MAMA are ceremonies rewarding Asian artists. There are several who perform according to the prizes they win. And this year BTS won all 4 major prizes (daesang) that's why they had to perform several times.
It's actually an Award show and is fairly normal for them. The most nominated performer gets the most time. This is the year BTS had an All Win for the four top Awards. America would never give this much time to any artist. You will only see this type of fanfare at Melon or Asian award show. The display is Fantastic and well deserved!
Just wanna point out of something 😁 is not a top award, but a grand prize award. Top award is different with grand prize. Top award is similiar with main award such as the best male group, the best female group, the best solo etc. Those is the top award nomination category. While grand prize category is Song of the year, Album of the year, Record of the year etc 😊 so BTS win all the four grand prize awards beside the top/main award
About the monochromatic grey outfit: they are not wearing suits they are wearing school uniforms cause that first song is from their first trilogy, mid 2013-beginning 2014.
A curiosity about Boy with lov. In the verse where Jin sings "come be my teacher" we see in the choreography Suga pointing at Jhope and vice versa. They do this because Suga taught Jhope how to rap and Jhope taught Suga how to dance when they were trainees. In music Dionysius each of the 7 members represented differente Greek Gos. Jin was Athena, Suga was Hephaesus or Hades, Hobi was Zeus, Rm was Dionysius, V was Apollo, Jimin was Artemis and Jung kook was Poseidon. Dionysus was the guardian of those who did not feel part of conventional society. I'm Patrícia, 45 years old, psychologist and army 🇧🇷 💜
If you remember this an award show and compare it to the Grammy or billboard awards there is no point. Each year bts was the focus and they pulled out all the stops. The highlight in this one was definitely the last performance and jimin’s contemporary dance. They are amazing and should be praised for the utter stamina it takes to do what they do. Bts definitely outshines western artists
This is the Melon Awards in 2019 and since BTS is the most popular this season they get the most stage time! It actually lasts about 4 hours ! All the artists get to perform two songs! As well as awards being announced! There are a lot of artists there !
Performance breakdown since you asked and seemed very confused. I promise you, nothing is just “thrown” in there for the sake of shock value. BTS are incredibly detailed in their art. - Intro: Persona is the opening track of their album Map of the Soul: Persona. It is an RM solo song that opens questions abt his identity based on Jungian Psychology. - Boy In Luv is the second song and the first performed by all the members, it is one of their older songs from the School Trilogy Albums where they talk abt young love in school. - Boy With Love is the song they made with Halsey and it is a showcase of growth and maturity from “Boy In Luv” when it comes to their thoughts on love, as well as an expression of the “Boyband” PERSONA that is associated with their name in the west, and also a love letter to ARMY thanking them for the “Wings” that we gave them to fly (being able to go from a small nobody bankrupt korean company to the biggest group in the world). - Mikrocosmos is one of their b-sides from Map of the Soul: Persona and it is a message of togetherness amidst barriers, whether that is language or distance, we all look at the same sky and we all speak the language of music/art. - Dionysus. This is gonna be a long one. In case you don’t know, Dionysus is the god of wine/frenzy in Greek mythology. The entire song is basically BTS telling you to get drunk on their art (alcohol) and posing questions abt their identities as artists/idols. The performance starts with the blowing of a horn. Then each of the member’s solo performances represents a different god and each of them uses a remix version of past BTS songs, so from the start # V is Apollo, the god of art and sun. The song is No More Dream (their debut song in 2013) # Jin is Athena, the goddess of strategic warfare (he is riding a Trojan horse). The song is Danger (2014) # Jimin is Artemis, the goddess of the moon. The song is I Need U (2015) # Suga is Haphaestus, the god of fire. The song is Fire (2015) # JK is Poseidon, the god of water. The song is Save Me (2016) # JHope is Zeus, the god of lighting and thunder. The song is Fake Love (2018) # RM is Dionysus, the god of wine himself, RM finally finds the answer to the question from intro: persona. He is the god of wine, art is alcohol and he makes others drunk of his art bc he is an artist. The song is Dionysus (2019) Right before each member’s solo we can see light bulbs coming down and by the end of their performances they form the constellation “Corona Borealis”, which is said to be a crown that Princess Ariadne wore, which Dionysus gifted to her, when they got married. That is when the ceremony starts. Girls (meanads: women who followed Dionysus) start pouring out flower petals, the cougar is inflated (Dionysus rode a cougar), and then the entrances of the people and horses resembles the proceedings of a marriage ceremony of a Korean king from the Joseon dynasty, the horses, the people with their faces covered by veils, the clothes, all resemble that ceremony. And in the back the 7 gods/kings ready to celebrate the marriage with art (alcohol), and so BTS starts to perform their song Dionysus. Then we have the dance break and the song playing is N.O. (2014) which is a song that discusses the unfair pressure and expectations on youth bc of a corrupt system (seemly it is a random song to chose but when you know BTS history since their debut in the industry it makes A LOT of sense why chose that song for a show stopping dance break by all the members in the middle of a song abt their identities as idols/artists). And then they conclude the song and the performance. The entire thing is incredibly tied together, from the very first song to the last, but only if you take the time to dig deep and actually understand it all. Otherwise, you can just be mesmerized by their stellar performance, that’s ok too.
