I'm sure that each image will stay in your head for a long time... this presentation was as if the pandemic had been preached because it was the best of all!! Totally unbeatable 🔥🔥
Mikrokosmos was a pre-recorded song, so that they had time to do an outfit change for the next part. It just played on the screen for the audience, but they did use AR to insert the galaxy over the audience.
They had often in past award shows done 'teasers' for upcoming albums. So army were used to dissecting their performances to find hidden easter eggs for upcoming releases. This show was different, in just how much stage time they had, and the amount of production as well. In fact, at the last Grammy performance they did (performing Butter), they had some teasers going on in the back, which ARMY speculate is a tease for the album they will release after they come back in 2025. Award shows have always been full of surprises.
I've probably watched this performance at least 50 times with how many reactions I've watched and it never gets old. It's not just one of BTS' best award show performances, it's one of the best award show performances of any artist period.
More like 500 honestly 😂 this performance is our PRIDE. Like no one can convince me any other artist/group that could top this performance. The quality the production the hard work and EVERYTHING that goes into this! Yup best performance ever
With BTS there is a reason for everything! Here's something else about the last performance that will blow your mind: Taehyung - Apollo (God of Sun) / Song: No More Dream (2013) Seokjin - Ares (God of War) / Song: Danger (2014) Jimin - Artemis (God of Moon) / Song: I Need U (2015) Yoongi - Hephaestus (God of Fire) / Song: Fire (2016) Jungkook - Poseidon (God of Water) / Song: Save Me (2017) Hoseok - Zeus (God of Thunder) / Song: Fake Love (2018) Namjoon - Dionysus (God of Wine) / Song: Dionysus (2019)
yes, and the individual lights that represented each member formed the corona borealis constellation and is also the crown that dionysus gave to his wife.
Someone pointed out once that Artemis and Apollo are twins - the moon and the sun. Tae and Jimin’s dance during the dance break mirrors each other. My brain pretty much imploded when that was mentioned to me.
@@btsjoy7 and OF COURSE the two of them are twins that are connected yet complete opposites. I’ve seen Artemis and Apollo described as inseparable yet different. Which… yes.
Jimin went viral for that SOLO LIVE and his portrait was displayed in a lot of art studios, music studios, dance studios and an author used the painting as her book cover first ever book on kpop dance theory and practice. Jimin is mesmerizing, majestic, angelic etc etc etc. All the boys did great. This award shiw performace was iconic. The performance before this were also iconic. Please watch them too.
Every time I watch this, I can only think about one thing: The way that I see this performance... is that this is the attention and shine and recognition for all their years of not being taken seriously. It's the acknowledgement of all their past hard work and good music. Their debut year and the few years after that before they exploded and expanded the scene, were such a struggle for them. A lot of their older music got pushed down by the industry and they weren't given the respect and the recognition they deserved. Seeing their entire career, everything from No More Dream/We Are Bulletproof pt. 2, to 2019 laid out like that. It was like all their efforts and all their hard work and all their ignored performances finally got to have their limelight. To me, it felt like they were saying, "This is what you all (not Army's of course) ignored for years. This is the energy that we were bringing from the beginning." This performance is a masterpiece. It's something I consider to be the acknowledgement for all their hardships and all their mistreatment. They're saying, "This is who we are. This is what you made us into. Because of you, (the people who tried to put them down and the people who stuck by them), this is how far we've come. This is what we've been able to accomplish." I feel like they're always saying that. Whether it be with words, lyrics, or performances. Knowing that the industry tried to hide them away, tried to pretend they'd be nothing, knowing all that but still seeing them coming on the stage with THIS energy. It 100% feels like a statement. It's the statement that they didn't need the industry to make it happen. They did it on their own. They forged their own path and got to where they are because they put in effort like this. They exhaust themselves for their art. They put their heart and souls into their work and it shines through. BTS and their entire team are the hardest workers. They have put so much time, money, and effort into making sure that Army's hear their message. To express their thoughts and feelings in this way takes a lot of courage and a lot of strength. I applaud BTS for sticking through all of the hard times and all of the days where they thought they couldn't keep going. COVID was so tough for them. It put a wrench in a lot of their plans. Their 2020 tour and military service. I truly feel for the sadness and confusion and other emotions it caused our guys. All of the music and content we got since COVID and all the stuff they tirelessly worked on before enlisting... I will always feel grateful and appreciate that they pushed through, that they couldn't leave us without giving us something. Their love for Army is so palpable. It's indescribable. I can't wait to see them all back in 2025 and I will always support them. Having Seokjin back is like a breath of fresh air. I can't wait for everyone to come back to us and come back to each other. I love all my seven. They are so precious to me. Thank you for watching this. I hope more and more and more people can see just how hardworking and caring these guys are. They are so, so, so precious to me.
