Thank you Dave and Logan!😊 Fab Church! We felt the peace that was within it! What a great walk.... All those beautiful paths and bridleways!. Those views were amazing and the birdsong, soo uplifting! As soon as we heard you were taking the walk in September...We looked at each other and said... Blackberries for Logan and smiled!😊
Another great walk with stunning views! I like the way you show us the route on OS map and also excerpts from old maps. A real shame about those abandoned cars littering the countryside though. I am a great fan on William Cobbett and his rural rides and used to do a walk that traced one of his journeys from Upwaltham to East Dean in West Sussex. Logan is a great asset posing by all the relevant landmarks!!
We have just completed this walk today. What a super walk with some stunning scenery and yet another quaint, charming Hampshire village. We started off early as although early September, due to be 30+ degrees today. I am glad that this walk had a lot of tree cover and shade as that first ascent up the hanger was quite a long and tiring ascent. Thankfully those 2 cars in your video have been removed. Loved the 2 old tractors. We didnt view the poets stone as it was so hot but will definately revisit. We have been walking quite a few of your walks Dave and you have taken us to villages and countryside that we would never has discovered otherwise. We have been surprised about these lovely hidden Hampshire villages and countryside. Thanks Dave & Logan and looking forward to the next one.
Thank you Dave - A magnificent and scenic walk. My maternal grandparents Charles Hooper & Amelia Taylor were married at Hawkley in July 1909, and Amelia was born locally at Tubbs Farm in 1884. Fantastic to see inside Sts Peter & Paul church. A great sense of history possibly wandering in Amelia's footsteps. Sadly both were deceased before I was born. They lived in Sidlesham Sussex between 1912 & 1927.
What a lovely family connection you have with the village. You mention Sidlesham - I know it quite well - I lived in a bedsit there for a couple of years after I left home!
Another great blue sky video, ideal for another foggy ,cold winters day. I liked the two MF 35s ,I have restored tractors which were in a worse state than those two. Someone will take pity on them one day and restore them to as new condition. Thanks for another great video,
Thank you both, what a beautiful area, shame about the abandoned vehicles, the Massey Ferguson 35s are quite collectable these days. The first tractor we had on our farm in the early 1970s.
Hello Dave and Logan, longtime no see! Ever so sorry, we have been here there and everywhere, struggling to keep up on YT and all the great videos! Very much in the market for a good Hampshire walk though, so looking forward to this, might help walk off some mincepies and Christmas cake! Already looks like an interesting area, catch you soon, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 going to watch the rest as I type away this afternoon 😀
If you happen to be in Petersfield its a really beautiful area to walk in despite the steep paths. I can see why the locals call it little Switzerland. Interesting to learn that the poets stone came from Avebury. I'm from that area and know the dry valley at Fyfield where it might have been collected from. Sad to see so many Ash trees toppling over this season, it's really stark and noticeable now. Hopefully some stronger strains might survive the pesky infestation.
Very pretty church. What was on Logan’s mind as he watched you climb over that stile? I wonder if the police were aware of those abandoned cars. I’m surprised those cars weren’t set on fire. Yes Dave. There were. some great views opening out from the top of the hills. You’ve had some really good September weather for your walks this year. If I don’t see you next week. Happy Christmas to you and the family
Crumbs - that long? I should imagine that it would be very difficult (and dangerous) getting around that "blockage" on a horse. Such a shame as it is a lovely route up there.
Awesome video, stuning countryside views! Cheers from France!
Thanks and indeed thank you for watching.
Thank you Dave and Logan!😊

Yes indeed, Logan is already looking forward to the "Blackberry season"!
A fantastic walk Dave. Thank you so much for taking us with you. Absolutely stunning. 👏🏻👏🏻.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. :)

Thanks Jean. I find the old maps so interesting and enjoy trying to find out where "long gone" buildings used to be!

Glad that you had a lovely walk Elizabeth - it was certainly a hot one today!
A very interesting walk again Dave, thanks for all the information and lovely filming. 👌👌👌👌
Thank you both. The good weather helped bring out the views that day.

The most beautiful countryside
Thanks Keith. There were some great views there.
One of my favourite places to explore. Thank you Dave for this lovely informative video. I shall try this route out as soon as I can.
Thank you Deborah. Make sure you pick a clear day when you go, because the views really are quite something!
Wow that looks a really stunning walk ! Looking forward to doing this one
Thanks. It is certainly a great walk for views, for sure.

Thanks Colin. I hope that someone will "rescue" those tractors - they looked quite sad together!

Thanks Christine. You just never know what you might come across on a walk in the countryside!

Thanks Guys. There are some great views on this one!
@@DaveFord not to forget the two abandoned vehicles wow! About half way through now, steep beech woods 🪵 ❤👍
Loved the video Dave, full of views and history, fantastic! Have a fab abd festive weekend, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🎄
Lots of pretty walks for you both over the Christmas period no doubt.
Just to say have a wonderful Merry Christmas with Logan
Thank you and indeed best wishes to you & yours.
Great video as ever, Dave - happy Christmas to you and yours!
Thanks Kev. Best wishes to you as well.

It is a beautiful part of the world around there for sure.

I think that Logan was expecting me to follow him through the "dog access" bit!
I sent the first piece by mistake and was still editing it when you sent your ‘Like’
@@DaveFord Yes. That’s what I thought.
At 15:13 Logan is saying "you do realise if we go down there we're going to have come up again?"
Yes - he had worked it out!
Sad that the abandoned smashed up cars are still blocking our bridleway after nearly a year😥

Update: as if by magic the cars were removed this week 😁