Just to add something else about N.O They used it too bc it was a clue of ON, since they were doing their cb months later with it Anyways, thanks for sharing info about this amazing performance 💜
@@Paloma_Paz ty for adding to it ARMY💜 IDK if you saw or are following but MAMA2024 voting results came out and I'm just so happy I have to share lmao. Jimin won the daesang continuing BTS 6 year streak for Fan's Choice, and Jimin, V, JK and RM won bonsangs for Fan's Choice, I might actually cry, I'm so happy. Sadly JHope didn't win his bonsang, but considering how we thought neither him or RM would win, I'm so happy at least one of them got it
Totally agree with you, I found it a little bit disrespectful to BTS. I have given this channel a chance but I am beginning to feel like they are using BTS to promote their own music, it's becoming so obvious as they stop what ever video they are watching to promote their music.
@@heathermiller9375It’s their channel, they can do what they like. Also what’s disrespectful? You make like they God or something. It’s jus one nada K-pop group, seriously seen one seen um all 🤙🏼
People were getting awards, other people performed, it lasted a few hours, BTS was last to perform (who would go after this? 😅). They also got all 4 main awards that night. They did this in other years also, but this was indeed the longest performance they have done at an award show. At the time they were planning to enlist in the military in 2020, so this grand performance was also some kind of a temporary goodbye (fans didn't know, they told us years later), but because of the pandemic they postponed the enlistment for about 3 years. In case you don't know Jin and JHope are already out, the other 5 will be discharged in June 2025. Also the theme was greek gods- each one of them represented a different greek god in the solo dance performance, and the last song is called Dyonisus (god of wine and festivities in greek mithology)- you should read the lyrics in case you didn't yet. 🙂
Jungkook is the only one who can sleep on air, and it be interesting. You don't have to push through when you are so tired, save it for another time when you have better rest and energy.
Award show Main Event performances are a combination of pre-recorded parts and live stage parts. The pre-recorded parts are usually done on the stage a day or two before so they can be seamlessly integrated. Other pre-recorded parts are like the intro mini film. For this show, the following parts were pre-recorded and played on a giant screen that rises up to reveal the members when they start the live portions: RM's solo song was pre-recorded. He goes to the classroom set at the end of the pre-taped segment. Then the screen goes up to reveal all the guys on the same set but now in real life. They do two songs live. Then we watch pre-recorded "Mikrokosmos". Again, they recorded it on the stage, but with AR visual effects to make the stadium look like outer space. The solo vignettes are a combination of live and pre-recorded. V, Jimin, and RM were live, the others pre-recorded. The entire scene with the animals was pre-recorded, up to the point where the guys show up at the table. Then again, the movie screen goes up and they are on the same set, in the same places, but now live again. The final song is performed live.
