“I can’t go to the stars again, I can’t” broke me. That level of fame comes with so much pressure for the group, and Namjoon in particular as the leader. I imagine he’s saying, at least for now, he doesn’t want that Dynamite level of commercial success…he’d rather put out music that he connects with and not focus on awards or charts. He’s a true artist, he wants to do ART. I feel like this album told us so much and I truly hope he’s at peace now that he’s released it into the world and we all absolutely love the masterpiece that is Indigo. 💜
I'm actually crying while listening to this song without even knowing the reason why - and it's weird. Usually, I cry to a song because I can relate to it. But with this one, I just realized that I may be crying because my heart goes to RM. Watching the mv feels like we're walking into RM's mind.

They've been through A lot in their career, myb even more in recent yrs with all that pressure (by people, government and others), hate, fame too, corruption and others.. All this just shattered their mentality and they haven't been good for a long time..
Most of people are/were like "they don't do good music anymore, they've changed, don't do much" etc.
Reality is bitter and there was a reason for all of these (plus military)
I hope people/army will understand this and keep supporting/stanning them till end.
They really deserve it and need us now more than ever.
RM cried recently, talking abt live, saying how he's grateful That Many still support them despite all and was afraid whole time. Even tho many left, there are still many that stayed, hope it will remain the same💜

RM’s album is so versatile and different and each song has its own genre it’s amazing. Overall this song is my absolute fav. The vocals, rap, visuals, feelings it’s gives everything. I love it and hope u enjoy his album tooo❤️
Thanks for reacting. I think RM is also writing about something everyone goes thru - the crossroads of life. It happens in quite a few points to all of us - when we move out of our tweens and into our teens; in our twenties; and especially in our 40's (when we realize half our life is over). I think RM is expressing this point as well in Wildflower - the crossroad - who am I, what do I want, is this all there is, can't I just be free, can't I just be me.

This song had me in tears unexpectedly. LOve LOVE loVE this song.
From the entire album, this is the song that’s stuck with me the most. Everything about it is so powerful. The lyrics are so raw and so true, you can really feel every emotion he describes. And I can’t stop thinking about it. He’s been holding onto all this for so long, and I can’t even imagine how much questioning and uncertainty he’s been through. But through all of it, there’s this undertone of hope. He’d rather be a wild flower (humble yet persistent and so uniquely beautiful) than a firework (loud and impactful, but fleeting). And one day he’ll return to the Namjoon who is certain and self-assured. This entire album was such a beautiful insight into his mind and self, and I love seeing this incredibly vulnerable side of him 💜
"No shame, I'm on my grave" i think it means like he was down, sad, lost and probably depressed and that was/played a big part of/on his twenty's. Now that he is finally sharing it and he is not ashamed by what he felt and went through.
He was at his lowest time but that's all him at the end of the day yk.
The way he says "I'll return someday." is like a promise to army but also to himself. Throughout the song he is talking about how he's struggling and going through so much with all this fame they have. And like Ous said he was saying the truth and the truth hurts sometimes and rn it does. It hurts us (armys), BTS, and RM himself. But the fact that he said "I'll return someday" could be more than one thing. One, he is comforting army because he knows we will be sad knowing that he's going through this and he's promising us. But, he is also promising himself that this will get better and he will find himself one day and come back to the be the best person he could be. And it's ok that he is not that rn and even if he will never be. We will love him every way he is.

The lyrics is so emotional every Army must be crying like a baby. Specially the line "I will return someday". It reminded me of the festa dinner 2022 where RM was telling Army's not to misunderstand them and trust them and that they feel sorry to Army coz they were taking a break and couldn't even talk coz he was crying. I feel that jhope's album was about the burning passion to work and do what the group wants to pursue and RM explains about what they other side of that passion is like, the experience of exhaustion and feeling like you want to stop and be free from some type of clutch that you can let go easily but you don't feel like its right to do so.
Idk thats kinda what I got from Indigo as a whole and tbh if you look at the lyrics of indigo and Jack in the box they kind mention some of the same things alsmot like each member expresses the same thoughts that come out through their music

As tough as military is, I think it will help all 7 members to become normal men, ground themselves and find what they really want. They will come back mature and take the group a different direction I bet.

THAT’S WHY I LOVE YOU GUYS. No channel gave me this great lyrics breakdown. This track deserves it and y’all served. Popkorn fam is where it’s at
RM as leader had another level of stress in BTS. Everything was hard, then huge. It's easy to get lost in it and question if you ended up really where you were meant to be. So he questions and explores and though some is hard to think about, emotionally, it's important. But at the end he's saying (in my opinion), that it's okay. That's the journey. And he'll find his way back to the dream that was so important. At the end where he repeats, When you are at xyxz.... the end frame is him in a field of purple flowers. Purple represents the love of ARMY and BTS love to ARMY. He's surrounded by it in a peaceful way. That's where he'll come back to. That's my interpretation. The thing I love about RM's writing, and SUGA's as well, is they have a way of writing and phrasing that allows for alternate interpretations that the listener can relate to their own life. I can't know the pressure of fame, or loneliness it can cause, but I do know pressure and loneliness. And so their writing joins two very different worlds into a common area.

