  • New OEM Nissan rear window molding trim installation before and after. Nissan's Nismo Heritage division is remaking OEM Skyline parts. Get them why you still can, many R32 GTR parts at end of reproduction cycle now that R33 is gaining more popularity in USA. It is so nice that Nissan of Japan created the Heritage program to get us all these new parts. Sure looks nice!

      You bet, this is one of my older videos when I first started my channel. I did order the entire front windshield molding kit. I have not gotten around to installing it yet. My kit is still brand new in the box and sitting on my garage shelf!👍

    On the trim… I need to start at the top middle and work my way to the bottom corners?

    • @JDMRightHandDrive
      @JDMRightHandDrive  2 года назад

      That is what I did. It might be easier to start at the bottom corners and work your way up around the corners to the center of the roof line. I think it would all line up the best that way. Installs easily it the trim sits in the sun for a while and gets warm

    Is there a part number for the center piece at the top of the trim or was it included in one of the sides?

    • @JDMRightHandDrive
      @JDMRightHandDrive  Год назад

      That little top center connector piece was included as part of the trim kit. Hope you can find yourself one. Try Trusk Kikaku or Terra FIrma. trust-kikaku.myshopify.com/products/oem-nissan-rear-window-molding-fastener-bnr32-663101062?_pos=3&_sid=e79717357&_ss=r

    When replacing those molding trims, do you need to glue it to or no? I have a 94 Skyline R33 GTS25T and need the back windows molding trim replace and front windshield molding as well.

    • @JDMRightHandDrive
      @JDMRightHandDrive  2 года назад +1

      I didn't have to glue mine on my R32. There was a little ridge along the edge of the trim that was pressed into place on my car. I believe that there is another piece plastic trim piece around the entire glass that is glued to the car. The outer trim presses into that and its held very snug in place. Was very easy to do. Let your trim warm up in the sun, makes it easy to work with.

    • @JDMRightHandDrive
      @JDMRightHandDrive  3 года назад

      If your car is sitting in the sun it makes the molding more plyable. I started at the top center and gently pull the trim out by hand. Pull it all out down to the edge and then remove the metal end pieces.

    Hey man, I cant tell by your video, did you slide the trim off? or did you pry it up? mine is pretty brittle and has rtv added to it by prior owner or some of the trim. I was able to slide of the metal corners as you show, but the trim itself wont budge. I just dont want to pry on it hard and run the risk of breaking the bottom piece. Thanks

    • @JDMRightHandDrive

      Mine was able to just peal away and pry out using my hands. Luckily mine was not secured with rtv. Good luck, hope you dont damage your under pieces.

    Great vid man, what was the cost of all the trim? The front has a plastic bottom piece that holds the trim molding thru clips of sort, does the rear have that? I am planing to do all the trims on mine. Thanks, thumbs up.

      The entire rear kit was around $140. You can find it on ebay from Nissan of Tacoma.

      @@SLR762 If I remember correctly everything you need comes in the kit. Just use caution when prying. specially the corner pieces. It all depends if someone did any sort of repair or touched it during the lifetime of the car, if that's the case then good luck.