You guys need to watch the last performance again. You guys were so tired. Almost falling asleep. I've been watching you guys since nevaplay and RM song reactions. I love all your reactions, but you guys were really tired 😩
❣️This was from the annual Melon Music Awards, a Korean award show the equivalent to the Billboard Awards. BTS swept the awards, thus closed the award show, though many other artists did indeed perform beforehand. The cost of the production for BTS entertainment company BigHit, was over 500K dollars, and all the in-house production team of BigHit started planning it over half a yr beforehand! Also most of the rehearsal time that BTS had, was while they were touring worldwide. But they all were quite into doing this, and somehow managed to fit in the rehearsal like they did the yr before. The only one who performed live only, without benefit of VCR being shown, for the broadcasted version, was Jimin, who shows here being the phenomenal, outstanding, ever so breathtakingly amazing professional dancer he is, which he was even before joining BTS. His performance was beyond mesmerizing, so poised & elegant of a dancer. With the exception of Jimin, all the other solo performances were prerecorded live, with smaller audience the day before, since there was no way to have these stage sets and tank pool of water let alone have JK who was performing the dance in water get dried and change clothes beforehand! Although, all the members performed a live version of their solo dance, for the live audience, while the VCR was playing the prerecorded version that the broadcast, & or online audience saw. Also certain songs like Mikrokosmos were performed live beforehand, as well, so they could also allow for the special effects that only people who saw the broadcast on TV in South Korea or had it stream worldwide could see that version. Also the part with the live horses was filmed beforehand without an audience. 👍🙏❤️🔥🔥🤩😍✨⚡️
In Dionysus they are each a greek god, and the individual dances are them introducing themselves as each god before attending Dioysus's party. Dionysus being the god of wine (among other things). Watching Jimin dance is a spiritual experience.... Yes this an awards show, guess who won all the top awards, thats why they got more than one slot to perform. Melon Music Awards.
Groups like Black Pink and EXO opted not to attend what is one of Korea's biggest awards shows due to BTS's likelihood to win all the major awards which did happen. Top tier K Pop fandoms tend to always want to consider music to be a competition so did not want their favorites being seen on tv watching a coronation. The groups scheduled around the show to appease their fans. As such, there was a larger than normal window for Melon to to fill. Big Hit offered to spend the 2 to 3 million necessary to put on a top-of-the-line stage. So the length of this performance was an aberation due to certain groups making excuses not to attend to appease their fandoms which were more bent on elevation of their favorites than celebration of the industry.
🔆🍷”Dionysus” was the last song BTS performed, so all members performed solo pieces representing different g-d’s. In the actual song they sing, the lyrics, as always, are quite deep& meaningful! "In Hangul the Korean word for alcohol closely resembles the word for art!! So like BTS does so often, it's sort of a play on words, a metaphor, like filling themselves on art or getting drunk on art! Rejoicing reveling in the process of creating and being fully enmeshed in it!! We all know that Dionysus was the G-d of drink, pleasure, debauchery, as well as decadence, but indeed there is another more creative side like also fertility, birth which is also indeed a form of creating. He was also the g-d or wine grape harvest growth! Many interpretations that can be correlated with the song! Dionysus, was so much more then the harvester of grapes vegetation, & creator of wine! Dionysus was the only Olympian with a mortal mother, because he was raised on the mythical Mount Nysa (which was believed to be either far to the south or the east), and because he wandered Asia before arriving in Greece, Dionysus was seen as an outsider. This was an inherent part of his cult, which often focused on the more subversive elements of his nature. Dionysus was often called Eleutherios, meaning “the liberator,” because his wine, music, and ecstatic dance freed his followers from self-consciousness and the restraints of society. Indeed, as the “twice-born” god, Dionysus had crossed the boundary between life and death, and he was often portrayed as the god who crossed the boundary between the civilized and uncivilized and the known and unknown. He was represented as a god of chaos and the protector of misfits. 👍❤🔥😍🔥
I would like to add it was written by Jhope, I feel like people really don't really credit h for his achievements much. I know they are other writers like all songs but mostly him. He probably toplined (producing) it too.
Yes. It's the award show. We have no idea why the producer wanted this long performance from BTS. I've never heard it explained. BTS won all the awards that night. Here is the deal. It's all about the Greek g.od Dionysus. The song is "Dionysus." This g.od was the g.od of excess, theatre, wine, food, party...and more. So that's what this excess is all about. BTS shows what Dionysus was all about. No animals were harmed. They filmed the horses' part with no audience and no sound and added that clip in for the audience to see. This was BTS's hardest choreography to date. Jumping off and on the set pieces, the intricate hand and body isolated moves at the desk. This "excess" rendition of the song was so long. Their complete whole performance ...so very long. Like running a marathon. But their concerts are longer!!! BTS became very famous for this performance. The pandemic hit the next year. So this was the last of huge productions!! You're wrong. It wasn't a concert. It was an award show!!! Now go watch 2018. Watch every year.
