Did you end up getting that measurement? I plan to throw a boot over top of mine, so it doesn’t matter too much I guess, but ease of mind type of deal,
@Nathan Lyman I'm horrible. Naw I didn't bud I'm sorry but, the way we did it, set a level on the bellhousing going up and slide it up where it would be setting if bolted up and make an educated guess 😂
I’m currently doing a swap on my 2wd 1990 Cummins. Running Into some issues with my crossmember. I cut it exactly like you did in this video, but it makes the tranny sit way too high. It won’t even begin to fit under the truck. I don’t see any way to make it lower unless I move the crossmember further back on the tail shaft. Any suggestions?
Hmmm that's a tricky one. I mean it might not be ideal but you might could build like spacer blocks and try to drop the crossmember down some and bring it all in. Mine was just bolt up and go and it still sit at a slight downward angle. I wouldn't think the crossmembers would be different
Mine came out of a 96 and I used the adapter plate, clutch, slave, everything minus crossmember and pedals. The 2g pedals will work you just gotta modify the firewall some. It's alot easier if you can find first gen pedals though.
The pedals don’t work, unless you want to pull the dash and do some cutting and drilling and welding, the engine plate works, slave works, trans works.. that’s all about I know that works from 1g-2g
@Gage Davis my apologies sir you're right I did use max gear lol. The biggest thing is to make sure it's GL-4 rated because the GL-5 which most gear oil is now, will eat the synchros. I had to go back and look back where I studied it
Also wanted to see if you could measure the hole location from the heater box
The shifter hole I'm assuming? I can try to get you a measurement tomorrow sir
@@Ls1ears yes sorry i thought I put that in there

what did the nv4500 come out of and did the fot petals out if a 2g work in the 1g and the adapter plate work as well
