildflower" came to be but the process behind the creation of all the tracks on Indigo in the INDIGO Magazine Film. Its a very interesting video which gives you a glimpse in to his mind. It would be fun if you could react to it and we could watch it together with you. But if that's not possible, you can watch it by yourself too. Its really good. Thanks once again. Have a good day! Bye!💜
Gen X/Army here, Wild Flower makes me cry each time, thank you for reacting!! Eagerly awaiting for 5/24/24 from Kim Namjoon....💜No Bias here but tend to gravitate to the Hyung line. I seriously will never be able to pick one...
The first time I watched this video, I cried so much. The vulnerability Namjoon showed through this song was unbelievably poignant. He is absolutely brilliant, and his honesty and willingness to show his true self through his music are just among the many things why BTS and all the members are so loved. They are truly lucky to have RM as their leader! So excited for his 2nd solo album Right Place, Wrong Person, which will come out on May 24th. 💜💜💜
Thank you for this reaction!! I honestly would love to watch any BTS reactions you decide to record! I especially would love to watch your reaction to BTS’s official documentaries and live performances!!
This song had me choked up...almost crying. At first, it made me sad, like he was walking away and saying goodbye...and then the lyrics "I'll return someday" made my eyes well up. I think the thing I love most about BTS and the members music (group and solo) is that it's absolutely open to interpretation.
I knew you'd appreciate this one! It's also a great day to post this video, since it was just announced today that RM has a new album coming out May 24! I also love how he juxtaposes the imagery of fireworks and wildflowers in this song. Flowerwork is a play on these two and I think his commitment to living these two lives: blazing across the sky as the global superstar and humble and grounded in a field of many as the person Kim Namjoon.
Which KPOP artists should we check out next? 🗯️
Should we check out more RM songs? 🗯️
Pls can you react to a Vietnamese group called Uni5 as they are just so underated
Yes Plizz ...Persona is a song by RM .:Persona.. ..........Suga:...Shadow...J.Hope.:Ego....is based by Carl Jung psihology....
You should react to V too, any song, his music is amazing and different, then maybe more BTS
🔮💜🔮💜🔮💜🔮💜😘😘😘😘😘😘
Yesssssss!!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I’ll definitely be reacting to it when it comes out! ☺️
@Allonsyyyy I would love that but please respect the 24 hour rule 💜
I’m so excited!! 😭💜💜
Youjeen came out of retirement when she agreed to be on RM track. She was the front woman of the South Korean Rock Band called Cherry Filter.
Yes. You could see her shaking when she was performing live with him in that private show. She had submitted everything online. So the practice before the performance was actually the first time that she had sung with him in person. She was striving to be at her best for him. I'm so grateful that he introduced her to those of us that had not learned of her yet.
Jin so accurately called him "sexy brain"
😂yeah he is no doubt
Yessss,
😂😂
For someone who doesn't know BTS for so long, man, you got the message spot on. Everyone admires Namjoon's genius brain--we could all agree his word play, his poetry...he's a masterpiece! And I love how intuitive your thoughts are, you absorb, you interpret the song so quickly. You catch on them and get the meaning like how an ARMY would think because at certain point you just get them. I like it when people think deeply and try to get to the bottom of things. More power to your channel! 🎉😊
I love how you say “This is one of my favorite so far!” with each new solo song 😂 let’s us know when your ready to accept your army card
I was just thinking the same thing. I took my card after endlessly listening to D Day. All this started with me loving Golden. They are insanely talented.
That’s me every comeback lol
Hey I've been an ARMY since a very long time (like... 9 years) but I still don't know what an ARMY card is !
@@Carmen-pj5hd
It’s a symbolic representation of being ARMY. 🧍♀️
@@girlscott411 where can I get one ??
With an IQ of 148, RM could have done anything, yet he choose to gift us with his music & poetry.
Yeah just like RM is also at the center of "ARMY"
We will never get over Wild Flower. This is the Real RM. Love it so much.
Mahalo RM!
❤❤❤
This is perfectly said. Thank you. 💜
Bicycle...Hectic...Still...life........ ......Yun..Tokyo...Badbye. ...Forever Rain
...and forever rain.
Dang all my fav. You and i have similar taste
@michelinemcknight754 yes I forgot
Excellent essay. Thank you, Army!
Looking forward to it 💜💜💜
the way you became my fav bts reaction RUclipsr in just a few videos, your commentary is always so nice and you try to really understand the boys
Thank you for posting this, I’ll keep supporting you from France ! ☝🏻
Ah thank you so much for the kind words! So glad to hear you enjoy the videos 🙏💙
Came here to say the same! I like your take on the music and lyrics, good insights 😊
I love your reactions. Heartfelt and so intelligent. I know the subs are flooding in, but please don't change your reaction style.
thank you for this , this was amazing !! i will be waiting for yo to react to his whole album- "Indigo " literal masterpiece !
I really, really love how much you pay attention to the lyrics. Lyrics are so essential to any BTS music.
Have you watched any of their films or documentaries? They give a really good insight into what life is like for our boys.
That's sad.
Just got a notification on Weverse this morning about RMs new album coming out in May :D
You are very impressive. You got it without knowing any of RM's background !