This was an award show and BTS took home all the 4 grand prize and they are the only artist performed that long...imagine how their concert woulb be...BTS is one of a kind the only group can do this💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Their performance at the MMA 2019 was the most elaborate project to date, award show wise. Music award shows in South Korea are mostly held in December/January. BTS' stage at these award shows are always amazing - but 2019 was ri-di-cu-lousss. LOL. This was supposed to be their last award show performance before the MOTS7 world tour in April 2020, which was meant to be their farewell tour before their military enlistment. Of course everything changed due to covid, but at that time, they planned to go out with a bang.
You were asking about the special effects during Mikrokosmos? Years ago Big Hit founder Bang Shi Hyuk invested in a company that was developing drone technology and a company that was developing hologram technology. BTS have several famous performances where they use these. For example, at the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards Suga was absent due to shoulder surgery but they had a holographic Suga come out and perform with the group during Life Goes On. Likewise at their Yet to Come concert in Busan there were drones over the stage spelling out words and forming pictures (even people that were miles away could see them over the stadium and posted videos of it on RUclips) while holographic butterflies flew over the crowd.
South Korea has cornered the Market on LED Screen Creativity and Indestructible Jean and Trouser Technologies (for Jimin and the Other Members going hard with the Choreo on stage)
JIMIN 🔥🔥🔥 When the cue sheet was shared on social media, BTS JIMIN was the ONLY ONE performing his solo dance LIVE while the rest of BTS members' solo dance performance were pre-recorded. To be able to delivered such amazing performance, BTS Jimin really is talented.
For the song "Microcosmos" in the hall they created an illusion of the Universe with the help of holograms. This is now used in the theater, in the circus, in other performances.
Asian countries tell a stories through their performances most of the time. It's normal. It has several layers for one performance rather than 2-3 min high voltage vibe song which we mostly see in western award shows
The order of the 2nd and 3rd songs makes sense as is - Boy in Love followed by Boy with Luv. Separating them with Mikrokosmos would have been weird. And yes, the entire last section starting with each member as a Greek god is like a movie. It’s telling the stories of the gods using remixes of various BTS songs- the entire performance is a history of BTS music up to that time. It’s because they intended this to be their last performance as a group before their 2020 world tour, at the end of which Jin and SUGA were expecting to enter the military. Then the pandemic happened and blew all their plans to smithereens, cancels the tour, they blew up even more worldwide thanks to the unplanned song “Dynamite” in 2020 followed by “Butter” in 2021, their government passed a law that allowed them (and only them because only they qualify for it) to postpone military service to the end of the year they turn 30 (it’s 28 for everyone else). So this was their swan song, and they had no idea if they could continue after everyone’s military service. Also, the MMAs and MAMAs are like six hours long…and they are televised for the entire time. I think it’s MAMA that is two days x like 6 hours…all televised.
I've seen this many times before and was totally impressed by all their hard work. BTS is spectacular, but I know that older brother does not think so cause he thinks he's the coolest one on earth. Lol he's all it🎉😂
They planned this spectacular performance because they originally were planning on going into the military soon so they wanted to do an extra special performance. Plans changed due to Covid.
Personally, I was more hyped with Boy in Luv than Boy with luv coz it's a classic that hasn't been performed for a while and we always love a throwback
Thank you! thank you! thank you! So very grateful and happy that you reacted to this video. I have yet to find a better award event than this. Word has it, though not confirmed, that BTS had been wining all the major awards for the previous 3-4 years and expected to win again, SO, the other big houses had stated that they would not be sending their groups which left a big chunk of time for BTS to do their thing. Now some Asian awards break their events in 2-3 days so it is possible that other groups had plenty of time for their performances; plus they also rotate locations so it is not always SK or Japan hosting the events, this allows different groups and fans to participate. Saying that, BTS and ARMY always seem to stand out at each event.😉✌💜😃
The majority of this performance was pre-recorded with lucky Armys present during the pre-recording sessions. This was a major performance with high degrees and levels of intricate details... and horses, lol. I think the pre-recordings took 2 to 3 days prior to the actual live award show date, but the planning for this performance took 3 months. The venue was empty and quiet during the recording of the parts with the horses, so they wouldn't get spooked.
Actually they performed everything there live also, only for TV purposes part of the performance was prerecorded (Mikrocosmos and the solo dance part, besides Jimin that didn't prerecord). But on the actual day they also performed the prerecorded songs for the audience, it was just not on the official televised recording. That's how some post edit stuff were done, and yes, horses were prerecorded without noise so they were ok.