Thank you for your wonderful comment! It gave me a new perspective of their performance and will certainly be watching it again! I became ARMY in May 2022 but my heart feels like I have loved them since the beginning.
@@btsjoy7 I'm so happy I was able to have an impact on the way someone enjoys bts! That's so nice to hear! 💜 I've been an army since late 2016 and it's honestly been such a wild ride. I have loved every moment of supporting bts and their success is so deserved. I've always wanted to have known them from debut but me in 2013 wasn't ready for them. It all worked out 🥹 I found them eventually. I'm so happy you found them when you did 💜💜💜💜
@@teri1479 I agree! He never went even 30 seconds without talking over the boys! So annoying - and it's not like he is so knowledgeable that he's actually telling us anything - just stop!
12:35 those 'guys' are Yeonjun and Soobin from TXT. They are the first group to debut under Bighit after BTS and they really are worth checking out! People like to compare them to Bts 'cus of this but they are so good regardless. All five of them in the group really look up to their hyungs in bts.
My daughter got me into BTS, then she got into TXT, so for her bday in 2023 I took her to Lollapalooza to see TXT. We both had a blast - they are very talented as well!
I was cracking up at you losing it in min 11 of your video knowing that it only gets more intense and amazing. You need energy just to watch along with their performances!
For me, and I’m 65 and spent my teens and twenties going to stadium concerts and clubs, this was the greatest live performance I’ve ever seen, regardless of era or genre, bar none. A towering accomplishment.
Everytime I hear someone said that they make it look effortless I feel so proud... cause I remember how many times they've need oxygen behind the scene in concerts and still looked like that on the stage. They are amazing artists
This performance was so massive and amazing especially when you stop to think that it was supposed to be one of thier last performances before going into the military. (that was the original plan for them to start after the big world tour in 2020) So it was like here ARMY, heres an amazing big grand performance b4 we go 💜💜
That is the most amazing performance I’ve ever watched from an artist! this is the reason why I love BTS so much! so much talent and creativity, they pour their hearts into everything they do!
Some parts were pre-recorded, Mikrokosmos being one of them. I’d definitely recommend MMA 2018 and 2020 💜 Also live performances of Idol, So What, I’m Fine, Outro:Tear and Blue and Grey into Black Swan. All absolutely amazing performances! Looks like you might need to see the mv for Fire! 😊 Also, you say it looks effortless. The reason it looks effortless is the endless hours of training and practising that goes into it. To be able to dance heavy choreo and sing at the same time takes crazy stamina.
Some performances were pre recorded but Jimin’s I need you dance was live. They are such a great performers. I lost count on how many times I watched this and I am in awe each time!
The lights in the sky during MikroKosmos are drones. They could definitely see them in the stadium. Bang Si Hyuk, Big Hit’s CEO had the foresight to invest in a company that was developing drone technology. So the drones at BTS shows got progressively more sophisticated.
That performance was not live, it was pre-recorded and displayed on the screens in the stadium that's how the audience could see all these special effects, but yes the lights were drones 😅💜 the solos were also pre-recorded except Jimin's and RM's
@@XevertiTrue that the solos were pre-recorded live for the broadcast and Jimin and Namjoon performed their parts live for the broadcast, but the others performed live for the stadium fans. You can see in the fan and that they are in their black suits that they were in the Dionysus performance at the end. Even JK came out on the dark stage while his water performance was showing on the screens to dance along for the fans.
