Hi Jason, First of all, I congratulate you for your you tube channel. My name is Onorio from Concord, nc. I have learned many things from you. But would you please make a video for Zoysia grases? ( Leizure, emmeral, zeon, and Zenith) what will be the program.
I live in North Mississippi and I just put down prodiamine @ a rate of .4/1000 today,, I thought there was only one day of rain this coming up week ,but now it looks like 2 to 3 days of rain this coming up week. I'm worried about it washing away
I'm using Specticle Flo in the fall and Prodiamine at the beginning of next year. Should I do one heavy/max application of each or 2 medium applications 6 weeks apart? Bermuda and Zoysia just north of Atlanta, GA. Thanks for all the vids, learning a lot from you.
I’m not sure I could put this out in May since most of my customers need and are expecting fertilizer at that time of year. I was hoping to do 6 oz in fall, simazine in Jan, and about 9 or so oz Specticle in March. That was I can start the fertilizer apps 6 weeks after. No way in May could I do fertilizer and Specticle.
Just wanted to say hi. I also have a question about General Liability insurance. I got a quote from a company here in Statesboro for 800.00 pr yr. Do you think I can get it cheaper and still have good coverage for just mowing, weedeating, blowing etc.? I'm not sure, just how much I need.
@@lawncarelife I'm just thinking I will only be mowing from March through September. The way I see it is I will be paying for insurance for 5 months where I won't be making money
@@lawncarelife I'm going to keep shopping. I finally got the business name application form for GA. filled out today. I hope they approve the 1st name (Close Cuts). If not then I gave them two more names. I will be going to Savanah on Wednesday to pick up my 4000 series toro. Then I'll get my business license from Brooklet and insurance from someone.
Hey Jason, Arkansas Bermuda lawn here. I am thinking of mixing simazine and prodiamine for my first app. Should I use them late spring to help with mid summer weeds too?
You could do a second application of prodiamine later in the spring but it is very important to get the first one down before the crabgrass germinates. You would need to check the label on simazine. I'm not sure if that is a good option once the grass starts turning green
I put down Prodiamine this past fall & want to use it again in the spring as suggested around 55 degrees. My question is Tenacity is considered a pre & post emergent.I tried tenacity late in the season last year for the first time & got good results for one application.I want to do 2-3 applications of Tenacity next year in the spring about 10 days apart .Can I mix tenacity in with the prodiamine for the the prodiamine spring application then continue with another round or 2 of tenacity or would you recommend just applying Prodiamine alone then do my tenacity applications separate.I ask this because tenacity is considered a pre & post emergent. My thoughts are I could gain the benefits of the tenacity at the same time & save a step using both.I have some quinclorac if the crabgrass does come up.
Yes 100% mix them together. It’s really just a post emergent that lingers in the soil for 2-3 weeks. Prodiamine at max rate 1.5 lbs per acre can last 6-8 months. I have a lawn treatment business in Arkansas so I don’t use Tenacity here in the South and I doubt Jason does either. However I pulled up the label and read through it just to answer your question🤣
If your talking about field madder with the blue flower and marijuana looking leaves than Celsius is very effective on it. Three way and metsulfuron does not work on it.
@@eugenesigmon9763 I believe your talking about field MADDER. It does have a purple/blue flower and grows low to the ground. I can’t find a field manor on Google. What state you in?
@@davisfamilyshenanigans4807 I just seen that plant and that's it. What confused me was a professional listed it as field manor. So what herbicide will kill it in my yard?
A couple questions 1) its June right now in Iowa . Should I wait until fall or put somethjng down now ? 2) for weeds already there i am spraying them but what is the best way to get rid of them while there dying .pull or just mow ? Seems like mowing would just cut them . I kind of want to put a pre emergent now to save me trouble
I use prodiamine on my Bermuda but every other year I hire a company to put out Specticle Flo to switch up products. I can’t afford Specticle on my own😂
Thank you. Really new to all of this and in Georgia. I was super late so trying to get ahead for next time.
I have used Resolute for years. It works very good.
Will you do a video similar to this but with fertilizer? Showing maybe type to use, timing, how much you mix and how you apply. Thanks!
Yes please

Diminsion is good late spring for preventing warn season grassy weeds. Like Dallas grass, and Bahia.

For crabgrass yes. Not dallis and Bahia
Great Video !!! Thanks !!
Thanks for the info Jason! 👍👍
I'm using SF in May as well.
Suggestions on cool season grass, kbg, rye mix mostly to get rid of poa?

Does the Specticle work on spurge and chamberbitter? I own a lawn treatment business as well.
Definitely helps
What pre emergent for sandbur and grassy weeds?!
Thanks

That sounds about right for 1 million dollar policy

Mix a small batch , maybe s teaspoon of each in a 1/4 gallon of water to see if they mix. Gciturf on youtube did a good video on mixing chemicals
Pre emergent will just about mix with anything. It’s 3 way, msma, and liquid fertilizer that needs testing usually

About 0.6 lbs by my calculation and rate

Any preemergent work on sedge and kylinga in warm season grass?