@@georgiana3112And Persona was also pre-recorded. Yes, the solo performances in the white suits were pre-recorded for the TV broadcast (and shown on the screens in the arena), but they performed the solos live in their black suits on stage - yes, and Jimin decided to do the broadcast in white live. Even JK came out on stage in the shadows while his Save Me water dance was playing.
The Melon Music Awards (Korean: 멜론 뮤직어워드) is a major music awards show much like The Grammy, that is held annually by Kakao Entertainment (a Kakao company) The event was initially a fan-voted award conducted entirely online from 2005 through 2008, and has been officially held offline in Seoul since 2009. So there are other K-idols in attendance. This BTS performance is considered the most elaborate and expensive production on MMA because the plan was this live performance will be the last before BTS enlist in the Military which they planned to do after their planned Map of the Soul. But of course, Covid pandemic happened so the tour and MS enlistment were put on hold. The good resulting resulting from the pandemic though is that BTS released their all-English songs Butter, Dynamite and Permission to Dance which were all mega hits.
You shouldn’t have underestimated the power of army because now you have to book your flight to South Korea 😂. You said 1200 likes so now there is no going back on your word
bts always turn the award show into their own concert 😂 its free concert 😂…and i love watching all their live performances 🔥🔥🔥 v caught my attention he looks like a prince what a goodlooking young man…💜
I could tell bigz is exhausted. Please rest well. It's better to see you react well rested. Also I can't seem to find your other channel. Can you reply with a link. Thank you
He has been working a lot of double shifts lately, poor guy. 😪 Here is the link to our other channel: youtube.com/@theafterparty-en3xj?si=tY7SJRRxIbguMv7o
Oh Paduwans you have much to leafn. 😂 BH spares no expense for BTS. This was an award show. BTS being the most nominated of the night got the most time to perform. Most artists get 2 full songs. This is just oe of like 4 korean award shows they attend. And the will do different performances for each one.
I keep thinking about the logistics just to put something like this together! I mean how many months it took from the planning stages to this finalized performance.
Exactly! An amazing performance from BTS, but the team behind it all definitely deserves their flowers too! Truly a logistical nightmare but it came out great
"I kinda wish" you would stop thinking you can improve on an epic 37+ minute AWARD SHOW performance. 😂 Matching suits? Flip the song order? Why not just enjoy it?
One of the most iconic performance, it's just so good i still remember the clip that went viral was them drenched in sweat and trying to catch some breath after the whole performance 😭
13:46 Unfortunately not, Halsey was not able to be present st that time. 14:10 In case you curious, the two guys here are YEONJUN (left) & SOOBIN (right) the oldests of a five-member group TXT who are the first younger brother group of BTS under BIGHIT before the company rebranded as HYBE and became first sub-label BIGHIT MUSIC. 19:15 This song was dedicated to us the fans (ARMY) 😊
Hi guys, thanks for reacting to these awards, BTS always brings excellent performances and entertainment, thank you because despite your tiredness you share your reactions with us and you are appreciated, I love you.💜💜
No momentum is lost during this wards show. The videos are to give them costume change and set change time .... don't be so critical until you have actually performed in a full stage/concert yourself.
Oh my god, Jimin's live stage performance was amazing and indescribably awesome, so was Jungkook, but Jimin's performance was the only one that wasn't pre-recorded, so everyone was completely enchanted by his perfect live performance.
Outstanding and aesthetic dance skills: BTS Jimin delivered another legendary dance performance in the 2019 MMA and trended worldwide! Covered in white from head to toes along with a piece of clothes as his only prop, BTS Jimin who debut as the lead vocalist and main dancer in BTS showed to the world his modern dance skills and delivered an amazingly beautiful performance. As soon as BTS Jimin appeared on the red carpet he immediately become one of the hot topics among netizens thus making him trended in several countries for his visual and performance. However as soon as he performed his solo dance, he immediately trended worldwide in Twitter with several keywords. In addition to that, BTS Jimin not only trended in Twitter but also trended in Weibo, one of the biggest social media platform in China. BTS Jimin really live up to his name as the "trending emperor" and the "trending fairy" as he trended with another keyword which is"우리 지민" (Our Jimin) in Korea Twitter trend as soon as he uploaded his selca. Amazing as it already is, BTS Jimin also live up his name as the "recruiting fairy" as he snatched countless of GP in Weibo alone.BTS Jimin not only received warm reaction from locals and GP but also from local and international celebrities. When the cue sheet was shared on social media, BTS Jimin was the only one performing his solo dance live while the rest of BTS members' solo dance performance were pre-recorded. To be able to delivered such amazing performance, BTS Jimin really is talented. Every year, whether in award show or during their concert, BTS Jimin show to the world what an amazing performer he is. Amazingly talented in both singing and dancing, BTS Jimin really did born to shine. He is indeed a truly gifted idol. With his talents there are no question why he constantly ranked as the #1 idols in South Korea.