23:55 - no more dream bts 24:45 - danger bts 26:12 - I need you bts 27:55 - fire bts 28:58 - save me bts 30:05 - fake love bts 31:05 - Dionysus bts 39:10 - n.o bts
I think this WAS the most epic BTS performance, and it’s still (as you can see) jaw droppingly crazy. But I think their Yet to Come concert in Busan 2022 (many parts of which are available on RUclips) gives MMA 2019 a run for its money.
🔆🍷”Dionysus” was the last song BTS performed, so all members performed solo pieces representing different g-d’s. In the actual song they sing, the lyrics, as always, are quite deep& meaningful! "In Hangul the Korean word for alcohol closely resembles the word for art!! So like BTS does so often, it's sort of a play on words, a metaphor, like filling themselves on art or getting drunk on art! Rejoicing reveling in the process of creating and being fully enmeshed in it!! We all know that Dionysus was the G-d of drink, pleasure, debauchery, as well as decadence, but indeed there is another more creative side like also fertility, birth which is also indeed a form of creating. He was also the g-d or wine grape harvest growth! Many interpretations that can be correlated with the song! Dionysus, was so much more then the harvester of grapes vegetation, & creator of wine! Dionysus was the only Olympian with a mortal mother, because he was raised on the mythical Mount Nysa (which was believed to be either far to the south or the east), and because he wandered Asia before arriving in Greece, Dionysus was seen as an outsider. This was an inherent part of his cult, which often focused on the more subversive elements of his nature. Dionysus was often called Eleutherios, meaning “the liberator,” because his wine, music, and ecstatic dance freed his followers from self-consciousness and the restraints of society. Indeed, as the “twice-born” god, Dionysus had crossed the boundary between life and death, and he was often portrayed as the god who crossed the boundary between the civilized and uncivilized and the known and unknown. He was represented as a god of chaos and the protector of misfits. 👍❤🔥😍🔥
❣️Jimin’s solo performance, wearing a modernized hanbok just fastened by ties only, had many different dance elements in it! Including the barrel leaps taken from Korean dance elements, some martial arts elements, (trained for 8 yrs in various forms w/blackbelt in Taekwondo), & of course contemporary dance. Also, equally ever so stunningly outstanding, was Jimin's scarf work, which is alone so hard to master, without getting that ever so thin veil of a scarf all tangled! Jimin somehow was able to make the scarf one with himself, using it as an extension, even at one point when he did that amazing jump leap straight up the scarf becoming his wings!! Jimin's whole performance was so amazingly stunningly beautiful. Just so effortlessly breathtakingly mesmerizing to see!! Though the other members did a version of their solo performances for benefit of the live audiences, for the broadcast version as seen here, viewer see the prerecorded version, that was prerecorded the day before, since especially JK’s performance in water with that heavy tank that weighed a ton wouldn’t be able to maneuver for live audience, as well as some of the other effects seen like for Mikrokosmos, also the part with the horses was obviously prerecorded as a safeguard for the horses. It also gave a chance for BTS come up for air as well as give them time to change. Jimin was the only one who didn’t have the benefit of prerecorded VCR, which meant that for his solo performance by the broadcasted version, viewers saw Jimin perform live only. While the broadcast version showed for rest of members the prerecorded version. But once again the live audience did get an opportunity to see BTS members do a version of their solos.👍🙏❤️🔥🔥🫠🥰😇🤩🌟✨💫
I agree with you that Suga was born to be on stage, he goes absolutely fire live. Also, considering he doesn't like to dance that much and he was still suffering from that old shoulder injury here, he really went all out and even dropped backwards of that table stage prop, trusting that someone would catch him. They are one of the World Wonders and there is nothing like them out there, so unique and crazy talented, all 7 of them. This performance was epic and probably will never have its equal - although the 2020 MMA 'Black Swan' performance was breathtaking as well. Jimin's, JHope's and Jungkook's dance performance solos were all so different, but so beautiful, I am still in awe years later. Thank you for reacting to this jewel in the BTS crown.
As Jin would say, "YA!" I had to wait to watch this (for possibly the 150th time). As everyone always says, "oh yeah....this is an AWARDS SHOW" (not actually a BTS concert). These performances are works of art.
I think I've seen this performance at least 50 times and I cant get enough and I dont ever get bored. It is just EPIC. The more you watch, the better it becomes. Something like no other for sure. Western artists and not only should really take some notes, cuz this was 5 years ago and it is still an unmatched performance! KINGS!
