The pro( 0-0-7) I couldn't read the bag , you had it upside down . So can I use this on Centipede and St. Augustine grass ? Seems like everything except for a few product's only targets weeds for Bermuda grasses .

My Pre-Emergent was laid down today. While I was working in the front yard, a woman walked by and said, “My husband often makes comments about how beautiful y’all’s yard is when we walk or drive by.” That was nice of her to mention that. Anyway, thanks BYD!

Another good one I saw in the background was the granular BioAdvanced 3-in-1 which has indaziflam in it for preemergent. Indaziflam is Spectacle which has better control than prodiamine. Of course I see your point to avoid stuff with nitrogen in it though it's worth pointing out that it won't hurt anything, just likely be mostly wasted.

I think I am basically right around the corner from you in Ellenwood, GA. This past Saturday, I was at the Lowes on Fairington, just off of Pinola Road and they were all out of pre-emergent and they didn't know when they would be getting a new shipment in.
They won’t be getting any more Sunniland 007.

Thanks BYD. I found you too late in the season last year to handle the weed problems. I found the Sunniland at Lowes for $5.34 but only a couple bags. I went to another store but it was $25, regular price.
Great info BYD. 0-0-7 is the way to go. Here on LI we can't apply any NPK until April 1 so we have to hope the soil temps don't reach 55 before then :(

BYD, Good looking out. I was just about to ask what granular product you recommend for weeds that are growing now. But you answered my questions with the Image products. I went by Lowes the other day and grabbed the Sunniland and the Image (red label). Thanks for the info!

No Sunni land or Lesco at my Lowe’s only Spectracide granules but too many application restrictions- apply when grass wet then cannot rain for 24-48 hours?? Is this with all granules?

You have choices, but the amount of ore emergent is more powerful in that granular then it is in the Bio Advanced 👍🏾

BYD, if I stock up on Sunniland product, how long will the product last in storage? At these price’s, everyone should be jumping on these deals.
It will last a while but I’d stock only to about 3 years. Keep out of sunlight and keep in dry cool place. Leave in original bag.
Unfortunately here in north Texas that Sunniland is listed for $25/ea and only available for delivery.

What do you recommend I put on 3 month old sod now in Ga for weed
BYD I just closed on a house first of January they laid the sod in December. What should I start with now first time having Bermuda grass? It done has some other grass/weeds coming through in it how should I get ride of it? And they left a few places unfinished due to them only putting down a set amount what is a good seed I can put down to cover that until I could get more sod? And what would be your method for doing the seed?
I’d do a starter fert ( Scott’s has one that’s suppose to kill off new crabgrass and dandelions for six weeks. As for sod if you know the exact name of it you can buy some more or if it’s a whole dirt section you can over seed with BermudaGrass seeds. But it will be different from you Hybrid.

I won’t hurt but do the combo first, when you see the weeds dying and you want to cut use a bagger if possible.

@@bookooc5605 most liquid herbicides have 2-4D in it. Image red label work on it also but the Spectracide Weed Stop 🛑 for lawns works also.
What do you recommend for tall fescue zone 7a? I re-seeded this fall and added fertilizer. I wanted to use pre-emergent to control any weeds that may come up. Also, how about zoysia grass, use the same pre-emergent? Thanks, Rafael
If you plan on over seeding that fescue again then no pre emergent. Same pre M works on both.
If I have the lesco 0-0-7 from last year used it and did not cover it with anything and the product changed color is it still good?

I layered my Pre Emerg last week. Today I sprayed 270 weed killer bc this was the first day of 70 degree weather (Im in GA too). Tomorrow is another nice day should I spray the image NOW for the POA and bluegrass or spot treat the grass for bluegrass and POA?
If you blanket spray the lawn with 470 then spot treat the POA with the image red label.

@@juliovazquez82 you can use both at same time but look at the rate for both. Example your doing .46 prodiamine per 1k sq ft, the image says 2.5 oz per 1k sq ft per gal. Mix both at same time in one gal sprayer. But water 💦 in according to the weed killer for lawn application.

They have products like Moss out but if you don’t change the conditions causing the Moss it will just come back.

Generally 30 days. Here’s a cheat code ( spray entire lawn with Spectracide weed stop for lawn and spot spray the Blue grass with the image red label, both can be done same day.

Apply now because soil temps did break 55, as for the weed kill for lawns the Spectracide can work in temps starting at 45.

@@garyolsen6299 if you did a soil test add it said it’s needed then go for it. But other than that 3-4 years but remember lime is to raise the lawns PH so you’ll need a soil test. If lawn if doing great then you probably don’t need it.
HELP ME BYD! I just got a bottle of Spectricide Weed and Grass Killer and was about to go to town on my lawn. My whole lawn was weeds last year except for some Bermuda patches. I tried to plant Bermuda grass but it grew so slowly that the weeds went nuts so I applied weed kill (killed baby Bermuda as well) and have been on weed kill and preemergent until now. All I have left to kill are some dark green patches of short bushy fescue like grasses. I don't think they're fescue but they seem unphased by everything else. What can I apply to them? They are sprinkled throughout my whole lawn. Thank you 🙏
I was going to use Prodiamine 65 this week because I have a bunch of grown weed right now. And then lesco 0-0-7 next week. Is that a good plan?
Yes but you’ll still need a weed kill for lawns formula to kill current weeds.

BYD, any recommendations for new sod Bermuda grass. I just moved into a new construction home with new Bermuda sod. I read that it’s not a good idea to put pre-emergent bc it would prevent the new grass from germinating. Do you have any experience with new Bermuda sod?
That is correct. Scott’s has a starter fertilizer you can use on new sod that helps prevent Crabgrass and dandelions for up to six weeks. You’ll still get some weeds but this will help.

What would be the professional herbicide post emergent that kills hard weeds, I have tough weeds right now in winter north Georgia that stays all year and non of the regular weed killers was effective on them,please what you recommend in the range of $70.
And also I know you talked about prodimine before as a preemergent, would it substitute the regular ones that you mentioned in your video.

Tenacity is one and Blindsided but it probably over 70 bucks. ( Warning ⚠️, Tenacity should NOT be apply to actively growing BermudaGrass)

The sunniland says it can last 3-5 months, I think the Lesco at Lowe’s says you can apply again in 8 weeks.

What should we use to control creepy charlie in Bermuda grass? Will 0-0-7 work?
007 is a preventative and can help control it but won’t kill what there. You’ll need multiple applications on a weed kill for lawns product for entire lawn, plus you need to spot spray the individual area also. So Google herbicides that kill creeping Charlie in BermudaGrass and the newest products should show up. Creeping Charlie is tough though. You can also hand remove to help process.
So BYD, CAN YOU RESEED THE SAME TIME YOU DROP APRE-EMERGENT?
The answer is no. Most pre M will say reseed 8-12 weeks after application.
