That 12 string sounds amazing. I’ve researched all of the “affordable” ones from high end guitar companies and the DX2E 12 sounds the best from the reviews I’ve seen. Thanks for the great demo.

Great video. 10 or 12 years ago, I bought a Martin, DX12E, which I still own, and has the old style battery inside the sound hole held with velcro. Just a few weeks ago, I changed the battery for the first time, since I never plug it in to an amp, but wanted to try it. Amazing light action, and can go months without retuning..Since I don't plan to use the electronics much, I have no desire to upgrade the original Fishman's. Not sure I like the cutaway model. Though action is light, I don't see the desire to go that low on the fretboard.
They all seem to have great sustain. I’m really interested in the 12 string! I already have a Fishman Loud box
I have a DX1RAE that was manufactured in 2014. Got it in 2016 as an open box. Sounds amazing. The solid top has really opened up.

Did the dxc2e replace the dxc1e? My letters might be in the wrong order but I miss my old dxc1e I used to have and I'm just wondering if the 2e is like a direct replacement of it.
I think the 1e has a laminate spruce top where the 2 is solid spruce

What about the sound: bright or dark? 🤔
Sitka spruce is inherently bright… cedar and mahogany tops are warmer.
I have the D x2. The tone is loud with great bass and bottom end
So we have to add our own end pin?

Mine came with one in a small yellow envelope inside the gig bag but I don't know if the vendor added it free or if it came standard.