Most of this EPIC performance was pre-recorded days before the show aired just because of the sheer logistics and production of it all, but the award show itself was broadcast live. BTS pre-records performances to be aired on Korean television while inviting Armys to attend and enjoy the pre-recordings. They also bring gifts to be handed out to the Armys who were lucky enough to be selected through a lottery to attend. If I'm not mistaken, the planning for this project took 3 months.
@@deerogerson6480actually bigger portion of it was pre-recorded which is not a bad thing! Intro: persona, mikrokosmos, all the solos except Jimin's and RM's and the intro of Dionysus were all recorded prior, so like 60%
❣️This was from the annual Melon Music Awards, a Korean award show the equivalent to the Billboard Awards. BTS swept the awards, thus closed the award show, though many other artists did indeed perform beforehand. The cost of the production for BTS entertainment company BigHit, was over 500K dollars, and all the in-house production team of BigHit started planning it over half a yr beforehand! Also most of the rehearsal time that BTS had, was while they were touring worldwide. But they all were quite into doing this, and somehow managed to fit in the rehearsal like they did the yr before. The only one who performed live only, without benefit of VCR being shown, for the broadcasted version, was Jimin, who shows here being the phenomenal, outstanding, ever so breathtakingly amazing professional dancer he is, which he was even before joining BTS. His performance was beyond mesmerizing, so poised & elegant of a dancer. With the exception of Jimin, all the other solo performances were prerecorded live, with smaller audience the day before, since there was no way to have these stage sets and tank pool of water let alone have JK who was performing the dance in water get dried and change clothes beforehand! Although, all the members performed a live version of their solo dance, for the live audience, while the VCR was playing the prerecorded version that the broadcast, & or online audience saw. Also certain songs like Mikrokosmos were performed live beforehand, as well, so they could also allow for the special effects that only people who saw the broadcast on TV in South Korea or had it stream worldwide could see that version. Also the part with the live horses was filmed beforehand without an audience.👍🙏❤️🔥🔥🫠🤩😍🌟✨💫
Most iconic and epic performance ever!!! Also it's funny during RM's solo intro that you said it's like summoning gods, because the song Dionysus is based on the greek god of wine and arts. The song is about artists getting drunk on their art and how they can't stop drinking it.
The boys each represented a Greek Gods. V was Apollo, Jin as Athena/Ares, Jimin as Artemis, Suga as Hephaestus, Jungkook as Posideon, J-Hope as Zues, and RM as Dionysus.
Im glad you finally understand why we go so hard with this performance. It was funny watching you loose your mind as it got more intense. Im sure you'll see it in the comments but the reason why they went above and beyond was because they were planning on enlisting after the Map of the Soul era which included the the album drop and its promotion, this award performance and the world tour, but Covid unexpectly took over the world and plans was postponed while the world tour was cancelled.
I just had to subscribe to you. I truly like that you are so amazed by our Boys and you just starting out but know every Name of them. A lot of creators when starting out get them always wrong in the beginning. You Sir already a Army! Welcome to the BTS Army and enjoy the ride. Greeting from a 60 year old German Granny Army out of South Carolina USA. 💜
I love the different arrangements of their songs live. I wish they had those available. Also, as many others have already said, this is the most iconic awards performances. And yes, the ones reacting are other idols/musicians/groups.
35:08 the parts with the horses were also prerecorded, I’m sure other ARMYS already mentioned that this performance is a combination of pre recorded and live material and the horses were not experiencing the cheers and loud sounds etc
I've watched this performance so many times and I still love watching it. Each and every BTS member shines every time! They give it their all! They have amazing staff members who are so creative and talented, too! Some videos show4i how exhausted they are after performances. Although all their performances at the MMAs are wonderful every year, 2019 is the best. .
