Great video, thanks. My pug likes to sleep on the keyboard too, but today I saw a great photo of a guy who uses a decoy keyboard for his cat while he works on the connected keyboard. Good tip!
Great video! I'm using the same lens, but on the R5. Recently, Canon released new firmware 2.0, Since I did the upgrade, I started to get blurry pictures. I spoke with Canon forum, and all they said was that something like could happen after an upgrade. You should buy RF lens... Do you have any recommendations? Something to change in the settings? I'm an aviation and navy photographer. Thanks
Thanks! Nice. I used to shoot for the Air Force and Navy in Okinawa. Loved it. As for the lens you can make micro adjustments with the Sigma lens focus adjustment dock. Have you tried that? I use that with a focus measure scale that you can get cheap on Amazon. With those two together I can fix any soft focusing lens issues.
Thank you for the video! Did you experience any pulsing, shifting focus issue with R6? I am having trouble with R6 II with sigma 150-600 setup to hold focus. It's so hard to hold focusing even with the sigma dock in lens adjustments.
My pleasure! No I haven’t experienced any issues with that kind of thing. It can usually nail focus every time except for the occasional slip. But still way higher hit rate than my mk4. Are you using the Canon oem adapter? Not sure if it matters but it might.
@@PeteLeong I use original adaptor but the pulsing issue is a known issue with Sigma 150-600. I want to change it but I like the lens a lot too. If 60-600 doesn't have that communication issue with the camera I would consider to buy that one.
@@ozanaktas8064 gotcha. Yeah I had the tamron 150-600 previously and it didn’t work at all with the adaptor at that time. The 60-600 has been a dream to work with. Hopefully you can try out one to confirm that it performs as it should with your set up. Only other thing I could think would be a firmware update but I’m sure you’ve already tried that.
So you didn't notice any issues with the animal eye AF ? Like no focus breathing or things like that ?? If not how many picture in 100 did you get sharp ?
Had some difficulty with a few animals if they had really small or dark eyes on dark fur. But for the most part it was really good. No focus hunting. Depending on the animal I’d say around 80-90/100 dead on the eyes. If flying or moving fast then that ratio drops of course.
Nice shots! I was looking at this exact lens for my R6 earlier today, so your video is timely. How's the quickness of the autofocus? Did you have any trouble with erratic movements from the animals? I'm thinking of this for both sports and wildlife, so I'm curious about how quickly it acquires focus and how well it tracks motion. Thanks!
Thanks! The AF is very snappy and quiet indeed. No complaints at all. Compared to my previous set up which was mk4 with tamron 150-600 I find the tracking much much better. The keeper rates with in focus shots is much higher also.
@@PeteLeong Fantastic to hear! I was looking at the RF 100-500, but it's just so expensive compared with used versions of this Sigma, and I'm not sure it's worth paying double for 100mm less reach. Your pictures look amazing. I'd be very happy with those results!
@@awakemyglory Ah yes the RF mounts are very pricy. Ive just been using all EF with the adapter and more than happy with the results for now. Thanks very much!
Dont think I mentioned anything about it being a review vid. But just for you, Its damn fast and accurate pared with the R6, sharp and very minimal distortion. Your welcome! ;)
Great shots! If you hadn't told us you were in a zoo, we would have never known! That Gorilla shot was unbelievable!!!
Thank you very much! Id love to photograph them in the wild but as I cant travel the zoo is the next best thing.
Brilliant Video, Pete Excellent Photography, I've The same Issue With Our Cat. Many Thanks For Sharing. 🇬🇧

Thanks!

I wonder how this would go on an eos R7!?
Yeah not sure about the fine details of the r7 but I’m guessing it’s just as good as the 6 with the rf/ef adapter.
Nice & thank you ...
Thank you too!
All the talking not not a single review on the lens itself. Speed accuracy of focusing, glass distortion and sharpness 🙄🤦🏻♂️