The falling asleep during the reaction was a little disrespectful to BTS in my opinion, I understand if you are tired if that's the case react to videos when you are more awake.
BTS has the secret sauce for success, the three Js, JHope, Jimin and Jung Kook, they are the best dancers in the industry. The group's professionalism is evident, from the amount of hours they put in to train and practice for their performances. Watch their dance practices. These annual awards show, Melon -MMA and the MAMA award shows are a gathering of the whole KPop industry, where groups will perform and awards are given out. Needless to say, BTS shines the best in these shows.
🔥❣️Jimin’s solo performance, wearing a modernized hanbok just fastened by ties only, had many different dance elements in it! Including the barrel leaps taken from Korean dance elements, some martial arts elements, (trained for 8 yrs in various forms w/blackbelt in Taekwondo), & of course contemporary dance. Also, equally ever so stunningly outstanding, was Jimin's scarf work, which is alone so hard to master, without getting that ever so thin veil of a scarf all tangled! Jimin somehow was able to make the scarf one with himself, using it as an extension, even at one point when he did that amazing jump leap straight up the scarf becoming his wings!! Jimin's whole performance was so amazingly stunningly beautiful. Just so effortlessly breathtakingly mesmerizing to see!! ❤️🔥🔥😍😇🤩✨⚡️ Though the other members did a version of their solo performances for benefit of the live audiences, for the broadcast version as seen here, viewer see the prerecorded version, that was prerecorded the day before, since especially JK’s performance in water with that heavy tank that weighed a ton wouldn’t be able to maneuver for live audience, as well as some of the other effects seen like for Mikrokosmos, also the part with the horses was obviously prerecorded as a safeguard for the horses. It also gave a chance for BTS come up for air as well as give them time to change. Jimin was the only one who didn’t have the benefit of prerecorded VCR, which meant that for his solo performance by the broadcasted version, viewers saw Jimin perform live only. While the broadcast version showed for rest of members the prerecorded version. But once again the live audience did get an opportunity to see BTS members do a version of their solos.👍🙏🥰🤩✨⚡️
About the mid part: The wests' tr4ends are not universal lol. They live in korea, if you watch even a modicum of korean content, you'd know the mid part has been the it hairstyle for _a while_ now. I'm southeast asian and we also have our own trends you'd be surprised is in rn.
No, I feel you guys. It’s literally 10 minutes from the time they show you the name of the song to when it’s actually performed. It took me some getting used to. So, to be fair, maybe that was a mistake on the part of the show. But the flow of the performance was confusing to me the first time as well.
React to Jungkook 3D + Standing next to you please or the live versions he is the nost streamed asian artist after BTS with more than 9 billion streams for a single album you'll be surprised by his mvs🔥🔥
The MAMAS are awards show 2024 is held on 21st Nov St KT it has 3 stages and performers from all Asian countries. the Dionysus performance would have been the finally of the night for the Melon Awards as the most nominated artist
You were saying that the mid part was classic 20/21 and you don’t see it anymore. This was the 2019 mma award show so they were trending the style. If they all had the same grey suits we would not be able to pick them out because from the audience they look all the same. Halsey has a career and can not fly to Korea every time they perform BWL. She did appear in the performance on a US award show.
Eventually every style (both clothing and hair style) from each decade and era before you, all cycle back around. You'll see as you get older. Your quite Yong yet, so be careful to criticize ones style, as there are others that may nott like your choices that you think you look good in. They have their reasons for their style choices. You haven't quite grasped the concept Korea does things differently. And they do way more choreography than you have seen. You just have barely scratched the surface yet of their mv's.

Dionysus was the guardian of those who did not feel part of conventional society.