I’m so glad you took some time to go through their discography before watching this because you totally appreciated the journey from their old songs to present day. I’ve been waiting for you to react to this and you did not disappoint! 💜
They pre-recorded the following stages - 1. Namjoon’s opening solo intro persona 2. Mikrokosmos 3. Their solo stages 4. The Dionysus intro bit with the horses (obviously so they aren’t spooked or harmed during the actual award show w/ the noise & pyrotechnics) BUT except for Mikrokosmos & jungkook’s solo stage (due to water), they were still performing them live on stage even though the broadcast & the screens showed the pre-recorded version Also i think jimin’s solo stage in the broadcast & official performance video on youtube is actually what he performed live & not the pre-recorded version
Jimin’s solo stage was not pre-recorded. He performed live. We have behind footage where JK watched it as Jimin performs from behind stage and is baffled when staff tell him it’s live.
@@alialex8825 there’s a whole bangtan episode for the behinds of the award show. They prerecorded all the solo stages. But all of them except jungkook still performed live in their final Dionysus outfits during the award show. The difference for jimin’s solo stage is that instead of the pre-recorded one, his actual performance during the award show was broadcasted & is part of the performance video I’ve watched both versions of if so i know.
@@JiminsCalico13Luna I had to check because I knew I saw that Jimin specifically noted he’s “pre-shoot” was practise only and he would do his best performance the next. And I knew I saw JK reacting in surprise to realize Jimin was performing live. It’s not in a Bangtan bomb though. It’s in the 2019 Memories disc with the November content. I just re watched it. Jimin indeed performed his solo stage live. He was the only one to do so.
after watching it, let us know if you think that question from the begining is still standing cuz... how else would you describe this? :))) It was EVERYTHING! This just showed the dedication they have for their craft and the love and respect they have for their fans. They always said they want us to be proud calling ourselves BTS fans, and they always do things to make sure they can back that up. We love them for everything they represent, their love, their attention, their hard work. Our 7 FOREVER!
Ok.. got home and watched it. Your reaction was amazing qs always. BTS is just incredible.. They were representing Greek Gods.. V: Apollo - God of the sun and brother of Artemis Jin: Athena - God of war and justice. Jimin: Artemis - God of the Moon and twin of Apolo. So fitting for the soulmates Vmin 😍 Suga: Hephaestus - God of fire JK: Poisedon - God of the sea Jhope: Zeus - God of Thunder RM: Dionysus - God of wine, festivities, fertility. The lights forms the constelation of Corona Borealis. Its the same shape of the crown that Dionysius gave to Aradne on their wedding day.
fun fact in this perimance ther was a small mess up in the performance jimins chair wasnt push close enough so he just sat down on air the dancer behind him just pushed the chair in under him you cant see it from this camera but you can look it up on youtube a good video is from SugArmyy the video is called HOW did Jimin Handle this accident so well!? 【MMA 2019】
It's really cool to see a man over 30, almost the same age as them, married, father, reacting to them like that. I love your reactions!!!! If you can, watch a video of their show here in Brazil in 2019. It was epic. I wasn't in the army yet. JHope received a standing ovation!!! look for Show BTS Allianz 2019. 😁 There are so many wonderful kpop things for you to react to. Look at &Team, Riize, Day6 (band), CNBlue (band), Lucy (band), 2Z (band) and more The Rose!!!!
0:28 All of thurr MMA peformances are iconic my favorites is the 2018 one because of fake love peformance you should check the memebers slos peformances to they are legendary like Jungkook standing next to you and closer to you live peformace Jimin filter and V tiny desk
I was so happy to look this performance again with you! They are really amazing! Only if you don't know their talent and their hard work for every performance you say you don't like BTS! All 7 of them shined and all 7 of them did an outstanding performance! I always said there shoul be invented words that can describe their talent as singers and performers! Thank you for your reaction, I'm sure you are never ever gonna forget this experience! Greetings from Romania 💜🇹🇩
That enter shikari reference made my day and I may have clapped 3 times. Unfortunately, this remix of fake love is not out. I wish they would make a compil of concert remixes because they frankly SLAP.
I unironically watch this exact performance from time to time just because it’s that insane. Sometimes I just need to remind myself that I actually stan absolute legends and no one can actually come close to what bts did here. I’m not trying to shade any other Kpop group or idol but for real BTS is for the history books!