Yes, the festa dinner on their anniversary and the 1 to 1 interview with Pharrell in Rolling Stone also relate to RM’s angst as leader of BTS. Live performances are in front of a “mass” of energy which is a responsibility and a short term adrenaline rush. Ten years of excellence and angst. The past couple of years has been tumultuous because of the pandemic destroying their touring plans before enlistment at the end of 2020. Then came the passage of the BTS Law which allowed them an extension to age 30. The first Grammy nomination for Dynamite threw BTS into another round of international fervor and diplomatic duty. Jin’s Vlive from Buenos Aires fills in the context of that period. Definitely RM and Suga have a lot to say. But I think Jimin more than JK will have a lot to say. I think JK was blessed to be the maknae who was protected because of his age from the pressures of decisions and just allowed his talents to flourish. I also think that the members have a lot of gratitude to Jin because he refuses to take his superstar role seriously. Members have expressed many times how his attitude about life has helped them from over achievement syndromes. The military service may just be the break they need to recoup a sense of who they are. Army in the meantime should consider creating a peace movement so that first world powers and billionaires do not destroy the world so that BTS returns as planned.

He needs freedom, a new chapter, to be more himself and to have emotional structure and support in his personal life. His freedom it's represented by the wild flowers field vs fireworks (star shows, concerts and celebrity life). That's why he aims for flowerworks vs fireworks. 💜

I think Namjoon is trying to say from my interpretation. Is his lost and he is trying to find himself again. And what his propose is. When he started in BTS he was still a kid and also the members. They had to grow up fast taking on responsibilities at such a young age, and he lost himself along the journey. And he is finding himself again. It may take a while, to find out why he did music or what’s his propose is again. And he is going to be back has his old self again someday

Loved your reaction! You had a lot of good insights. For me, RM and Jimin are the two solos I've most anticipated as offering the most new insight into their depths. Suga is definitely deep, but I feel he's always been open, so I'm not expecting to be shocked. But I knew RM has been struggling for a long time and expected this would be a deeply personal project, and it definitely is. With Jimin, he had a lot of struggles in the early years with trying to portray a macho guy and eventually accepting that's not who he is. He's also always been self-conscious about creating his own music, so I think now that he's had a reason to truly delve into it, I think he's going to reveal something groundbreaking and revealing. But I digress, today is RM's day and I couldn't be more more proud of him!!! The album is a literal masterpiece.

Bittersweet is exactly how would I put it, too. With all the success, fame, and recognition, their biggest sacrifice really was finding true happiness. Their entire career, while they enjoy it, must've been full of pressure. It's now settling in to all of them. I wish them all genuine happiness and freedom to do other things they love in the future.

I always thought rap is something in which people just say whatever shit they can find as that's what i always saw most of the time like ofc some of them do write good raps but RM is just soo damnn good at expressing himself by his passion. I think while he enjoyed the ride, he fought a darker side because he had to deal with the company, media, people, and try to shield his brothers from drama and negativity. So he carried a heavier burden. There is no way to not get lost with that much of a heavy load. Jimin has been traveling and going hard working on his music, as if he has left any records to break. Since Jhope and RM both have albums out and are the same age, I wonder if they will be going in the military next. They should be turning 30 korean age.
It's an amazing album that changes your mood from song to song. A true masterpiece from start to finish. Due my religious beliefs the ones with language I can't listen to, but the other are on constant replay. I'm proud of RM for his genuine talents and humble heart ♥ . As always BTS each member is an opened field of different types of beautiful timeless flowers 💱. Seven Korean buds went to Los Angeles and collect golden nuggets their instructors and the homeless. These buds gathered that information allowed it circumcised their hearts . Those buds translation into beautiful flowers that withers, dies and blossoms again. I'm a 52 year old African American woman who stopped listening to music because it fields became meaningless, but BTS has for me brought back its purpose and true beauty that never fades. Their humble hearts makes them rich.

My Interpretation of "I can't go to the Stars again, I can't" would be that he can't be a Star again. He just wants to be at the ground with all the other "nameless flowers" and doesn't want to fly high (be so popular) again.
I was expecting and praying for something exact, my exact words to my sister were " I can't wait for indigo to drop, I feel like it is going to expose the shades of the industry both home and internationally.......and his pov of what has happened to them/him", especially when he said it was like his dairy but I couldn't predict how best he would express those emotions in terms of sound and visual. Wildflower is amazing, INDIGO is awesome.