the energy was different, but maybe you were seeing it through your tired, droopy eyes? Huh (Mr falling asleep)?
If you remember this an award show and compare it to the Grammy or billboard awards there is no point. Each year bts was the focus and they pulled out all the stops. The highlight in this one was definitely the last performance and jimin’s contemporary dance. They are amazing and should be praised for the utter stamina it takes to do what they do. Bts definitely outshines western artists
This is just an award show imagine their concerts 😂
This is the Melon Awards in 2019 and since BTS is the most popular this season they get the most stage time! It actually lasts about 4 hours ! All the artists get to perform two songs! As well as awards being announced! There are a lot of artists there !
BTS live performance will always be better than the studio version.
I think you have to record reaction when you are awake and you have energy
Then each of the member’s solo performances represents a different god and each of them uses a remix version of past BTS songs, so from the start
# V is Apollo, the god of art and sun. The song is No More Dream (their debut song in 2013)
# Jin is Athena, the goddess of strategic warfare (he is riding a Trojan horse). The song is Danger (2014)
# Jimin is Artemis, the goddess of the moon. The song is I Need U (2015)
# Suga is Haphaestus, the god of fire. The song is Fire (2015)
# JK is Poseidon, the god of water. The song is Save Me (2016)
# JHope is Zeus, the god of lighting and thunder. The song is Fake Love (2018)
# RM is Dionysus, the god of wine himself, RM finally finds the answer to the question from intro: persona. He is the god of wine, art is alcohol and he makes others drunk of his art bc he is an artist. The song is Dionysus (2019)
Right before each member’s solo we can see light bulbs coming down and by the end of their performances they form the constellation “Corona Borealis”, which is said to be a crown that Princess Ariadne wore, which Dionysus gifted to her, when they got married.
Excellent description! 💜
Wow!! Thank you for this info 💜💜
Just to add something else about N.O
They used it too bc it was a clue of ON, since they were doing their cb months later with it
Anyways, thanks for sharing info about this amazing performance 💜
@@Paloma_Paz ty for adding to it ARMY💜
IDK if you saw or are following but MAMA2024 voting results came out and I'm just so happy I have to share lmao. Jimin won the daesang continuing BTS 6 year streak for Fan's Choice, and Jimin, V, JK and RM won bonsangs for Fan's Choice, I might actually cry, I'm so happy. Sadly JHope didn't win his bonsang, but considering how we thought neither him or RM would win, I'm so happy at least one of them got it
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Dude, if you're that sleepy just go to bed and watch it when you're more awake. 😶
😂😂
Totally agree with you, I found it a little bit disrespectful to BTS. I have given this channel a chance but I am beginning to feel like they are using BTS to promote their own music, it's becoming so obvious as they stop what ever video they are watching to promote their music.
@@heathermiller9375It’s their channel, they can do what they like. Also what’s disrespectful? You make like they God or something. It’s jus one nada K-pop group, seriously seen one seen um all 🤙🏼
please... yawning is a normal natural reflex... even RM could yawn at his own concert... some armies always have something to complain about...
☕☕☕☕☕
For this show, the following parts were pre-recorded and played on a giant screen that rises up to reveal the members when they start the live portions:
RM's solo song was pre-recorded.
Big z sleep vibing....😴😂

The grey suits are a throwback to the mv of the song wayy back in 2014

The song is "Dionysus." This
g.od was the g.od of excess, theatre, wine, food, party...and more.
I've watched this over and over. We love watching reactors' reactions to the Masterful Masterpiece!!!
The first time I ever saw drones like that was their final performance of the LYSY tour in Seoul in 2019.
South Korea has cornered the Market on LED Screen Creativity and Indestructible Jean and Trouser Technologies (for Jimin and the Other Members going hard with the Choreo on stage)
JIMIN 🔥🔥🔥
When the cue sheet was shared on social media, BTS JIMIN was the ONLY ONE performing his solo dance LIVE while the rest of BTS members' solo dance performance were pre-recorded. To be able to delivered such amazing performance, BTS Jimin really is talented.
For the song "Microcosmos" in the hall they created an illusion of the Universe with the help of holograms. This is now used in the theater, in the circus, in other performances.
Real simple dude. It's an awards show and this is BTS' performance. EPIC performance mind you. Their awards shows blow ours away TOTALLY!
This is an award show and its nothing like the grammys.