It should be noted that this was intended to be a bit of a swan song for BTS. The next year they were going to drop their album (Map of the Soul 7), do a world tour and then off to the military. And just a few months after this performance in early 2020, the world shut down and every plan they had got scrapped. In a way this was a goodbye to the MMAs for them, because they didn't think they'd be back for a while. Instead, they released another album, broke into the U.S. market, had their military service postponed, became a beacon of hope to so many of us during the dark days of 2020-21 and became even bigger megastars! While I love this performance I watch it and think about what was going through their heads at the time. They had no idea the heartache and then the megasuccess that would follow. And they already had achieved so much!
Gracias
Finally. We all react the same way. iI have watched this so many times and I can´t stop watching it. Glad that you got to watch it and it should be seen in one session. A masterpeice truely
@cjayj442 I don't think there was anyone performing after that, but for sure, the next year I would've been like... if it's not more than last year's BTS performance, I'm not going 🤣
I personally think their more intimate live concert performances, especially army time, best encompass everything about BTS that makes them the artists Army values so much.
So fun watching you watch this! If you weren’t already in love with Jimin, this does you in for sure. And the outfits on V. And the pure badassness of RM. And the confidence from JK. And the majesty of Jin. And the giant swag energy of Suga. And the epitome of performance perfection that is j-hooope! I’m gonna have to get on Patreon for you watching Red Bullet Tour. I saw it first time this past Festa, and even then they have something so special about them and you can see their dedication and talent. We are blessed to live in the time of BTS!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I was so lucky because I discovered BTS like a week before this performance actually happened and so I decided to watch it as soon as it hit RUclips and the rest is history
BTS is truly incredible, I’ve watched this many times before but still give me goosebumps every time. Each of them have their own unique style and personality and when they come together they are a power house. Discovering BTS was the best thing I witnessed and I firstly started watching them I truly thought they were from a different universe, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and hearing. Each song they sing hits different every time they sing, MV’s are one thing and choreographed videos are another and and live performances are completely different it’s just mind blowing, I absolutely love their raspy voice when they sing live, I have gotten bias wrecked by them many times that I lost count. The bond that BTS and ARMY have is truly remarkable never witnessed before and I don’t think I ever will see it again. I am really enjoying your BTS reactions, so thank you for sharing your thoughts with us 🙏.
BTS changed the game on award show performances. They are so good, so incredible. I believe Taylor Swift saw how they practiced and what they did for award shows and said she had to step up her game. She mentioned something close to that after being on they same award show as BTS.
I think this was gonna be there last performance before their enlistment in the military. That's why they reflected to their 7 years discography and made this performance so leJINdary. But COVID came and thanks to that they released Dynamite and their album BE and delayed their enlistment.
34:28 you'd be correct, sir. They won all the major awards for that year. And this performance closed the show, so they had already taken all of the awards by then and pretty much proved why they had a clean sweep 😂
I would say it is the best award performance ever not only by BTS but in general... It was at another level. I don't know if it is the best live ever but it is for sure the best live from award show ever. But all their award shows performances from 2018 were also legendary, there were 4 (?), 2016 one too...
I've watched this so many times and yet every time I rewatch it, I have forgotten how extra the build up to Dionysus is 🤣 They asked "how much imagery do you want?" and Hybe said "yes"
You're right there was another group there, because it was an awards show, they appeared before BTS and BTS performers in the last part, after BTS performed, then the nominations and group winners were read at MMA
This was amazing! I totally agree. I would look at their last performance before they all started leaving for the military. The Busan concert blew me away. I miss them so much and wish we didnt have to wait longer. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

This show was different, in just how much stage time they had, and the amount of production as well. In fact, at the last Grammy performance they did (performing Butter), they had some teasers going on in the back, which ARMY speculate is a tease for the album they will release after they come back in 2025. Award shows have always been full of surprises.
I LOVE ALL MMA AND BTS MAMA PERFORMANCES 😊
I've probably watched this performance at least 50 times with how many reactions I've watched and it never gets old. It's not just one of BTS' best award show performances, it's one of the best award show performances of any artist period.
