The cat's name is Popinska. Recording technology over the last couple of decades has gotten quite good and the ability to do quality multitrack recordings of live shows has gotten way better. Live Tatiana uses a pretty standard wireless microphone but the most expensive part of that mic is the transmitter not the capsule. Having said that those capsules have still gotten better over time. In this video she's using a $200 AKG 420B which isn't the best vocal mic but isn't terrible. In the studio she usually uses and SM7B which is essentially just a Shure SM58 in the special case. Screamers tend to like the dynamic mics better because of the bass boost it gives their voice when they are close to it.
Plenty of great live performances from 10, 20 years ago that sound just as good, if not better then studio. Pearl Jam, Navara, Pink Floyd, Alice in Chains just to name a few.