Lol he's all it🎉😂
Spectacular 😳
You guys have no patience. You speak before you see the full production.
Not as much as you think was pre-recorded. The horses and mikrocosmos
@ Persona had just the first part prerecorded, we can see the cut when we go to the actual live performance (after ge gets out from that room)
@ That’s right. Pre recorded until he walk through the door - you can even see his hair is a little different.

BTS come back home live , louder than bombs
Ok who is going to go after THAT?! GOATS! 💜💜💜
I keep thinking about the logistics just to put something like this together! I mean how many months it took from the planning stages to this finalized performance.
Exactly! An amazing performance from BTS, but the team behind it all definitely deserves their flowers too! Truly a logistical nightmare but it came out great
All the solo dance music was BTS song snippets.

"I kinda wish" you would stop thinking you can improve on an epic 37+ minute AWARD SHOW performance. 😂 Matching suits? Flip the song order? Why not just enjoy it?
I havent got past the mid part hair discussion and I dont think I'll bother,,,
Totally agree
One of the most iconic performance, it's just so good i still remember the clip that went viral was them drenched in sweat and trying to catch some breath after the whole performance 😭

Thank for ur reaction but I think you two are too sleepy to pay attention. It's shoud be another time better.
BTS always turn any award show to thier own concert check MAMA 2018 it's iconic🔥❤️❤️
Grammy is not ready for actual BTS Performance
Jimin performance was totally live , exraordinary 😮😮😮❤
It's actually an award dhow performance 😂
There is a behind the sceene of this, you get it after
This is the show they won all 4 awards.
That was a dance break in the last song. The stamina!
Just the giant led screens cost BTS 2 million to hire.
It is true that talent always appears in difficult situations, and this is what Jimin embodied for us with his extraordinary talent 😊❤
Just to let you know their BOY IN LUV came out back in 2014, the last few songs came out 2019 …. BOY WITH LUV is correspondence of BOY IN LUV.
I love you bts 💜 💜💜💜💜💜💜
Though the other members did a version of their solo performances for benefit of the live audiences, for the broadcast version as seen here, viewer see the prerecorded version, that was prerecorded the day before, since especially JK’s performance in water with that heavy tank that weighed a ton wouldn’t be able to maneuver for live audience, as well as some of the other effects seen like for Mikrokosmos, also the part with the horses was obviously prerecorded as a safeguard for the horses.
Time to react thei award show 2018 and 2020
Imagine the artist who will perform after them...
Ok.. It's done, go to bed!! 😅
About the mid part: The wests' tr4ends are not universal lol. They live in korea, if you watch even a modicum of korean content, you'd know the mid part has been the it hairstyle for _a while_ now. I'm southeast asian and we also have our own trends you'd be surprised is in rn.
Jimin FIRE and incredible artist 👏💜
you said RM just walked and hold the staff. you forgot he performed persona solo first
No, I feel you guys. It’s literally 10 minutes from the time they show you the name of the song to when it’s actually performed. It took me some getting used to. So, to be fair, maybe that was a mistake on the part of the show. But the flow of the performance was confusing to me the first time as well.
They did Boy in Luv and Boy with Luv together bc they're sequels to each other.
Pleas reaction to jungkook ❤❤
Have you guys watched the FIRE mv yet!
So the hair is a topic? 🤷♀️
Please react to Jungkook solo work!💜💜💜💜
Yes, long award show and they are the last act before the major award.
23:57 you sleeping 😂😂😂
Wow❤

Eventually every style (both clothing and hair style) from each decade and era before you, all cycle back around. You'll see as you get older. Your quite Yong yet, so be careful to criticize ones style, as there are others that may nott like your choices that you think you look good in. They have their reasons for their style choices. You haven't quite grasped the concept Korea does things differently. And they do way more choreography than you have seen. You just have barely scratched the surface yet of their mv's.

Thanks for calling out V. No one can beat BTS. Their professionalism how comfortable they are on stage cannot be denied. All I mean all. Members make their performance.
Can I just say, pls get some rest. I could tell that you almost fell asleep more than a couple of times. I appreciate that you’re trying your best but self care comes first. ARMY can wait 👍🏽
RM's opening song reminded me of Limp Bizkit and/or Linkin Park vibes when I first heard it.
Vmin and tom jerry 💜 💜
Video screen should be larger for audience.