Me too
Same here😂💜💜
Same
More like 500 honestly 😂 this performance is our PRIDE. Like no one can convince me any other artist/group that could top this performance. The quality the production the hard work and EVERYTHING that goes into this! Yup best performance ever
Same 😅
How generous of BTS to let the awards show happen in the middle of their concert 😊💜
😂😂🤣🤣🤣👍👍
=0p
With BTS there is a reason for everything! Here's something else about the last performance that will blow your mind:
Taehyung - Apollo (God of Sun) / Song: No More Dream (2013)
Seokjin - Ares (God of War) / Song: Danger (2014)
Jimin - Artemis (God of Moon) / Song: I Need U (2015)
Yoongi - Hephaestus (God of Fire) / Song: Fire (2016)
Jungkook - Poseidon (God of Water) / Song: Save Me (2017)
Hoseok - Zeus (God of Thunder) / Song: Fake Love (2018)
Namjoon - Dionysus (God of Wine) / Song: Dionysus (2019)
yes, and the individual lights that represented each member formed the corona borealis constellation and is also the crown that dionysus gave to his wife.
Someone pointed out once that Artemis and Apollo are twins - the moon and the sun. Tae and Jimin’s dance during the dance break mirrors each other. My brain pretty much imploded when that was mentioned to me.
@@suebee0619 OMG now I have to watch it again!
@@btsjoy7 and OF COURSE the two of them are twins that are connected yet complete opposites. I’ve seen Artemis and Apollo described as inseparable yet different. Which… yes.
Wow! Thank you for listing that out.
“Dude they are summoning the devil here.” And seeing Suga appearing after that just cracks me up 😂
hehe
I'm so happy you found them when you did 💜💜💜💜
YES! YES! And million times YES! Love one and every single word you say!

Dancing like CRAZY and yet singing live HEAVEN! Kings!
Every time I watch this I think "they must feel SO nice to take that seat at the end"😂
They took every main award for the night! They didn’t get to rest because of being called up to get another award!
Do you ever be quiet when a video is playing? Because you haven’t yet!
@@teri1479 Ummm.. Did you HEAR me scream or what?
@@teri1479 I agree! He never went even 30 seconds without talking over the boys! So annoying - and it's not like he is so knowledgeable that he's actually telling us anything - just stop!
12:35 those 'guys' are Yeonjun and Soobin from TXT. They are the first group to debut under Bighit after BTS and they really are worth checking out! People like to compare them to Bts 'cus of this but they are so good regardless. All five of them in the group really look up to their hyungs in bts.
jimin calls them the babies i find that the cutest thing ever
My daughter got me into BTS, then she got into TXT, so for her bday in 2023 I took her to Lollapalooza to see TXT. We both had a blast - they are very talented as well!
They put the Grammys to shame!
FACTS!
The Scammys are so overrated
(that was the original plan for them to start after the big world tour in 2020)
So it was like here ARMY, heres an amazing big grand performance b4 we go 💜💜
That is the most amazing performance I’ve ever watched from an artist! this is the reason why I love BTS so much! so much talent and creativity, they pour their hearts into everything they do!
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻❣️
Jimin is ruining my life!😂😂😂 He ruined mine five years ago, and I am not complaining!

Thank you for this erudite and informed appreciation. I have watched this many, many times, but am a dance dunce. 💜
Yes. That performance of Black Swan is magnificent.
If I'm not mistaken, the planning for this project took 3 months.
hm. definitely not most. maybe 40%
Honestly, I would've thought it cost at least 3 million, easy. The stage was so epic
I always wondered why the horses weren't freaking out.
And the lights dropping are the shape of the constellation Dionysus 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
"jimin's ruining my life" 😂
Most iconic and epic performance ever!!! Also it's funny during RM's solo intro that you said it's like summoning gods, because the song Dionysus is based on the greek god of wine and arts. The song is about artists getting drunk on their art and how they can't stop drinking it.
this entire performance still remains incredible, words don't even do it justice, I love it so much :]
23:45 have to keep reminding ourselves whenever we watch this type shows LoL
Although all their performances at the MMAs are wonderful every year, 2019 is the best. .
As a Jimin bias his solo dance is my fave part, but the whole thing is quite mind-blowing!