RM is unique
indigo is a work of art, literally
I would suggest his Tiny Desk Concert as he explains the inspirations behind the songs. The album Indigo is beautiful and powerful as one would expect from Namjoon. When I heard it for the first time I had was laying on sofa in my studio with the album playing on my Hi fi system. It made me then look at the MV for the full lyric's. It's one of my RM Favourites.
RM is literally a genius! He's the pillar of bts as a leader and even if he has millions of fans, he's still underrated for what he truly is.
Loving how each member is blowing your mind with their words and style…. Love each and every member BTS FOREVER 7 :)x 💜
RM is simply one of the best lyricist not only in kpop but whole music industry.
You nailed this reaction sir
Namjoon is just beyond description
Just hear about his announcement of the second album soo happy ..no doubt then will be a pure art of masterpiece like usual 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
(Jungkook joined the same agency as he had been so impressed the first time he saw RM perform...)
Throughout 2008-2010 , RM (Runch Randa or Randa ) was mentioned multiple times by other rappers in their songs mostly complimenting RM or wishing they had skills or fame as him.
Thank you choosing Wild flower. RM is my favorite. He is a poet, intelligent, has musical abilities. BTS is lucky to have RM as a leader.
I love Youjeen's voice also. For me her voice is the fireworks bursting forth
RM is a poet and also quite jazzy👌💜💜
Yo viendo el video hasta la parte que dice esto es una de las cosas más maravillosas que he visto y podría ser mi favorita jijiji
His whole Album “Indigo” is brilliant and filled with a wide variety of genres and meaningful lyrics and guests! 💜
Kim Namjoon is indeed a lyrical genius 🫶🏾💜 absolutely love this song and husband project. More music from him coming soon. Watch his Tiny desk though 🫶🏾
This song never fails to evoke emotions from me. Chokes me up a little every single time.
this is why our leader is different, the first person who always thinks about BTS and ARMY, he really knows what sound he needs in the album, he says if "Youjeen " does not agree to sing in this song he will change all the lyrics into English, he really select the artist from all place (underground artist, Korea, US, legend). this man is the definition of knowledge.
RM is a poet. ALSO... It was JUST ANNOUNCED that RM's second solo album is being released! It's called "Right Place, Wrong Person".
The title track from his album indigo
He has described it as the story of his twenties. 10 tracks in 10 genres with incredible features…. He has video covering the tracks with his commentary and the comments of featured artists… amazing true but rm has always shared his thought processes in creating songs and albums… an intelligent poet who shares his vision and views
💜🇨🇦
man, every time he reacts to a BTS solo song he be like "this is my favorite song in k-pop " hh i don't blame him BTS discography is crazy good!.
Actually RM is so genius and very creative in a way, he is one of the secret of the biggest success of BTS. Because of his personality and very supportive to the group and to it's member individually, BTS treat like a family ❤❤❤
The WHOLE ALBUM is amazing, it is his goodbye to his 20s RM is my bias 💜💜
oh what would i'd give just to hear this masterpiece for the first time again 🥹💜 he just announced his upcoming solo album 'right place, wrong person' on May 24th and he said before that the songs in there will be much better than his previous album, indigo 🤯
💜
The lyrics so so deep and thought provoking, the poetry at display is enchanting and mesmerizing
I have the entire album In different playlists.
widflower is sooo beautiful. the first 2 weeks i just cried whenever i play this. INDIGO is art!! i cant wait for RPWP 💜
Merci d'avoir eut une réaction enthousiaste, RM est un artiste complet , des moments de bonheurs à l'écouter
RM is a poet first before a rapper. All his lyrics are his poetry. I love this song and MV so much 💜 it is truly a masterpiece
RM- Joke
I LOVE how you put thought about the meaning of this songs and you always catch them just right! I would suggest the whole álbum Indigo by RM ! but if u want something diferent, he has a Tiny Desk Live, where he performs some of his older solo songs and some new from Indigo (wild flower is from this album)
Nice reaction RM is so brilliant🥰💜💜💜
Wildflower is perfect! And rm is about to drop an alternative album 🥲. Our leader is coming!!
He is one of the greatest poets & lyricists of this era. His albums are like artwork & like a rolodex of great music & messages.
Although I love all the songs, here are some suggestions so that you can decide for yourself whether you would like to listen to the whole album:
Mono: Seoul, Moonchild, Forever rain
Indigo: Closer, All Day, Still Life, Yun
Also, his second official album is going to be released on 24th of May.
RM is truly a lyrical genius: "My start was poetry, my one and only dream that protected me so far".
Made me cry the first time and still my eyes tear up a little every time. He is a poet set to music. Yoojean is a Korean rock singer. 💜
This song always gives me goosebumps.
He just announced a new album an hour ago 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This song had me choked up...almost crying. At first, it made me sad, like he was walking away and saying goodbye...and then the lyrics "I'll return someday" made my eyes well up. I think the thing I love most about BTS and the members music (group and solo) is that it's absolutely open to interpretation.
This song makes me emotional sometimes, he truly has a way of writing that feels like his soul was laid out just for us to see.
beautiful poetry and the vulnerability just captured so many hearts..
I love that your break down the lyrics! I learn something new every time I hear you break them down. Thanks!
