    Happy New Year... Thanks for the video, I must say "very well done" I too have this Lens. And I must say it is very nice. It is a Beast! Great video! I have recently started looking into this lens as a replacement for my Canon 70-300MM. It's been a good lens and takes great pictures, but I find I'm still longing for more reach. I mainly use for my son's lacrosse and baseball games, plus I captured some great shots at a Buffalo Bills game in 2019! I think your example photos really helped make my decision. I was going to spend money on the Canon 100-400 L lens, but it's not that much longer than my current lens and the price tag is really hard to justify. The Sigma looks like a winner! Thanks!!

    For ultimate reach and IQ I use my 500 with 1.4 or 2x TCs. If I need light weight and versatility I use my 100-400 II, with or without the 1.4. I used to have the 60-600 but I got screwed by eBay and had to sell it to make up for lost money. I just rented it again, and I think I'll stick with my current setup. The 100-400 (with TC) isn't quite as wide or long, but it's a heck of a lot lighter and more compact, and it's a bit more macro friendly (although the 60-600 has a pseudo-macro mode at 200mm).

    Good to see you after a gap. I have the Sigma 150-600 and D500. Both are going to be converted into cash. I am finding the weight pretty difficult and think I may go mirrorless. I have a Nikon p950 and a Sony RX10iv. They will cover my telephoto requirements. I would like a full frame for landscapes and I am thinking of the Sony A7 although I do not know which version yet. As I get older the issue of weight gets more significant especially as I usually like to spend at least half a day to a full day in the field. After a day carrying my big lens in my hand or on my arm bits of me start to seriously ache. I suffer from osteoarthritis which may be partly responsible. Great pictures, really high quality, Nicole, the lens, sadly, is not an option for me.

    I've been planning to get either Sigma C 150-600 or this 60-600.
    Can hardly wait for your comparison video.
    Though I guess I prefer Contemporary due to it's lightness and price, but if picture quality and especially OS are better in 60-600 then decision making becomes a nightmare.
    For me the extra range between 60-150 is not so important, the picture quality and OS operation means more.

    PLEASE READ- SAVE SOME BUCKS!!!: Several commenters have stated the price of 105mm filters being prohibitive. Simple solution is buy (or may already own) a 95mm CPL, ND...whichever! Then purchase an inexpensive 105mm-95mm step-down ring, screw your 95mm filter onto it and screw that combo onto the front of your 60-600 OR 150-600mm Sport and there you have it! No vignetting whatsoever at any focal length/aperture setting. I even have the Sigma 105mm Protector filter on the front of this lens, then the 95mm combo and still NO VIGNETTING! I have the Canon EF mount version of this adapted to my GH6. Great lens...mostly used for video of wildlife, landscape and the moon.

    Ive had one of these lenses but opted to sell it in favour of the 150-600. This lense starts at 60mm i dont know any wildlife lenses that starts at 60mm.. The one thing i found with this lense is the range is to long. when your at 600mm the photos will become less quality because of the longer range. The more you zoom the less quality The 60-600 is a massive range and the glass is coming to far away from the sensor leaving less quality. stick with the 150-600. i woudnt consider any wildlife lense what dosnt start at or around 150mm.. 60mm is not a wildlife distance unless you are shooting when the actual subject is right next to you so which will prob be in a zoo or enclosure (Not really wildlife then)

      @@NicoleGlass Just so you know, it's a bad idea to feed the animals. Once they get used to people feeding them they can get aggressive and demanding. People have been bitten. Those chipmunks are cute but they also pack a powerful bite. They can also chew through Styrofoam coolers etc. to get at your food. And people food is bad for their health.

    You took some beautiful shots! I can’t wait for your in depth comparison video on the two lenses. I’m really torn between the two. I’m a full-time college student so obviously the 150 - 600mm is more appealing price wise but I also would prefer to save up if the 60 - 600mm is better than the 150 - 600mm. I almost exclusively photograph wildlife and I know both are good for it! I’ve see complaints of fringing on the 60 - 600mm when photographing at 60mm, have you experienced this?

    • @NicoleGlass
      @NicoleGlass  3 года назад +2

      Yes I saw the video where another photographer mentioned the fringing. It wasn’t an issue I noticed. The only time I saw a little bit of fringing was when I photographed a dead tree in front of a white sky, and the branches of the tree had a small amount of it. If I wasn’t intentionally looking for it, I wouldn’t have noticed it. Both lenses are great but I am keeping the 150-600. You’ll see in my video soon:)

      It protects it from scratches, dust, dirt.. I’ve broken cameras before so I’m more careful now

    Great video...I have the 150-600 C... on a 70D canon..I am going to try it on a monopod...just unwieldy for me...The shots I get are really great but the weight is against me ! Might sell it...

    Ive seen reviews on the 60-600mm lens. At 60mm most say there is fringeing. What are your thoughts?

    • @NicoleGlass
      @NicoleGlass  3 года назад +1

      Yeah I saw that too. The only time I saw a small amount of fringing was when I photographed a tree in front of a white background. It was quite minor though.

    Question from a newbie: I would like to take videos of birds in my backyard similar to this example on RUclips: ( ruclips.net/video/xbs7FT7dXYc/видео.html ) where the camera is stationary on a tripod and pointed at one spot while recording birds landing and eating food ( not flying in the air ). I have am considering buying a Sony A7Siii and a Sony FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS Super Telephoto Zoom Lens but don't know if that is the best option. I am concerned the SonyA7Siii does not have enough pixels and I am concerned the Sony FE 200-600mm will not work well at dawn or dusk which I read is a problem with that lens. Do you have any advice on which camera and lens to buy to take bird the type of bird videos I want to capture ? Thank you.

    That's a gross over exaggeration of 60mm to 600mm at 3.36 minutes. Know way a 60mm to 600mm lens would magnify the animal that much. You must of cropped the picture. If my 600mm lens could magnify an animal that much I would be so happy.

    • @NicoleGlass
      @NicoleGlass  2 года назад

      Picture is not cropped. Perhaps it looks more exaggerated because the first photo was taken vertically, making the sheep look even smaller on your screen.

    • @Rob-un6pj
      @Rob-un6pj 2 года назад

      @@NicoleGlass With all due respect, a 60 to 600mm is a 10 times magnification not 100 times. I just have to measure the animal, then times it by 10, to get the size it would be at 600mm. That how it works with most lenses. Unless this lens is really special. Also the sun is to the left on the 60mm picture, then to the right and behind you on the 600mm picture. You may not of cropped, but moved and got closer. At 60mm picture you are looking down on subject, then at 600mm, level with the animal. All the best.
