"Look, I write books, alright?" 😂 There seems to be an incredible amount of respect and comradary between these guys; it shines through in the video... makes watching 10x more enjoyable!!!!!
Tom & Dave , You guys are awesome , This has brought tears to my eyes ... Just doing Snowball & the family a solid getting #50 life again , Please don't ever stop being you and doing all that you do , I love the hell outta you guy's, Thank you both for all the videos ❤️. God bless
You really DID get Tom up there to help! Outstanding. I'm definitely anxious to watch this project progress. More fantastic content from Hagerty. Thank you!
I want to see more of these, at least one project a year as a grand finale with Tom digging up the history. Cool as hell and makes for a really good show.
Hope Tom is reading this, Took me a while to like his series but once I did I couldin't stop! Going through another difficult time with my health, but dreaming about having my own "Car barn" one day with all sorts of cars helped me! Hope to get the book even though I am not a reader!
- 9:14 - this is truly when BFH & RLR became “A Thing.” it’s Not Acting -or- Playing to the Camera; this is what’s honestly said over beers and/or across fenders. this Crossover project is really something to tune in to, as Tom & Davin squad up for excellence. I’d wish that Tom would adopt me & that Davin would marry my sister, but with me at 42 years old, it’s probably too late to become a “Cotter”...and my sister’s not as slim, tight & vibrant, as she once was.
I like the dichotomy of Hagerty, the raw expression of a car, simple purposeful to Tyrrell's Classic Workshop were the cars are watch like in their precision. But both have a love for the automobile and the history surrounding the people and machines.
I'm also a fan of the 55 2 door post cars. For years I was a 57 fan. My cousin and her husband probably have every car you dream of. His toy barn is filled with recent Corvettes and Camaros as well as some classic cars. His Mancave has a wall of Chevy engines and his favorite 62 two door post sleeper with a 409.. His hobby kind of grew :). I have a 37 Chev PU that I"m resto modding. It's a family vehicle, in fact was my cousin's parents pickup. I drove it 55 years ago with a slipping clutch and a wobbly front end.
Started with my friends, the open wheel modified, on small asphalt tracks, CT MA & Long Island, we had a 34 Chevy body with a 327 v8 , quick change rear-end, etc. Called it the Bondo Buggie !
This is crazy; two of my favorite host, taking jabs at each other... while they still agree on the best car out there! (My dream car as well, the GT40!) Thanks for doing this for us y'all, this one actually hit close to home for me...
Ok, Davin is a "young", talented guy but a recent celebrity. Can you imagine wrenching with Tom Cotter ? Yes, THE Tom Cotter. ! Amazing. A legend among legendary car guys. WOW ! I never thought I'd see that. The other legend missing here would be Peter Egan ! I won't miss a second of what those guys will show us ! I'm thrilled !
The split spring is an interesting take on the weight jacking set up. I have seen plenty where a wedge moved with a screw was used to preload the front spring bias to allow for tighter turns on the dirt.
I've looked forward to this one for a long time. I worked with a guy that was building a '40 Ford race car with a Flathead that is an exact replica of the car his own father raced on the dirt tracks of Iowa back in the day except for the power plant. Bill had a warmed over 302 Ford for it rather than a Flathead. I moved away from the area about ten years ago so I never saw the end product but the in-progress pics were amazing. Anxious to see how this turns out. Thanks for doing this.
Back when I was a kid in the early 1960's everybody was running the 49-51 shoebox Fords in the sportsman class at the local dirt track. They were cheap, easy to work on and parts were readily available. I had a cousin that was about 15 years older than me that ran one every Saturday night during the season. He would beat it up until it was too far gone and start all over again with another $50.00 beater. Even though we lived about 4-5 miles from the track you could still hear the roar of the engines faintly on those hot summer nights sitting outside.
I didn't know that Tom was going to be part of the restoration project too. I thought the collaboration was only going to be the one video, of them picking up the car. I am THRILLED that the collaboration is continuing! Now I can't wait for the next video!
Very cool guys! Two of my favorite Car Guys together in one show. I love the project. Vice Grip garage just brought one of these home as well. Life is good!!!
My two favorite Hagerty hosts working together, what a nice upload.
Couldn't agree more. I can't wait til' the next episode.
Very much looking forward to this series. Great idea combining the 2 shows.
😂😂 two old times taking jabs at each other, ahhhhh the good old days of workshop banter 👍👍
Best series on RUclips. Who needs sports when this is on. Great job guys.
"Look, I write books, alright?" 😂
There seems to be an incredible amount of respect and comradary between these guys; it shines through in the video... makes watching 10x more enjoyable!!!!!
I laughed when Tom said that too. This should be a fun series for sure.

This old racecar build is the best one yet! Im so glad you are doing this for such a nice old racer!
Excellent job. You guys do work good together or you are paid to work good together either way I love it. Bringing back history one bolt at a time.
You guys just created my new favourite show here, this is amazing!
This is great, I love the light jabs at each other, talking trash but working well. Looking forward to every episode
Man these Guys talking and dismantling this car was wholesome and satisfying 😌
Whatever it's worth, I enjoy the chemistry between the two. I would enjoy a regular show with the two.
This is going to be such a cool project. Cant wait to see the redline rebuild of the 440. Such a legendary mopar engine
Great to see Mr Tom get his hands on some wrenches👍🏽
Hope Tom is reading this, Took me a while to like his series but once I did I couldin't stop!

This is why I love America. What it used to be, compared to how it currently is. The true spirit of our nation resides in 2 guys doing what they love.

Love you guys apart and love ya together !! Sweet old Race Car
These two hosts make this show possible. And them joining together is like a super group band performing a hit song.
Looking forward to watching Davin and Tom fix this stock car for Snowball!!!
The collaboration we’ve all been wanting! Love it.
Final scene reminded me of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and I'm good with that.

Dream Team!! Nice to see you both working together!
Seeing the half spring setup makes it make a lot more sense on how the weight jackers work.
Can't wait to see how it turns out with this project.

I had its twin back in 1960 in Australia, 1937/38 coup, sectioned over the chassis about 4 “ , 38 Mercury motor running triple 97s.🇦🇺🦘🦘
Brilliant, looking forward to the rest of the rebuild

That car has some awesome old school circle track parts. Haven't seen those Franklin front brakes in about 40 years.
This is one of the best videos ever!
I remember that video.❤️❤️❤️❤️
I got a good nickname for the car Frankie short for Frankenstein seeing how it's made with so many different parts and makes.
Great video, guys. This project is going to be an awesome series to watch.
This is going to be fun👍👍
Tom you should do a video on your own personal car collection. That would be grand.
I really hope we get to see this finished and driving soon enough to take it back to VA and show it to Snowball.
When i saw they car on barn find hunter.....i thought that is the kind of car I would love to restore.
Great team work guys, the new guy always ends up doing the cleaning.