I’m so glad you took some time to go through their discography before watching this because you totally appreciated the journey from their old songs to present day. I’ve been waiting for you to react to this and you did not disappoint! 💜
They pre-recorded the following stages -
1. Namjoon’s opening solo intro persona
2. Mikrokosmos
3. Their solo stages
4. The Dionysus intro bit with the horses (obviously so they aren’t spooked or harmed during the actual award show w/ the noise & pyrotechnics)
BUT except for Mikrokosmos & jungkook’s solo stage (due to water), they were still performing them live on stage even though the broadcast & the screens showed the pre-recorded version
Also i think jimin’s solo stage in the broadcast & official performance video on youtube is actually what he performed live & not the pre-recorded version
The difference for jimin’s solo stage is that instead of the pre-recorded one, his actual performance during the award show was broadcasted & is part of the performance video
I’ve watched both versions of if so i know.
Jimin performed live live live!!!! Only him performed LIVE. JK perormed at the side without the water. They didnt even noticed him bcoz it was dark.
after watching it, let us know if you think that question from the begining is still standing cuz... how else would you describe this? :))) It was EVERYTHING! This just showed the dedication they have for their craft and the love and respect they have for their fans. They always said they want us to be proud calling ourselves BTS fans, and they always do things to make sure they can back that up. We love them for everything they represent, their love, their attention, their hard work. Our 7 FOREVER!
"Are you ready to get hyped up?" MORE???
Ok.. got home and watched it. Your reaction was amazing qs always. BTS is just incredible..
They were representing Greek Gods..
V: Apollo - God of the sun and brother of Artemis
Jin: Athena - God of war and justice.
Jimin: Artemis - God of the Moon and twin of Apolo. So fitting for the soulmates Vmin 😍
Suga: Hephaestus - God of fire
JK: Poisedon - God of the sea
Jhope: Zeus - God of Thunder
RM: Dionysus - God of wine, festivities, fertility.
The lights forms the constelation of Corona Borealis. Its the same shape of the crown that Dionysius gave to Aradne on their wedding day.

This was supposed to be their last MMA performance before they went to the military,so they went all out.
Unfortunately, 2020 happened.
Gracias

I would've packed it up and went home, of I was an idol performing after them
@cjayj442 I don't think there was anyone performing after that, but for sure, the next year I would've been like... if it's not more than last year's BTS performance, I'm not going 🤣
It just leaves you jaw-dropped no matter how many times you watch it.
Thanks for your great reaction.
They're the legends i swear
I personally think their more intimate live concert performances, especially army time, best encompass everything about BTS that makes them the artists Army values so much.
Love your reaction 💜mama 2019 this one is amazing too
ICONIC PERFORMANCE FOREVER
So fun watching you watch this! If you weren’t already in love with Jimin, this does you in for sure. And the outfits on V. And the pure badassness of RM. And the confidence from JK. And the majesty of Jin. And the giant swag energy of Suga. And the epitome of performance perfection that is j-hooope! I’m gonna have to get on Patreon for you watching Red Bullet Tour.
I do not know anymore how many times I’ve seen this, but I enjoy it sooo much every time ! I’m glad you finally got to experience this !
But COVID came and thanks to that they released Dynamite and their album BE and delayed their enlistment.
this is the best performance of all awards show
34:28 you'd be correct, sir. They won all the major awards for that year. And this performance closed the show, so they had already taken all of the awards by then and pretty much proved why they had a clean sweep 😂
No uso coloquial, “Persona” significa máscara, tanto literal quanto social.

17:28 if you pause there it looks like yoongi is holding up a blue lightsaber at a glance. hehe 💜
I have watched this at least more than 100 times to see RUclipsrs reactions to it and I still get excited.
This is by far my favorite live performance of any artist I have ever seen. 💜💜💜
BTS KINGS 👌💜
10:59 you’re actually the realest to ever real
16:13 ff. This is ‘Mikrokosmos,’ originally from Map of the Soul: Persona (2019).💜
You're right there was another group there, because it was an awards show, they appeared before BTS and BTS performers in the last part, after BTS performed, then the nominations and group winners were read at MMA
I know how to get everyone's daily water intake done. Take a drink every time "dude" is said😂
You’d probably drown if you did that 🤣
This was amazing! I totally agree. I would look at their last performance before they all started leaving for the military. The Busan concert blew me away. I miss them so much and wish we didnt have to wait longer. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
